Exceptionally rude man! We've bought and sold many houses over the years and had dealings with numerous estate agents, but never in those 35yrs have I ever experienced anything quite like this! called to view a house currently for sale, enquired about evening, or weekend viewing, but informed they don't accommodate this, I joked "wonder if that's why it's still for sale?" to be accused of being rude, he had no intention of allowing a viewing, some people just shouldn't work with the public.
So be warned, if you're thinking of selling your property, then I'd certainly avoid Shaws, rude and obnoxious.

I rented a property from Mr Shaw for almost 10 years, If anything went wrong it was fixed quickly and was kept informed on changing circumstances. I found Mr Shaw approcable if needed

Having had no success and very little help with my original Estate Agent I transferred to Shaws and immediately there was a marked improvement in the service, knowledge and professionalism provided by Douglas.

I Recently purchased a property from Shaws of Lowestoft and found Douglas to be extremely helpful from start to finish. He’s knowledge of all aspects of buying and selling properties is excellent and I found him to be friendly and totally professional. He was even helpful in advising me during the process of selling my property back in London which was being sold by a different local estate agent. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Shaws of Lowestoft.

Rang up to enquire about a house and was given abuse down the phone about ringing more than once. The rudest customer service i’ve ever been given.

I would recommend Shaws of Lowestoft. Selling a property with them last summer, selecting the £499 package - opting for a few extras with floorplans and viewings etc. I found them very professional, excellent communication the whole way through, never had to chase, a swift and easy service and great value for money. I would definitely use again.

We would like to point out that Mrs Snell has never been a customer of Shaws of Lowestoft and we are very disappointed in the actions/reviews from Mrs Snell and her son. They were not involved in the rental/management of the property concerned and in fact the landlord Mr Fowler requested that we should solely deal with himself direct due to differences that had arisen within the family.

In April 2017 we were advised that Mr Fowler had passed away and we advised Mrs Snell as to the correct course of action. Mrs Snell and her son choose to ignore all advice given even though they have no experience of the letting/rental market including the law(s) that we are governed by. Instead they choose to believe that they know far more that an experienced agent with over 35 years knowledge/experience and 100's of satisfied landlords.

We would like to point out that we declined to act/represent Mrs Snell when she eventually choose to sell the property. This was due to the unacceptable behaviour and discourteous remarks made towards staff members. Since that time Mrs Snell has sought to add malicious reviews to any/all review sites that she can. As a company we feel that we are far better off without her.

What ever you do, do not use this company to manage your rental property or use them as an estate agent. Their administration is appalling, they are rude, unprofessional, and extremely difficult to deal with.

We used Shaws to manage my father's rental property. When my father died Shaws wanted us to use them as our estate agent. We decided against it as we wanted a well respected national company with a dedicated team of staff experienced in property sales to market the property and to negotiate sales with prospective purchasers. When we declined and politely explained our reasons for doing so Douglas became very hostile, aggressive and rude.

Since then, Shaws have sent valuable paperwork out to an incorrect address and have refused to provide duplicates. He slammed the phone down on me and has refused to answer my emails. I am in the process of using an ombudsman to resolve the issue.

I think they may have taken money from the rental income, but I can't check as they refuse to provide invoices. Extremely dodgy, unprofessional, hostile and arrogant.

Avoid Shaws of Lowestoft at all costs - do not trust them to manage your property.
