My husband and I watched Shen Yun in Waterbury last December. It was such a joyful and inspiring experience for us. From the very first scene, I felt completely drawn in by the graceful movements, vibrant colors, and beautiful music. The dancers were so light and precise, and every performance told a clear and touching story. I especially loved how the show brought ancient traditions and values to life in a way that felt fresh and meaningful.

What stayed with me most was how uplifting the whole experience felt. The combination of live orchestra and dance created such a warm and powerful energy—I could really feel it throughout the theater. We left the show feeling happy, inspired, and even a bit emotional. It’s not just something you watch, it’s something you truly feel, and we are really glad we got to experience it.

Just attended the 2pm show at the Lincoln Centre Theatre this past Saturday. I am absolutely speechless by this brand new choreography this year. There is one dance piece where the dancer changed costume right in front of our eyes under the spot light in a split second, I didn’t even blink and it took me a second to realize what happened, then I just applauded with my whole respect like the audiences around me. I sat at Row O on orchestra left and could see the dancers expressions and feel their insync breath on stage, as a dancer and equestrian I am once again stunned at their body control. A must see!

This show moved my heart. Regardless of your culture you can feel the connection if you’re open. You can experience the performers and musicians pouring their souls into each act in a way that really touches you. It’s not just about the customs or acrobatics, but the emotional experience, the goodness and joy experienced within the heart. Seeing it from a place of love everything is beautiful. I’ve seen Cirque du Soleil several times and never felt this way.

After living in China as an expat it was clear you can’t say anything critical of the communist party. Those that did were disappeared. I wondered how any human could overthrow such a totally controlling regime. I saw Shen Yun after returning to the US and was in awe. This show is MAGNIFICENT. These marvelous people are the most beautiful and amazing phenomenon. They have the brass balls to show the beauty and cultural narrative of traditional China that the communist party has tried so hard to so successfully erase. Like “The Little Train that Could” Shen Yun is Chinas true story that communism could not stamp out. Bravo!!! Magnificent. Truly extraordinary. Only Chinese commie internet spies and their propaganda brainwashed people could dislike such a formidable performance. SHEN YUN DEFIES GRAVITY and endures like a phoenix, bringing hope, inspiration and transformation. It’s a must see.

Shen Yun's performance brings people a wonderful experience, allowing them to appreciate the essence of 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture. I love Shen Yun.

It is a wonderful show! I really enjoyed, every program is beautiful! The costumes are well designed, fell like from heaven, light and colorful, flying with dancers movement, the scenes make me really enjoy!
The story is also very interesting, like monkey king’s transformation, the magic peaches, make me laugh a lot, it is really fun for everyone!
The music from orchestra is also very beautiful, unique and blended with eastern instruments. Especially the Erhu performing, the beautiful music really stunned me.
I love this show very much! Really worth the money!

Shen Yun is unlike anything I've seen. The artistry, vibrant colors, and sheer athleticism of the performers are breathtaking; you can feel the years of hard work that go into every movement. What makes it truly special is the heart behind it: traditional values and stories that resonate deeply. The live orchestra is extraordinary, blending Eastern and Western instruments in a way that is both unique and powerful. Highly recommend experiencing it at least once.

It felt like a high school theatrical/ dance show for children with inappropriate lame , political messages. This is not a show portraying the authentic Chinese culture. Very shameful. To top it off, significantly overpriced and long. The costumes were nice and the dancers put good effort into their work. Choreography was deplorable. People walking out… I wish they can put as much effort into the
show as they do promoting it. Disappointing.

I watch a intervju with a ballet star that had seen Shen Yun and she praised the dancers for being world top so I finally see the show in Copenhagen and it was truly the best dancers you can see and the symphony orchestra was epic. The tickets in front is expensive but when you meet the eyes of this young dancers and see the joy it bring them to connect with there culture that evil communism wants to stamp out its truly rewarding.

Gorgeous dancing and music; the colors of the costumes are sublime and the orchestra is so beautiful I have several CDs of it. My four-year-old son likes listening to the orchestra music too, and he requests his favorite Shen Yun songs when we ride in the car.

Our family loves the performance of Shen Yun, with beautiful dances, touching music and vocals, especially with the touching stories in the history. The show became our family tradition each year as they have brand new programs annually.

Shen Yun was exceptionally beautiful from start to finish! It is literally a feast for the eyes with its vibrant colors and very talented dancers. Classical Chinese dance is so beautiful- I loved learning about all the dance techniques too. The symphony orchestra was so perfect I actually had to keep reminding myself they were playing live. I felt inspired afterwards, like very at peace. Would definitely recommend to anyone to enjoy!

I watched it in Lincoln Center. I can not tell how stunning it is! It's not only a dance show, it's also like a life lesson. So inspiring!
It's a pure diamond in a descending society. It let me recall what is true beautiful, and what is goodness.
Everybody should go take a look, then really think about it by your own, but not be misled by others.

The dancers are of the HIGHEST caliber! And the message of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance is timely. It's what we need in the world today! Bravo Shen Yun!!

Best show I’ve seen in a while !!

Shen Yun Performing Arts is an experience of a lifetime, I love it so much that I go every year, since 2009, and I will never miss it for anything. It tells the story of their people, China before communism: it demonstrates the courage these performers have, as they are willing to display the truth about what is really taking place in China, and to stand up to the Chinese Communist party, which behind doors, uses certain religious groups to do the evilest crime: Forced Organs Harvesting. All these people with their poor reviews have either been paid by the CCP or have no sense of culture and traditions, which is why this is such a valuable performance in our days of age... The divine is in everyone of us... Here we are being reminded to trust and have faith in the divine, who remind us of its eternal protection. The stories are fun, alive, the background (3D patented) is amazing, the overall experience is so unique, the costumes are vibrant and so colorful; all who have ever seen it brag about their experiences and wanting to come back... so really You deserve to see it too! The CCP is behind all this defamation: Don't be deceived!!!

I was moved to tears as the curtain opened, the beauty was mesmerizing!
I’m very sensitive to energy and I could feel so much positive energy flowing from the stage. These dancers have achieved absolute perfection. I see the 1 star reviews and I don’t believe they are real…. Another smear campaign most likely. The show it’s top notch and you leave feeling peaceful and hopeful

Personally I watched this year Shen Yun Show in Sydney twice( one was 2026 Mar 24 ,7:00pm,) actually every year I watched it at least 2 time. It is very very amazing and very very uplifting, in addition I learnt a lot regarding the traditional Chinese culture and realized that before CCP Chinese people have so powerful culture and arts. The music of Shen Yun show is truly unique and very nice. The backdrop of Shen Yun indeed expanded the spatial dimensions of the performance’s narrative and setting.
