DO NOT BUY! IF YOU DO CONTACT YOUR BANK ASAP

Bought a prom dress for my daughter, as with most others the dress was vile in every way, did not realise it was not uk based & unfortunately came across reviews after the event, after a week of pointless e mails requesting a full refund & a delivery address to return I contacted my bank, I had paid by debit card & raised a visa dispute through them, sent the trail of e mails I had to NatWest proving I had done everything I could to obtain a refund, pictures to prove the dress I thought we'd ordered & the dress on my daughter, totally not fit for purpose, screen shot of their returns policy showing if there are any issues they will offer a full refund, the bank refunded my money temporarily which I assumed they think I have a case to receive the monies back in full with the information I had provided to them, that was a couple of months ago & I've heard nothing since. Worth a try for the sake of forwarding on a trail of e mails.

Ordered dress for a wedding, the shape and size was nothing like I had stated. The material is cheap and nasty, sticks together. They offered to pay for the alterations of my dress after they saw the pictures of me in it, then they offered to give me a refund to which I asked for a return label so that I could send the dress back, they have now emailed to say they will only offer 8% of the total cost and that I can keep the dress. I DO NOT WANT THIS DRESS, I WANT A FULL REFUND OF PLEASE.

Contrary to other reviews here, my experience with shillas was amazing, delivery was reasonable and the estimated delivery was very accurate, my dress is of very good quality very heavy(lots of beading) which shown it was very well made, the sizing was also very accurate for what was requested however had to be altered due to my own mistakes when ordering, I love the dress, very sparkly and I certainly stood out on my prom day, only improvement area I would suggest is how it wasn't entirely the same as the image, but I still loved it!

Do not buy from this site

Do not buy from this site. Order prom dress for daughter sized up two sizes. Arrived 10 days late even though we paid for express delivery. Still too small. Means that my UK size 12 daughter needs to wear a size 20! To add insult to injury they will only refund 8% of the cost of the dress.
What a way to spoil a girls prom!

when it arrived was nothing like the picture on the web site, which incidentally has now been removed, terrible quality so I got in touch with them straight away and asked for an address to send it back to as per their refund policy on the web site, they asked for pictures of the dress which I sent, they then wanted pictures of my 15 year old Grandaughter in the dress which I refused to do. The dress cost £117 they are still refusing to give me an address to send it back to and I can't afford to get my granddaughter another Dress until I get a refund and her prom is 07/07

This company gives you a dress that is not the one you fell in love with in the photo. They take a pic and give you their version of the dress. I have had such a hard time with them and did not get any value for money. They ask for pics and theis for others has not gone very far. Do not buy from the fraudsters. She gets them made in Singapore as the package says and then sells them for a hefty profit.

Terrible customer service from Linda, asks for photos of where the dress is wrong and then offers 8% refund and seems not to budge over 10%.

- Poorly made dresses, looks nothing like the pictures.
- NOT based in the UK, even though the website states they are.
- Will not confirm return address.
- Takes forever to communicate with Linda.
- Website says that they will refund even if you don't like the dress, LIES.
- Seems like a dodgy and ILLEGAL company.

It looked like a fancy dress costume.

I bought my daughter a prom dress from Shillas. It looked absolutely nothing like the picture and the quality of materials and manufacture were exceedingly poor - it looked like a fancy dress costume. Despite paying extra for custom fitting it was completely unwearable - we had to buy another dress. Do not buy from this company, you will not want to wear the dress and you will lose your money. I suspect that the positive reviews on the site are fake.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Georgiana and I have recently had the same bad experience as you with shillas.co.uk. The dress was not like the dress on the website,does not fit me at all and the quality is bad. After one month of emails Linda adds every day 1% to my refund. It is unacceptable. Linda doesn't want to confirm the return address.
I will report this to BBC Watch Dog as per Hanna's advice. Maybe if we all do that they will close their website.

Disgraceful

Ice ordered 2 dresses off of this site that don't fit even though I have sent the measurements. The dresses are hideous and I've asked for the return address so many times to return them and the won't sent it to me! This site is a joke and the return policy states they will refund if not suitable but is clearly not the case. I'd advise everyone against against buying anything on here as it's a total con!!!

We got our dress which is made of very low quality material and definitely not worth the money paid! Requested return address label and like the lady below we are communicating with a lady called Linda who has told us to keep it and offered 10% refund which is £11.00, I don't think so!

huge mistake

Bought a dress for a wedding. The dress that arrived was nothing like the dress I ordered. I sent the company a picture of me in the dress as requested. They apologized and offered 8% of the order cost.
I read further reviews and realised I am not alone as many others have had similar experiences. Unfortunately this is a fraudulent company. I contacted Action Fraud for advise. Frustratingly Shilas are in China and not the UK as stated, therefore, the money I have paid stays in China. In addition with this as I paid by debit card and not credit card i cannot get my money back .
All I can do is advise others not to purchase anything from this company.

I have been trying to return a dress that was sent in the wrong colour for 2 months ..I ordered Royal Blue and was sent Regency as delivery note clearly states ..I have been batting back emails to Linda at customer services who insists on photos which I have sent on numerous occasions ..The company are offering a discount on next order which will not be placed without the one currently in system not being attended to ..Do NOT USE this website . Beautiful dress. Extremely well made.

I ordered a dress then read the reviews..... not good. I even bought another dress to wear to my event convinced the one I had ordered would be a disaster, however it arrived today just before my event on Saturday and its beautiful. Quality fabric and well made. It has lots of embellishment and they are perfectly sewn on. I'm so sorry to hear of others negative experiences. I count myself very lucky.
