My daughter bought two dresses for a party. They both took ages to come. When they came the quality was poor and one was nowhere near the right size. 6 weeks of correspondence and frankly BS from the company (including offering a 6% refund) has got us no further. They refuse to abide by their own refunds policy. We are now reporting to all the relevant authorities and credit card company. However judging by all the below the relevant authorities already know and have not yet closed down scammers.

As per all negative reviews 'Shillas' website is something you must avoid. Do not waste time and money as they will substitute it with a dress that quality is SO poor you would be better of buying a fancy dress outfit from eBay.
Finally be suspicious of the good review on this website as I would expect Shillas were writing them.

I ordered a dress for my daughter's wedding, I wish I had read these reviews before ordering! Shocking service, please heed my warning - I ordered the dress in plenty of time to arrive, I was fobbed off with endless excuses, the address did not arrive until AFTER I had returned from the wedding! The dress was of a sub par quality - no diamantes as requested, and the dress was the incorrect size - it did not even zip up the back. I had already requested a refund when it came to light that the dress would not be here on time. Since returning from my holiday, the company first of all said that they would refund me the whole amount and let me keep the dress. Now they are saying that they cannot AFFORD to give me my refund (!) and that they can offer me 8% discount!! I asked for an address to send the dress back to but surprise surprise no such address exists! Their website clearly states that if there is a problem then they will offer a full refund. The dress was £111 - I am absolutely disgusted, please - buyer beware - this is a total scam!!!!

They are a total scam. My Mum who is 84 cant get out ordered a dress on line for my Sons wedding the dress eventually arrived 2 sizes too small!! They have done nothing to help and have offered 10% back which I think is insulting. My Mum lives on her pension and cant afford to buy another dress so she is very upset. Do these people not realise that people save money up to purchase these dresses and then get devastated when they are wrong. My mothers dress is bad but I feel so sorry for ladies buying wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses.
How do we close this website down? Surely there must be something we can do - does anyone have any ideas?

I purchased a dress from this company for my daughter's prom. I gave them her measurements but when the dress arrived it was very ill fitting. I was not too worried seeing as they state they will reimburse any local alteration fees. I had it altered & the seamstress was horrified at the quality of the workmanship. All the crystals were also falling off.

I contacted them regarding the reimbursement & they asked me to send photos & the reciept for the alterations. I did this & they replied say they would only offer 10% of the value of the dress back. Despite me putting my foot down & threatening legal action they wouldn't budge. I asked them the reason behind this but they wouldn't give one.

I also found out that they are NOT UK BASED as they pretend to be but are in Hong Kong. Hence why Trading Standards cannot pursue them.

The only thing I can do about this is to warn people not to fall for it as I did :( I just hope karma comes along & bites them hard!

So, after buying a bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding and waiting weeks and weeks, it finally came but is so poorly made, I wouldn't give it away, let alone be seen in it. Like so many on here, email after email has been sent and after sending pictures of the said dress to them as requested, they agreed the dress was very badly made and offered me 10% refund, about £8 - even though their .co.uk website states you can return it for a refund. Why are they getting away with this?? Their website needs to be shut down! I'm quite an intelligent person, just wish I'd done more research. Vile people!! What goes around comes around, they will get their punishment one day!

WARNING they are a total scam. They give you an option to have your dress delivered on a particular day that you pay £15 for I was due a dress to be delivered on the 13th June. I am still waiting. My event has been and gone. I didn't end up going because I had no dress. 😢 Absolutely terrible, I will be going to the police about this.

Bought a dress believing I was buying from a reputable UK company who clearly specified that products could be returned ( under the refunds and exchanges section on the website). So far after numerous emails to them and badly written responses sent in the early hours from them I have failed to reach a satisfactory return on a product of such bad quality that it looks second hand I am now having to contact trading standards for advice as to how to proceed! Extremely dis-satisfied,

Complete waste of time. Impossible to get a refund even though I had it in writing that I could return it if not suitable. Have to pug this one down to a bad experience.

Never order from here . Dress very cheaply made threads showing , too big . Tried to return it . They won't let me , even though their website says anything can be returned , they say I have put a photo of my daughter on their website , not acceptable . Be warned don't do it !

My daughter saved up for her prom dress. Dress arrived today, shoddily made, cheap material, could of brought a better dress from a charity shop!
Not as described! doesn't fit properly, gaping everywhere, back hem longer than the front, 4 inches longer than asked for, lining hanging out..........charging back with the bank on my debit card as they aren't responding to my email and no answer on the phone! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
Found out today that they are breaching copyright. The images on their website are stolen from Uk suppliers

I did not want to give them 'one star' on my rating but there was no option to place a 'minus' star!!
I placed an order for a dress giving my correct measurements etc. However, the dress was nothing like my order, exceptionally poor quality and did not fit. I asked for a refund and how to return the dress and ws asked if they could remake it. When I refused as the event I needed the dress for had passed I was requested to send photos of myself in the dress that did not fit! After this humiliation I was then asked if they could 'remake' the dress, AGAIN!!! Since that time they offered me £11; I paid £109 and the P&P was £19 alone! So how they have calculated this refund is beyond me. I am still chasing a refund and have told them I will report them to UK trading standards and chase refund through my credit card. I can see that many others have had the same experience and I really wish I had seen these reviews before I made the mistake of using this company. How can we prevent them from operating in the UK in the future? They should be prevented from operating their online business here as no other supplier would act in this fraudulent way!

As with others, the dress that arrived bared little resemblance to what was ordered. They offered £7 for a local see stress to repair..!!
We paid on credit card, so are persuing a claim via our bank (has anyone else had success with this?)
Just do not bother - disgusting how they can perport to be a proper company.

What have I done I got a dress of this poo site and its came looking nothing like the dress we order I've sent emails but no one has got back to me ....... All I can say is don't go near this site its a con 120 down the drain jokes

Why does this keep happening , BADLY FITTED CLOTHES DONT ZIP UP JUST DONT FIT DOESNT COMPLY WITH MEASURMENTS SENT TO THEM , THEN SITE PUTS ,,,,,, NO MATTER WHAT IF ITS NOT RIGHT COLOUR FIT OR MATERIAL [ALONG AS NOT WORN , WE WILL OFFER REFUND] ... This site was the worst I've ever been on for online shopping. The dress i received had absolutely NOTHING in common with the one advertised. When i tried to negotiate a way to fix the problem they refused to owning up to the problem they caused. Additionally, when i tried to get a refund they only offered me 6% from £112 that i paid. Utterly horrific. Definitely do not recommend to anyone. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

Ordered dress which arrived. Quality was good but was 4 sizes smaller than ordered. Returned and they denied it had arrived in spite of having proof of it being delivered . I have snet numerous emails and no repsonse. They just ignore me and I am still waiitng for my money back.

Sad, just a huge disappointment! Let's face it , all of the dresses look absolutely fabulous, who wouldn't want to buy one? Happy for those who may have had great success, wish I could say the same .
Still cannot fathom it, perplexed because the pictures look so amazing. You know, what they say "If it seems too good to be true........." .
Recieved a dress which clearly does not fit, emailed, explained with photos as solid proof, no worries, the reply... wait for it..... 'Keep the dress or accept £8 refund' or charge an ADDITIONAL £55 to remake? £ 8 refund ?????? The gall!
Are you kidding me! What is going on? What happened to their open, customer friendly 'Exchange and Refund 'policy, which clearly states, a refund if unhappy with the dress, it doesn't fit, etc etc.... well, all ofthat flew through the window!
Never saw that coming, about the refund or exchange policy, as a matter of fact, that very policy is what made me feel secure enough to buy the dress. 'Cloak and dagger' scheme more like!"
I even overlooked a few very minor glitches with the dress because, it was the lining material so no big deal, stitching was fine, the sequins were a bit .... meh, but thought you know what, the dress is here, grateful for that, it will be alright, ok, no problem, so had my daughter try it on.......What is going on ? Like NOT able the zip the dress up at the back, the first few inches and then ..........whoa like a 6 inch width difference??WHAT! Seriously ? Crazy if you ask me .. would never have believed it, still can't believe it. Those of you who are lucky enough to get a good dress, so happy for you but, lesson learned. IF you are super skinny maybe, take a chance and try and I mean it in the best possible way, but this is for a size 10/12 person. and it can't be zipped up? Waiting forever for response from them, showed pictures so they could see clearly I was not exaggerating in any way, shape or form.
It is not '1 inch' difference, where you could maybe wear an waist cincher to help, not even '3 inch' but total '6 inches' difference! Come on !!!.
I am not a massive complainer but especially , with such a blaringly obvious disparity, the very minimum to be expected is to keep your word and honour a fair exchange or refund. Can you imagine my expression when in the above email to them informed them that I was very willing to consider a different style, higher priced without a zip, to avoid that issues plus pay the difference. The reply was no, the tailor made it well, the only offer on the table is £8:00 refund, or pay £55 to have it remade. How on earth could I trust that the same style would even fit after such a massive error to begin with!
Final thoughts, going shopping for a prom dress, filing a report with the bank to get a full refund, plus can provide photos as evidence. Actually annoying, because it is rare for me to have a problem buying online, and usually any issue with other sellers is resolved so quickly and effciently, which makes for a pleasant transaction. By far, this is simply unacceptable, Good riddance!

No refund after payment for dress taken twice. Avoid like the plague.

I HAVE WRITTEN MANY EMAILS AND INVESTED A LOT OF TIME IN CONTACTING THIS COMPANY WHO ARE COMPLETELY IGNORING MY REQUEST OF A REFUND OR REPLACEMENT DRESS AFTER SPENDING 162 EURO ON A DRESS WHICH I DID NOT RECEIVE. I ORDERED A DRESS FROM THE WEBSITE AND RECEIVED A DRESS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TÓ THE COLOUR I ORDERED AND BOTH THE MATERIAL AND SIZE WERE WAY OFF FROM WHAT I ORDERED TOO. THE DRESS CANNOT BE WORN, AND WHEN I EMAILED FOR A REFUND THEY OFFERED ME A REPLACEMENT DRESS ONLY TO BE THEN TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE NEW DRESS AGAIN. WHEN I DIDNT ACCEPT THIS THEY OFFERED ME A 10 % DISCOUNT. LINDA, IN CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSED TO PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH THEIR MANAGER AND REPEATEDLY IGNORED MY REQUEST IN EMAILS. I HAVE LOOKED ON THEIR WEBSITE WHERE IT STATES IF YOU RECEIVE THE WRONG DRESS OR COLOUR ETC IS WRONG YOU CAN RETURN FOR A REPLACEMENT/NEW DRESS. THIS IS COMPLETE FALSE ADVERTISING AND I CANNOT RECOMMEND STRONGLY ENOUGH TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. NOT ONLY WAS THE DRESS I RECEIVED COMPLETLY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I ORDERED, BUT IT ALSO APPEARED AS VERY CHEAP MATERIAL. AND WHAT IS EVEN MORE FRUSTRATING IS HOW AWFUL AND UNHELPFUL THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WERE.
