Absolutely miserable service. Paid for service up front and was assured they'd take care of getting an item from point A to point B.
They increased prices halfway--basically, "if you want this delivered, pay us more money!" Additionally, they told me that we needed to hire ADDITIONAL customs brokering services--they only told us this after shipping the item, once the item was at the border--again, asking for more money to complete this. I talked to a customs broker who assured us their service was not necessary and we should be able to get the item through without any additional fees or permits.
ShipSmart refused to take accountability and I spent hours on the phone with customs brokers, customs themselves, and ShipSmart just trying to get a piece of art I purchased online from Canada to the USA. They really just charged us obscene amounts of money, upping the ante at every opportunity, and at the end of the day caused more problems than solutions. I would have been better off to take time off work, drive to Canada, and drive back myself. I own a business in the USA, and frankly cannot believe that there are any businesses that operate like this one with such poor service and entirely lacking responsibility. Truly worse than worthless.
Oh, and all of this took several months--I paid them more than $2600 USD over a month ago and STILL have not received the product!!!!!
Ship Smart was perfect for my needs of shipping a partial load cross-country. Very personal service unlike the big shippers. I also had to add in an additional piece of furniture after the packers had left. They were very responsive and accommodating.
The Smart Ship team helped me ship an antique Cannon! The project required residential pick up and delivery from New Jersey to Washington state. I was really pleased with the entire project especially the frequent communication all the way. Packaging, shipment tracking and delivery were excellent. I will ask Smart Ship to help with any special projects in the future.
Ship Smart people asked enough questions to accurately prepare for the shipment. I wasn't sure the packing was adequate for fine china, but the packers explained how it would be transported and I trusted them. Everything arrived in excellent shape, and ahead of the time they thought it might take. We were very pleased.
Prompt friendly and helpful service. Small load that I never had experience preparing. They priced, packed, picked up and delivered with very good communication.
This was my first time in dealing with a packing/shipping company to pickup and deliver a piece of antique furniture (a buffet table) from Vancouver to NE Connecticut. The person we purchased the furniture from in Vancouver recommended your company. The communication was easy and uncomplicated. I was given clear instructions of what was required of me in order to pickup the piece, pack it, the customs forms Ineeded to complete and an update on the delivery at every step of the way. When it came time to set up the delivery, that was easy as well. The driver who unloaded the crate was very friendly and dropped it off as close to the porch as possible on the driveway.
When we unboxed the crate, we could tell that extra care was taken by the way the furniture was carefully packed. There was a mirror which we were afraid it might break and the way the crate was packed, there was no way the mirror would get damaged.
The estimate was probably more than the price we paid for the furniture but it was worth paying someone who took special care of it and we're glad we did. It was well worth it to us for peace of mind.

Your company is amazing! From my very first interaction on the phone with your service rep the awesome experience began. Fast, efficient, friendly, seamless service. Had to move my senior parents from NY to my home in VA and arrangements needed to be made during a one week visit to help my mom care for my dad who had a serious fall. I was put in contact with your company, boxes picked up, all within the same week of my visit. The excellent service experience continued when I was contacted to arrange for my boxes to be delivered to their new home. The delivery staff were all great!!! I cannot thank your company enough for making a stressful situation very easy. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. What you do day in and day out is so very much appreciated.

Even with all of the particulars involved, all went smoothly. The delivery guys were super nice and communicative delivering during rush hour. I would recommend your service to everyone!
Scheduling is easy and forthright with no hidden fees. Movers arrived on time and worked diligently and efficiently while taking excellent care while handling items. Excellent communication regarding the shipment while in transit. Delivery to destination completed safely and in a timely manner. They make moving a breeze!

I needed to ship a couple of pieces of family furniture to my son across the country. He lives in an apartment in the city by himself. So he doesn't have a lot of help, flexibility, or space, etc. Ship Smart A. Wrapped the pieces SO WELL. No damage. Arrived ON TIME. My son's landlord had no complaints. On my side, it cost what it cost, you picked up when you said you would. NO SURPISES>

My new patio furniture was picked up in a timely manner in PA and then palletized and shipped to So Cal. All pieces arrived in perfect condition due to the super wrap and pack done at the main facility. I would use Ship Smart again and was thankful for the shipment to arrive when it did because I was actually there to receive it. :)
ShipSmart was fantastic. I tried for several weeks to identify a moving company to move some of my mother's belongings from a storage unit in Colorado to my home in Michigan after she passed away. I needed to move two chairs, a side table and some boxes. It was impossible to find a company that would manage a "small move" like this and also impossible to find a company to move bulky items such as small furniture. ShipSmart came and picked up the items, packaged them carefully and we selected a mutually agreeable date for delivery. It arrived on time. I appreciate that I can keep some of my mother's treasures.
Everything was done well, from picking up the items to be shipped, preparation for shipping, and delivery. Best of all, every item was in perfect condition with not even a scratch. Several items had hard to replace glass, but these came through in perfect shape. I'd recommend you guys again, especially for a pick up where the customer lives in a different town than the items to be picked up. You guys do great work!

Extremely good communication from the first to the final contact. Employees at both ends were professional, informative and pleasant. My table arrived in perfect condition and the fellows at the destination brought it inside and placed it for me. They even showed me how to contact them or make a claim if I found an issue after the delivery -- I did not. Yippee!
