I have owned a Rage 3S chop saw for about 8 years. Only now does the blade need replacing! My only criticism is the difficulty of undoing the blade lock nut. It takes a 35mm pin spanner to unlock it.

Had this one for about nine months. Bought my first one from well known outlet. got it home assembled it and found it was faulty, returned got a replacement same fault with the blade guard, returned got a third one, Yes you guessed same fault. Had a long discussion with the resellers customer services dept. they offered either a full refund as supplies of these had dried up or I could keep the saw with a 50% discount (plus full warranty even though they were aware of the fix I had planned), took the discount. removed the faulty plastic guard heated it up to reshape it correctly been fine ever since. Reason for 3 stars is the on/off button is tucked away and difficult to locate when handling larger material. I guess another mod is called for. For just a little more thought by the design team and this would be a great affordable diyer's saw

Ordered a disc cutter and paid £5.99…

Ordered a disc cutter and paid £5.99 for next day delivery on Saturday
Ordered at1.15 as they said order before 3.30
For next day delivery
Said it has been dispatched but there are no tracking details or even which couriers are delivering it .
Never had any information from evolution on any tracking number .
Emailed to ask what is going on ? No reply not even answering the phone .
Obviously this was never dispatched when they said , they just put dispatched to make you think it is on its way
Will never buy from them again as I needed it for a job on Sunday
Should have read reviews before buying from them .
Disgusting company , had to give one star but would have liked to give minus one

Hugely disappointing and v poor customer service

Bought an evolution fury sliding mitre saw - only used occasionally for the odd diy project so was surprised when it suddenly stopped working and wouldn't let the blade cover retract. Problem appeared to be a tiny spring that'd come detached but not sure from where so looked on line and contacted customer services who, sadly, proved hopeless as I gave them the serial number and she still sent me to the schematic for the wrong saw ! Persistence didn't pay off and as I was unable to ascertain where or how the spring attaches, the saw now sits in my garage gathering dust as it is out of warranty and I have found it impossible to find a company that services them.

I got 355 metal chop saw from machine…

I got 355 metal chop saw from machine mart about 20 years ago great saw cuts metal with ease it has done a great job over the years. Ordered a replacement on a next day delivery unfortunately it has turned up and they are not good with communication UPS who are delivering for them are a nightmare as they just say the delivery is on its way and the nothing comes get that most days. I have ask evolution for a refund they have said not until we received the good back which I have no control over think that is pretty wrong. Same I really liked the company until now.

After sales service a let down

Product arrived in good time, however the guide was manufactured incorrectly, collection and replacement of the machine was offered however i am not spending time fixing an issue they have caused.

Frankly a shame and a let down on something that could have been easily rectified and they say no parts in stock.

Basically it may offer good value but you get what you pay for.

Disgusted and will not purchase more equipment from them for my business.

Took my money and sent nothing

Ordered and paid for Evolution RAGE5-S 255mm Table Saw on 09 Jan 20, with a scheduled delivery in 48 hours. The next day I received a phone call saying that there would be a delay with delivery and gave me the option of waiting a couple of extra days or receiving a refund. I was stupid enough not to take the offer of the immediate refund as they've gone completely silent and I'll have to pursue a refund through my bank.

I bought the Rage 5S table saw in…

I bought the Rage 5S table saw in September 2020 and it was shockingly bad. Fence out by 11mm back to front, mitre carriage rattles in the slot and the mitre fence also rattles in the slot in the carriage. This makes accurate cuts impossible. The blade would not bevel over to 45° and the saw itself swings loose in when the locking lever released. I've have returned the saw receiving a replacement 11 days later this one is even worse. Currently (13/1/20) fighting with evolution customer services for a full refund, they are being difficult to say the least and have been very unhelpful from the outset. Overall a terrible experience, MY ADVICE IS DO NOT BUY THIS SAW OR DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY !!

Evolution chopsaw doesn't include a dust bag in the kit.

I recently purchased a sliding bevel chopsaw from Screwfix the saw works well and seems good.
However my gripe is how can anyone sell such a tool and not include the dust catching bag as part of the included standard kit? It's just ridiculous such a basic feature that even cheap aldi and bnq saws come with, never have I ever bought anything of this nature from jigsaws, rip saws plunge saws where this has not been in the box.... POOR SHOW EVOLUTUON

Absolute piece of junk
I purchased the fury 3b off a guy that had brought it in the UK then moved to Australia so it had a UK plug I thought no issues just swap the plug to aussie
It was brand new in sealed box so never used
After fitting the plug I tested it on 1.6 mm thick mild steel rhs.The cut was as rough as guts it jammed & stalled several times and sent red hot big chunks of swarf flying everywhere.I never used it on steel after that
The next time I used it was on some lengths of hardwood timber I was cutting up for firewood
It stripped gears inside the saw and now is unusable
Obviously I cant claim any warranty but just letting people know what piles of junk these saws are.
Did not even last 2 uses

Unreliable

Ordered a saw blade for next day delivery. Still hasn't shown up 3 days later. Phoned them and they said it will be with me in another 3 days on Monday. So I need to find one elsewhere for a job tomorrow.

Also ordered a "refurbished" saw. It was not refurbished, it was just used and still full of chippings from the last user and also faulty.
On the plus side they did honor the warranty and swap it over.

I'll be looking for alternatives from now on.

No to be trusted. Where is my money?

I ordered a refurbished Circular Saw directly from their own website. Looked like a good deal.

How wrong was I. They sent the completely wrong saw, amazingly enough it was a much cheaper model! Who could have guessed it!

I felt with their customer service team over the phone who were not very willing to help me. Whilst the item remains on their website I was told they don't have the stock to send me a replacement so my only option was to return for a refund in full. They had stock of the new ones but they were not willing to send me a new one to make up for their mistake.

So they arraigned collection with DPD for me.

Now, over 2 weeks later I am having to chase them for my refund. Lots of excuses, asked me for returns reference numbers that they never gave me etc... They arranged the collection so I can't see the tracking info etc...

So I feel ripped off by this company at this point. Why am I having to chase them for their mistake?

I would recommend you spend a little more on a well know brand with decent customer service. i don't really care how good their tools may or may not be, the service is shocking. Avoid.

Received a faulty saw

Received a faulty saw - at that point a very painful saga began that has cost me an inordinate amount of time.

Initial delivery and return were handled by DPD, who gave me a 1h window for both. They didn't give me the option of a replacement or refund, just shipped the repaired saw back to me a week later - it arrived in a poor state. My complaint regarding this was dismissed out of hand. A more forceful complain followed at which point they agreed to take it back. Getting it back to them has proved a problem - I've wasted the best part of 2 days waiting for a courier - communication non-existent, they claim they can't use DPD as the saw is too big (see above). Refuse to refund unless the saw is returned, but the only option they're offering is for me to spend ANOTHER whole day at home awaiting a courier who may or may now show.
I've given up and pursuing a refund via my credit card.

Spent £300 on a saw with next day…

Spent £300 on a saw with next day delivery. 10 days later and no saw, no response to multiple emails and no one answering calls.
Arrived today, invoice clearly states next day delivery but there was a lot of chasing up just to get it here. I was offered a discount code but I won't be buying direct from them again. I just hope nothing goes wrong with the saw as I can see it being a nightmare to get it repaired/returned under warranty

I wrote this review on Evolutions own review service but I always prefer trust pilot for my source of reviews as have had issues with other review services.

I think it's hard to really know how good a company is till something goes wrong, well I bought the new S355CPS metal chop saw and had some issues, Evolution sorted it right out for me in super quick fashion. They go for many extra miles. Do not think I could recommend more. Fabulous company.

Excellent products.

I have owned an Evolution mitre saw for just over a year and it has been an excellent machine coupled with their folding stand. When my table saw burnt out this year I decided on getting the Rage table saw. This to is an excellent machine that has more than paid for itself. Would I recommend this companies products, absolutely. Great British products made by a Great British company.

Rage 5-s Table saw

Recently bought the Rage 5-s Table saw and am blown away by the features that this saw has. The sliding mitre table, Full length sturdy Rip fence and extending table are usually found on higher priced saws. Paid only £246 from Toolstop.co.uk. It also folds away so can be stored in the corner of my small workshop. Setting it up out of the box was a bit fiddly and the instructions could be a bit clearer but apart from that I cannot fault it. The cut quality is also very good, I ripped a 6 foot length of 18mm Ply and had no friction burn at all. I have several Evolution tools in my collection and have not been disappointed with any of them.

Apart from doing what it says on the box, it's a local product made in one of the best places in Yorkshire!
