Good luck trying to register a product on Sony.it

Good luck trying to register a product on Sony.it. I purchased a Sony TV in August 2025 and have tried to register the product on the Sony it/ MySony since then without success. Every time I tried I received the following message: “"Siamo spiacenti, ma si è verificato un problema tecnico temporaneo. Grazie per la tua pazienza, stiamo facendo il possibile per risolvere il problema. Riprova più tardi." Every single time.

I opened a support ticket in early February. In the span of one month and 10 emails from Sony.it later I have cancelled the account that I had tried to create and was never able to access and register the purchased product and given Sony.it permission to create a new account in my name and have them send me an activation link.

Although customersupport.it [@] eu.sony.com promptly responds to emails, they only serve to relay messages from the “competent department” that has presumably emailed an activation link multiple times and which I’ve never received. It’s odd that I can receive emails from customer support without any issues but not from the mysterious competent department. And when I try to activate the account directly on the Sony website, it sends me to a broken link.

In this endless loop of nonsense, the latest recommendation is to create yet another account with a different email address.

I give up. If this is the kind of support given for something that should not require support, I won’t bother purchasing other Sony products in the future.

I've had every version of the…

I've had every version of the playstation.
You would think by the 5th version you would know what you're doing.
It's a disgrace people sitting up all night after hearing rumors. Think I'll switch to microsoft

My children really liked this console

Bought the children for a good study. Before that, they had 3 version, so they carried me on their hands for a whole month. Sometimes I can play with my husband myself)the Children liked the new games, as well as the image quality and new gamepads.

I have invested in three Sony products…

I have invested in three Sony products bought from Curry's since May and every single one has been faulty. Firstly a sound bar that just stopped working, then a PS4 that you couldn't play blu-rays on and now I'm stuck with a Bravia TV that has two faulty HDMI sockets. All I got from customer services was that I needed to bring the TV to some kind of service store in London. Despite me telling them that I don't drive and I'll have to take a 40in TV on public transport or in a cab. They also insisted that I was outside of my warranty even though I bought it this year in May. There were no apologies, no goodwill gestures, no offer to pick the TV up themselves despite this being the third time somethings gone wrong with one of their shoddy products, just the implication that this was my fault when the only mistake I've made is buying Sony products from Curry's. I'm really not exaggerating when I say that this has to be one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. I've never known anything like it. Then again I usually don't try things from Curry's and I certainly won't again. Absolutely disgraceful.

poor customer service

My grandson bought a Sony DVD player in Feb 2013. He used it in the back of the car to watch movies whilst travelling to London to see his father. We came to use the unit in August 2014 and it would not work. We tried cleaning the "eye" after talking to Sony but to no avail. James (my grandson) would have used the unit 6/7 times during 2013 as his father unfortunately died in Dec 2013.
I had always put Sony up with the best you could buy...not any more and because it is out of guarantee now by 8 months they do not want to know. What a waste of resources all because Sony do not now use quality products to make their machines.
James's previous DVD player lasted around six years and in those early days he would have been very rough with the machine but now he has grown up a bit he is very careful with all his "toys"
I wonder what Sony is doing to save the planet ? Keep away from their products they are relying their historic quality the modern ones are rubbish.
