After informing Burlap of some of my issues about ny orders, they gave me a full refund. I appreciate it very much!

Okay so i definitely would recommend NOT buying from this shop/site. But I had a reasonably stress-free experience with them. I fell for, as usual, the photos of the clothes on Facebook and I ended up buying their 'Vintage Lemon Yellow Dress' in a size M. I ordered this on the 5th July, and I received a 'shipment' notification on the 18th July. It arrived on the 31st July so all in all not a horrendous waiting time.
However the dress was as expected, a different material which was completely see-through, shade of yellow was wrong and it was just generally poorly made. The fit was bad, the sewing was awful and the pockets were sewn in backwards. You wouldn't even compare it as the same dress to the picture!
I was of course disappointed but to be honest, this was what I expected and I blame myself for being stupid enough to fall for these online 'shops'. I nicely but firmly emailed customer service and simply asked for my money back in return for the dress. I then logged into papal and requested the money from the company. Paul from the store emailed me back fairly quickly and tried to offer me an alternative item for free. I emailed him back and politely explained that I wasn't interested, explained my disappointment and asked for my money back as stated on their site. I mentioned I had requested the money through Paypal and would be keeping track of this. I was polite and honest. I got an email and a full refund today.
I know all situations can be different, but I really see no point going in full guns blazing and shouting off over email at the customer service team. At the end of the day they must get hundreds of these complaints and going on my customer service job experience someone who is polite, honest and well-mannered is far more likely to get their compensation. I found this relatively stress free, and have got my money back. I hope you're experience is better/similar!

this is my second review now. the first time i said that i bought a dress from them but iti didn't fit me at all. i asked for a refund, but on their facebook page and i did get it pretty soon after that. i also emailed them because i was afraid of not getting an answer, but i got one from both sides. in the messeges from facebook i was told that i'll get a refund in 3 days or smth and in the emails they wanted to send me another dress but luckily i talked with them on the facebook first. if you are in trouble with getting your money back, now you know what to do.

I think this company is a scam. Last week I saw one of my college friends had liked it and viewed the website. I noticed there were some pieces of clothing I had bought from an online FB store that was definitely a scam as the fitting was off and the fabric was bad and it smelled of chemicals. This week another one of my friends had liked a website called Fray. When I checked out the website it was the exact same website as Burlap! They both said they were American companies and gave money to a charity. Buyer beware. I don't know how the company can get away with this.

Can I give a ZERO!!!!!! CHEAP material, sizing is WAY off, and their 100% refund policy DOES NOT EXIST. You ask to send times back for FULL REFUND and all they do is give you the runaround that they will send you in another size. I don't want another size of cheap clothing. I want my money back. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!

I paid $46 for a dress that ended up being a piece of cheap material along with a horrible sewing job. When I have asked for information to return it and get a refund I keep getting the run around with excuses. $46 doesn't seem like much but when I just bought a dress from Nordstroms for $50 the quality is there.

In my opinion this company is a scam!! I ordered items almost 2 months ago and have still not received them.. And when I email them they give me the same pathetic response.. the tracking system does not work!!! Never again!! I demand a refund!!

BUALAP or BURLAP whatever this company is makes ridiculous, extremely cheap and horrible fitting clothing. I read on their website, that they offer '100% money back guarantee' hence I bought 4 tops from them. All of them looked so different from the pictures. the cloth is so thin and transparent, it is a see through cheap material. I have been writing to Joyce, Maria, and Paul for money back, however, they seem to offer only store credit or in another 5 weeks send other size tops. I have never had this bad experience with online shopping.

People ... never buy anything on this site from china. I bought 3 pieces of clothes. They sent me only 2 pieces. The cheapest. The most expensive clothes did not ship and they say I already received it. I sent several messages but people always respond automatically and never giving me a solution. I feel stolen by this company. Do not be deceived because it is a fraud! I want my money back!

I had a pretty good experience with Burlap. Ordered one dress for $25 - to be fair I didn't expect amazing quality and the fabric is not that of the photo, but the item is nice enough and wearable. When it arrived it had some marks on it, I contacted Burlap with photos and they responded quite quickly & offered to send out a new one immediately. The replacement dress arrived quicker than the first one had.

I spent over $100 on 5 items AT Burlap Apparel expecting good quality, gorgeous clothes. I was COMPLETELY disappointed. The clothing is of awful quality and all jewellery items cheap and the intricate detail so cearly illustrated on the website. The items were delivered seperately and staggered. So far, I have written three emails in an attempt to get the full refund they advirtise and it has been a hassle (I still haven't recieved my money back even though they advirtise a 100% satisfaction guarantee). I will not shop here again.

I bought a maxi-dress and the sizing is not compatible with the US at all. I followed the guidelines and ordered an XL and it nowhere fits. The return info indicates to send item back in original packaging. The original packaging was a mail envelope. I would have a closet full if I kept these. I need to return this cheaply made item. I will reach out to Paypal if no response is received timely.

I ordered two items - a cute blue maxi dress and a sparkly shirt. Both items came today - shipped through Tonga!!!!! The packing declaration slip said the items were worth a total of $6. I paid $62 for the order and to be quite honest, the quality doesn't even look like it's worth $2.
The items look nothing like the pictures depicted on their website. The material is some kind of synthetic mess - I would be afraid to wear. The sparking t-shirt, lost a handful of the sequins when i held it up to look at it!!!

I ordered 4 small makeup bags May 22, I sent multiple emails starting in June asking why I had not received the items. It is now almost 9 weeks since I placed my order and they have not replied at all. They use surface mail from Singapore and now can't track the item once it arrived in Canada.

Don't order from them, they have no control over their suppliers and their Customer service does not have the visibility or capability to make it right for the Customer. My $45 USD mistake

Ordered dress for my wife... wrong size, low quality. When I emailed on how to return received no response until today. Will give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

I ordered some things (for around 50$) some weeks ago. I didn't get any kind of email of confirmation, just an e-mail with a 30% discount offer on my next order, because they are so happy I ordered something. I didn't receive my order and the "Help" E-Mail adress on the website doesn't work, probably a fake. The money is already gone and there is no way to reach the company and I don't know how to get my money back.

Update 15.08.: After finally reaching the company via Facebook I got some informations about my order and I received the order itself some days ago. The things are okay, but they look a bit cheaper than presented in the website, especially one dress, which is very very short and its fibre doesn't have the highest quality (the photos on the website looked a little bit different). You should know that you get the things directly from China, which is why it takes so long for the order to arrive (and also maybe why they smell slightly unpleasant (chemically) when unpacking them).
So all in all, I think ordering from Burlap Apparel is working, but I wouldn't recommend it. First of all I don't understand why I didn't receive any kind of reaction/confirmation after ordering and had to contact the company myself on it's Facebook page because the email address didn't work. Secondly, the order took very long to arrive (but at least Burlap would apologize for that). Thirdly, the things vary in quality, size and look from the things presented on the website.

Do not order from them. My credit card was immediately hacked after placing the order. I reported them to my card company!

I placed an order back in May for a vacation I was taking in June. Sadly to say the merchandise came in Monday. 7/24/2017. I've been emailing this company for weeks about a refund and I keep getting the runaround. The Quality of clothes feels and looks as if I bought them from a dollar store. I've been offered a store credit or the shipment to be replaced. I just want my money back no ifs nor ands. I will keep posting here and every place else because this is unacceptable . I am very unhappy with service, replies, and merchandise. I want all my money back including shipping.
