My favorite program for compressing images on my website. The compression rates are very good and everything runs in the background.
Since I've had Shortpixel, I no longer have to worry about image size and image optimization.

Upload photos, embed them in WordPress, and that's it.

If something doesn't work, the super friendly support team helps within hours.

Great app, great customer service and overall great experience for 4+ years.

I used ShortPixel’s one-time paid plan to optimise the images on my medical website, but the overall experience was disappointing. The bulk optimisation process was extremely slow — it ran for more than 36 hours — and still finished with 197 errors that now require re-optimisation. Unfortunately, the improvement in my PageSpeed scores was trivial (if any). I understand that website speed is influenced by other factors such as server response time and JavaScript issues, but I expected to see at least some noticeable gains after image optimisation.

One important note: ShortPixel consumes a surprisingly high number of credits, sometimes close to 100 credits for a single image when thumbnails and alternative formats are included. Also, to avoid repeated timeouts, you must whitelist their API both on your hosting server and in Cloudflare, or the optimisation may run even slower.

The only positive aspect is their support team — they respond quickly and provide thorough, helpful explanations. Unfortunately, the technical performance and overall results did not meet my expectations.

I used to use this all the time before COVID when I closed my store. Just went back to use it to build a new website and it isn't working. Sent them an email 2 days ago and crickets.

Been using one of the ShortPixel products by quite some time and recently I wanted to change my subscription type to go for an Unlimited plan. Having multiple clients I needed to find a streamline way of doing this and asked the support team. They were immensely helpful, very fast replying and asking me about my current setup.
In the end I was proposed with a 5 domains Unlimited plans and details about how to handle this as per my setup. Super custom, my mind is eased now a lot and am happy using the optimization service on my clients. Thumbs up!

Just deactivate the plugin due to some some issues and worte down the reason on pop up form. A little while support team contacted me and did the followed up on my staging site and solved the problem (even it was my false setup in Cloudflare rather than plugin itself). I am not a heavy user, paying couple of bucks per year and be honest, their support is quick and better than a lot of WordPress brands.

I tested different image optimization plugins and this is definitely the best in my opinion. A lot of settings for image quality, thumbnails, resizing, backup of original images etc. I am using it on many websites and the good thing is that the credits are affordable.

I am building a large site loading products with an APi. None of the images are optimized and there tens of thousands of them. Far and away the most efficient and cost-effective image optimizer I have ever found - Shortpixel. I actually forgot I had an account as I haven't used it for a long while, but I was frustrated at another plugin I was testing because of the monthly costs. So I remembered Shortpixel and there were all my years old credits. Works superbly and sooo affordable.
