Loving the experience so far. All went very smoothly with placing initial order and receiving the device and first pod right on time. Little over 1 week later and I’m harvesting some Yellow Oysters. Hats off to these guys for achieving what they have in terms of a joined up experience bringing together the hardware, software, service. Yes, there are other ways to grow mushrooms but Shrooly make it very accessible and the S1 USP is that it also a great addition to any room. Good build quality and design - becomes a real talking point amongst the family! Looking forward to my next pods arriving.

Received the unit and my first pod. The unit was as expected and very simple to set up. My first pod was the pink oyster and it grew wonderfully and I am on the second growth for the same pod.

Seems to be a decent product but it took forever to arrive and communication wasn't good.

The product is well designed and easy to use. I had a couple of minor technical issues but they seem to have been resolved with firmware updated and customer service has been responsive so I am pretty happy overall. Only comment to consider is that the harvest volume suits a small family. I have 6 and each flush is a nice addition to a meal but probably not enough on its own for a whole meal... more reason to get a 2nd unit!

I've had a fantastic experience with the Shrooly team - from easy ordering, to quick shipping, and emailed questions answered right away...the device itself is ingenious and makes growing easy and interesting, especially for newbie growers like myself.

Great product. Great company. Easy to use and clean. Honestly has yo be the coolest and simplest machine to use to grow fresh mushrooms at home. Multiple flushes on each pod

Beautiful experience, following the procedure everything worked very well and I ate some very good mushrooms. I have already started with the second cultivation

I popped the Pink Oyster pod into the device after cutting an X on the top of it and filling the humidifier reservoir, and started a cultivation using the app. A week later I had a generous harvest. Overall a great choice for people who want to grow mushrooms at home, but struggle to provide the right environmental conditions for other at-home kits.

Very excited to receive the container and grow the mushrooms. It was easy to set up, however since the first grow it's been a nightmare. App doesn't work. You can not end the cycle from the app, you don't get updates when water has run out, it's useless.
Support is awful, very slow to respond, will need a lot of chasing, not very helpful answers. Took them a week to tell me to re-istall the app as it kept on crashing and couldn't end the cycle. Have done everything they advised, on my second cycle and yet again I can not end cycle from my phone.
My second attempt to grow mushrooms. First harvest was pretty small, but it was still exciting. The second one didn't have anything, no change no sign of any mushrooms. That is 50% of unsuccessful growing experience for me. Consider each pot costs €20+ shipping - this is awful!
For the price it is - definitely not worth it.

got great results from our first pink oyster pod. was able to get two full harvests off of two flushes. very clear instructions and the feedback from the device is great

So far so good. One successful harvest of yellow oyster. Enough for about 2 breakfast burritos. I like the very concise, step by step instructions to get going. I purchased the device mostly for the novelty, not so much for practicality of a food source. For the price of each pod, I think it will be unsustainable me to buy these week after week. I think in order to maintain customer engagement, shrooly needs to look at getting the pod price down or offer other ways to grow mushrooms. Like how to make your own pod and just buy the spores at a lower price. There is a market for the "science kit kid". More educational content would be amazing.

I've been overall quite satisfied with my Shrooly experience. So far I've had two different oyster mushroom pods and the incubator has worked well. In some cases, the app is a bit clunky when starting a new cycle but I was able to work around this by using the controls directly on the incubator.

The musrooms look very cool and I've been able to even shoot some interesting time lapses of mushrooms fruiting in the chamber.

From a cost standpoint, I'm not sure that I'm saving money growing my own mushrooms so this might be my only point of feedback. My local grocer has a couple varieties of oyster mushrooms for around $14/lb though they don't carry these specialized yellow and pink varieties. I suspect the yield from a pod is not really nearing 1lb at $20 per pod but I do really like the cool factor of producing them myself so I am still find that this was worth the money for me.

Beyond that, I will say that Shrooly offers some mushroom varieties that are not otherwise available from local shops as far as I know and this could be an additional advantage.

I would have given this a 5 with my recent experience with Shrooly the device and the customer service in the past 2 months. The only reason for a 4’star is the frustration after ordering it through Indigo/kickstarter 2-3 years ago.
The company’s customer service has done a 180 degrees recently and have been phenomenal in responses.
As for the actual Shrooly device it’s very cool and within a week of starting my pod I had beautiful tasty yellow oyster mushrooms.
The app let me know when the room wasn’t warm enough and when I needed to add water to the humidifier filter device inside. Their AI help is the best I’ve seen as well for instant helpful advice. Living in Alaska and being used to waiting for customer service to respond 5 hours later it’s nice to have help on most issues right away. They’re team seems to have learned and grown.

Once we received the product (delayed due to shipping and production issues which the company did an amazing job with email updates) we immediately started using it. Our first experience was not optimal due to user error ( I failed to check the water level - despite the machine reminding me) however we our on our 3rd round and are loving it. Not only are the mushrooms delicious, they are fascinating to watch grow. It is like a constantly changing piece of art

It took a bit longer than average (because I turn off the house heating overnight and temperature goes below recommendation) but I successfully produced my first mushrooms and I am excited to try all the available types!

I am deeply disappointed with Shrooly and feel compelled to warn others. What began as a promising crowdfunding campaign has devolved into a textbook case of misrepresentation and unethical business practices.

I initially backed Shrooly’s mushroom-growing device in good faith. Here’s what has transpired:
• I paid for the device as part of their campaign.
• Later, I was unexpectedly asked to pay additional fees for shipping—despite no mention of this up front.
• I paid, assuming this would finally result in delivery.
• To date, no device has been shipped.
• After claiming to have forefilled all their European orders, Shrooly is now refusing to ship the product unless I pay more—this time for shipping of so-called “free pods,” which were advertised as included.

This is a classic bait-and-switch.

When I requested a refund, they denied it—citing a 3-day refund window. A refund window that begins before a product is even shipped? That alone raises serious questions about the legality of their terms.

Their pattern of behavior—taking money, failing to deliver the product, inventing new charges, and refusing refunds—may constitute deceptive trade practices and potential fraud under consumer protection laws. I am currently documenting my case for escalation to relevant authorities, including consumer protection agencies and payment processors.

I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase or backing this company to proceed with extreme caution, or better yet—walk away.

This is not just bad service. It’s a breach of trust that may well cross the line into illegality.

Machine just works and the mushrooms just grow. Great app and great machine

We've got two batched of Oyster Mushrooms from one brick. The app could be better, but overall a positive experience!

Ordered a unit in December 2024 and still have yet to receive any estimate of ship date even though when I placed the order, they stated January/February 2025. I have written 3 times for a refund. A “cute” AI response follows sending me to a web of email/phone calls. Finally I get word that there are no refunds after 3 days after the order is placed. Oh, and this is crowd funded so I should be happy to even get to participate.
