The storage access was great. The place was a bit eerie at night probably due to the lighting.

Everything was fine except the initial entry - for some reason the full code was not sent via e-mail and I needed to request it separately from the Reception desk. Otherwise, very helpful staff on-site and clear process.

This storage shurgard Amstel is such a stealer. They have stolen all my belongings and even the CEO of Shurgard asked them to return my belongings but they did nothing. It is not a storage , it is a criminal gangs organisation who open your unit without calling you on your urgency phone number. I made several complains to the authorities.

The store manager has to follow the CEO of the company’s instructions to return all my belongings, it was purely stealing, my rent was even paid in advance last year, you should not treat a client who paid in advance brutally without any respect, they should stop inventing stories to maintain this criminal behavior. I have all paid proof and all paid proof in advance.
There is no contact from the store manager who signed the authorisation to steal my belongings and who made faked proof to allow her to organise criminal activities. Unless that person doesn’t work there anymore after my complain to the CEO, the highest decider of the company.
They still currently ask a second hand shop owner to sell my belongings even though I don’t owe them any money, moreover I have paid more than i should pay. They are infringing criminal law to sell belongings which are mine. You should have studied basic economic and financial knowledge before working for any company. Everything has their value and no one loses property of their belongings because shurgard’s staff steal it! It is forbidden and criminal to sell my belongings without my clear written agreement by myself.
Please let them know they should let Shurgard Headquarter and the CEO fix the problem to return my belongings, as staff of shurgard Amstel clearly have no skills to understand the problem they created and to manage my case, they are just lying against all paid bills as proof. The court would check all proof without any problems against their lies.
I am waiting for having access to my unit to pick my belongings up. Please Ask skilled shurgard staff to fix a date and an appointment to give me the access to my unit.
I am informed that the shurgard Amstel store manager’s behaviour is infringing criminal law article 326.
Shurgard Amstel has committed serious criminal defence for lying to steal my belongings. According to the article 326 of Dutch criminal law, his and her lies in this situation is a criminal offence.

The best customer service I have ever received in my life. I'm being absolutly serious. I needed a storage unit a day early than I had booked, on a national holiday, on a Sunday, and an intern made sure I got my unit, gave me a temp code to get into the building, and cleared it with his manager in under an hour. I was blown away. Very kind, understanding, flexible, and efficient. Shurgard has set a new standard in customer service. Keep it going. I wish every professional interaction was this easy and smooth. Will recommend to anyone wanting to use storage.

Very good experience, great communication too!

Efficient booking interface, good amount of information on the website to make your choice of storage unit. Easy access to unit and open until 23.00. Everything exactly as you need.
Only issue is the building my unit is in only has 1 lift and 4 trollies, so if it's busy and you have big/heavy stuff you can be waiting around a long time.

Good service overall, quite easy and straighforward.
BUT please change your trolleys (or cart or caddie). These chariots are a living nightmare: heavy, not rotating and not practical at all.

Good, loyal customer at Shurgard.

Very well organised storage. Only problem was that the key broke in the lock but apparently it's a rare issue?! We will never know!
One can drive in with the car, the lift is super fast, spaces well protected against humidity and spacy. We had to push a little to get a full in person explanation but they ended up showing us around and explaining everything.
Last little minor inconvenience was that they basically wrote us that we left before we even had time to give notice. Like, chill.... I am feeling stalked. Give me a couple days to reach out. Too small and maybe unrelated inconveniences to change my mind that this was a great storage facility. And very cheap due to the special 1euro for the first month offer we have received.
