Shurgard Self Storage - Ashford Reviews 

They are out of their minds with the prices. I signed up 3 months ago for a 55sq storage and the full price(no discounts or anything) was 79/month. Now I was looking on the website to change to a smaller locker as I've gotten rid of lots of stuff and my 55sq locker is at 150/month(and apparently that is a special price)!!! That is 90% increase in 3 months!!! If I downsize to 20sq, I'll be paying the same price I am paying now for 55. That is daylight robbery and I'll be taking my stuff to the bin rather than paying these ridiculous prices.

Not to mention when I was typing my phone number in the forms and changed my mind, closed the tab without saving, clicking on anything or accepting any terms, they saved it and they spammed me with phone calls (hello GDPR??!?) and when you ask them not to call you because you didn't click on anything, they apologise and do it again.

Easy to book online and clear instructions. A quick phone call allowed me to clear up another question I had and it has all been plain sailing since then. The storage is easy to access and clean and the staff are helpful and happy to answer any queries. Thank you Ashford team! :)

The process was easy and the subsequent customer service calls were very professional and welcoming.

Was looking for an intermediate storage option while waiting on a house move - Shurgard in Ashford.

Easy to set up - i choose the ‘in person’ option at the store to make sure i had the right size unit and was given advice on how to change and the alternative prices
Good to know that i can upgrade to a larger unit if needed

Pricing is made clear from the start, i had my own padlock
Easy to access and knowing that i can do a car load when i am in the area is very helpful

From the very start of my enquiry the staff have been amazing and so very helpful. I feel relaxed knowing that my belongings are in such a safe environment. I had a great experience with the staff at Shurgard, from my initial inquiry to actually using the storage. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service overall.

All the staff at ashford are really helpful and friendly, and the storage areas are good condition and easy to access

A superb storage solution I feel confident in. Both onsite and online staff are friendly, personable and professional. Communication throughout the process has been excellent and I never once felt lost or lacking in information. The storage site I am using is really well organised, clean and secure. I have every confidence that my items in storage are safe.

Really helpful staff, especially Dan in the Ashford branch. Excellent advice on size of container needed, easy access, helpful equipment to move things around, available at short notice too. A very positive experience, highly recommended

Seems to work well, friendly helpful staff

So outraged by Shurguard.

They need to do work on the area in which my unit sits. They've told me I need to move all my stuff into a different unit and they'll give me one month's storage free. However, I'm in the midst of a house move so all my furniture is in there and it's too much for me to move it personally without hiring help.

I said if they could arrange for it be moved, that'd be fine with me but they've refused and said I need to move it or my contract will just be terminated.

This is outrageous customer service. Shurguard has a need (that I've not caused) and therefore it should be for Shurguard to sort it out. Unfortunately this has tainted an otherwise good experience and I wouldn't recommend them on this basis.

Smooth as silk renting a unit

A little bit on the pricey side, and insurance is a bit of a con, £18 to insure stuff that isn't necessarily worth insuring, but I guess it's necessary for everyone for protection of the premises and people naturally can be stupid so it does serves a purpose. Very nice facilities with lovely staff to assist (Sarah I believe her name was, friendly and knew her stuff which is what you want). Everything is super secure and looked after. Instructions are very clear and transparent, the do's and do not's. Lots of options to chose from storage wise. Staff happily showed us spaces available so we could chose what was right for us. Opening times could be a little longer as current times are a little restrictive (maybe a chance for some automated solution here for our of hours who be beneficial) but overall core hours are manageable.
100% would recommend to anyone looking to storage stuff away from home and in trust-worthy hands.

Very efficient and helpful

Shurgard took over LocknStore, so this branch may temporarily be a bit scruffy.

That doesn't matter as the staff, in particular Sarah, were friendly, helpful and efficient.

There are several useful small lockers, 10 cubic feet, and one easily took a small car load of possessions. Thanks!
