Wayne and Kevin have been incredible ambassadors for ShurGard.
From the first day I stopped by to explore the options available they have been helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
How they recall who is in each unit I do not know, but I always received a greeting that felt personal. If I ever asked a question about the unit, they didn’t need to ask which one-they just knew!
Excellent customer services, succeeding by not being too overbearing and by genuinely solving the need I had for mid-term storage.
I would highly, highly recommend the Ipswich team as a place for anyone looking at flexible storage options.

Bow, London WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY DESPITE NOT MOVING IN
Edit 29th June - please escalate this to the regional manager. I have already requested a SAR of my account and heard nothing back. I am not interested in speaking with the Bow manager as they have already been dismissive and ignored me.
UPDATE* after speaking with Chris this morning who has confirmed i made a call on the 19th may, after Ibs got back to me being rude and dismissive, they’re now claiming shurgard don’t record calls and that i never made a call! They’ve called me a liar on the phone.
Bow, London are thieves! My move in date was 16th May, I called 19th May asking to swap to another branch and was advised I would need to cancel with Bow instead and create a separate contract with the desired branch I wanted to switch to. So on the phone call I gave my consent to cancel my Bow contract as I was still in the cooling off period. The customer advisor ran through all the details and on the phone confirmed to me that the contract was cancelled! To my surprise, I receive an email later in June asking me if I still want to use my storage unit as I have not moved in yet (despite having been told it's cancelled!). I proceed to engage with the email explaining that I already cancelled my contract with Bow (calls are also recorded and every person I've spoken to has refused to acknowledge this part of the story), and telling me that I am liable for the fee for the month! Now they have stolen money from me despite their staff telling me it was all cancelled well before the 14 day cooling off period! I have been told by Bow that I cannot give notice over the phone, and only by writing. if this is true, why did you staff member confirm the cancellation over the phone?? Why should customers be penalised for their staff not being trained properly?? Bow have been absolutely disgusting and dismissing all my emails and refusing to give sufficient responses, and conveniently won't address the mistake THEIR staff member made. Why am I having to pay for Shurgard's incompetent staff training? If I was told to put this in writing over the phone, I would have done it there and then! GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY! I am now waiting for 8 the week mark so I can take this to the ombudsman.

Easy experience
I booked a Shurgard unit on a weekend to support with moving house. I used the online process to do so, which was very easy to navigate.
As the office was closed, I was concerned about how long it would take for me to be able to access my unit, but within an hour I was informed that my unit was ready and I accessed it the same day.
The app made entering the building easy and the facilities were well kept and clean.
On the Monday, the staff at the unit called and emailed to follow up on my experience.
All in all, it has been a great experience and I would recommend, especially given the reasonable pricing.
