Simply Thieves!

I bought a canon 1300d dslr camera at end of June from simply electronics.net to photograph my new baby, I was constantly fobbed off, now they are in voluntary liquidation. I never received product or refund.
I have contacted companies house, this company is owned / directed by Mr Patrick Andrew Benson, British born sept 1969, he owns 3 limited companies currently and is in the habit of opening and closing them. Co. Addresses: simply electronics limited, 6 Durham Rd, London and 9. Upper crescent. Belfast BT7 1NT. .net. .com and another.

Constitutes fraud

After purchasing a mobile phone paying in full and informed goods would arrive in 3-5 working days. That was on 04/06/16. Numerous emails telephone calls fobbed off stating problem with backlog delivery etc. I finally asked for refund 13/07/16 Told 3-5 working days for refund and now 24/07/16 still waiting. This to me constitutes fraud and indeed theft. What infuriates me more is that they are still advertising the Motorola 3rd gen unlocked phone stating they have them in stock? Despicable .
I have contacted my credit card and they are looking into this. My advice is go elsewhere. It's not worth your time or stress

Very poor service

I ordered and paid for an iPad Pro (9.7) from this lot on 8/6 and cancelled it 10 days later when it was clear that they did not have it in stock as indicated on their website. They are being very slow with the return of my money. Their website states "Refund on Priority Rank
Apologies for the inconvenience. Your refund is on priority rank and is being treated with precedence. We will contact you once the refund is finalized.". This is crap - what does it even mean? With today's banking systems payments can be made instantaneously Simplyelectronics can only be holding on to my money for as long as possible. Wish I had read the reviews on here before ever getting involved!!

Samsung Galaxy s7 edge Dual sim it arrived within 11days

Hi, I've ordered my phone from here Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Dual Sim on the 10th of June 2016. after I ordered I read reviews and thought it would not arrive on time e.g they promised it will be shipped and delivered within 4-10 days. After reading the reviews I thought I can't wait 6 weeks according to reviewers that's how long it will take there saying so I went to Samsung store and purchased one the next day cos I can't wait 6 weeks to receive the phone that's too long... anyway lo behold the phone arrived today on the 22th june on the 11th day I'm soo glad it arrived and it did not take 6 weeks fortunately in my case wow I'm soo happy. Here I only paid £456.95 for Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and it is a genuine phone not a clone or copy but exact Samsung make and it comes with proper reciept that insurance cover will accept ...I will give my second s7 edge to my wife...

Pay by Visa or credit card never pay by Skrill

Awful

Firstly they state that everything is in stock and it will take 5 - 10 days to be delivered.
Simply electronics give you 10 reasons to buy with them, one of them states its because of their buying power as they buy in bulk makes them cheaper than anyone else, don't believe a word of it.
I ordered an expensive canon lens as they had it priced £200 less then anywhere else, it stated it was in stock and would take 5-10 days to deliver, I waited 4 weeks with no communication unless I asked for it and although they answered all of my emails they could never give me an expected delivery date. During this time their website continued to state the product was in stock and would be delivered between 5-10 working days. I finally cancelled my order it took an further 2 weeks to get my money back. Stay away from this site, the saying is correct, "if it's too good to be true"it is! use a trusted company pay the RRP save yourself the worry.

Can I give them NO stars?

Awful, don't use them! Said goods in stock, despite promises I waited three weeks before cancelling two weeks ago and despite more promises, am still waiting for my refund (they blame your bank)! Despicable behaviour.

Simply Crap

Been trying to resolve my issue with so very late delivery of goods yet received.
I see many people have the same issue misleading website information, automated responses but worst of all telephone customer 24 hour lines have been inactive for the past 48 hours.

now reported the website to trading standards very poor business would never use again.

How come this company is still selling? Do NOT use, you don't get your goods

So many bad reviews all say the same.
They say goods in stock = you don't get the item
You ring = automated messaged phone is down ( lies)
You email them = they email back with lies...
You still wait for item = it still doesn't arrive
You order for a birthday = birthday is ruined
You email again = lies with offer of a crap free-bee and asking you to wait
Ask for a delivery date = no commitment

Apple Watch 12 in stock = you can't get one!!!!!!

Totally don't understand how this company isn't shut down ...

Please steer clear!!

I was totally taken in by this company who were the cheapest to sell a Garmin GPS and have a friendly website. However, after they took my money, which was slightly more than the watch was advertised as, the watch was never delivered. It said it was out of stock for 3 weeks but when I searched again it said that they had 12 in stock! I tried calling but the phone has an automated response saying they're having problems with the line... So I complained on their form but had no response. So I cancelled the order and they replied apologising and offiering a free bee. I replied saying if they could post it by the end of the week I'd still have the order. They didn't reply so I cancelled. That was last Thursday, today is Tuesday and I still don't have the refund. Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company!! I ended up buying from Handtec and I got the watch the next day.

Keep clear

The payment for my nexus 6p was taken on the 6th April 2016. Simplyelectronics.kayako.com state dispatch should be between 2 to 8 days. I have sent 10 email and okay I have received 10 prompt standard pre-prepared emails. The emails basically said to be patient. 10 days ago my order was raised to critical and boxed in with a red backing. Customer services don't chase order they simply send out standard emails as above.
My problem now is do I cancel the order and then await eventual or possible refund or do I sit on it a bit longer.
Please take my advise and stay clear of this company. The possible money saved is lost in wasted time, frustration and ridicule.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !

While searching for a Smart Watch on the net (LG Urbane) i came across this site that sold the item i wanted for less than others. After more searching i could not find the Watch any cheaper anywhere else so i proceeded to buy from them. After reading it would take only a few business days for my order to be shipped i was more than happy. The time frame they promised to send out my order had passed with no email stating it had been sent so giving them an extra 7 days for them to Email me to say it was out for delivery i got in touch via replying to my original Email when i ordered the product. After days of no reply i decided to send another and my reply was the same as the 1st, in other words i was not going to get my order any time soon. All i received was excuse after excuse after excuse, I did not want Emails telling me '' we are sorry for the delay '' after seeing this excuse time after time i finally flipped and got angry threatening them with legal action only to find out the laws in the UK don't mean diddly squat in Hong Kong (yes.. this is a Hong Kong based company) although i typed in my Google search ''UK Companies''. After 5 weeks of waiting for that all important Email telling me my item was on its way (it never came) i Emailed them to say i wanted a full refund. It took a day to get a reply asking me to rethink and wait for my item but enough was enough so i insisted a full refund was the only way i could end this horrible experience of buying from them. I work for an online only company so i thought i knew the in's & outs of selling online but this company threw that out the window. Overall these idiots took advantage of my money and screwed me BIG TIME.
I could bore you with more info and paste all the Emails from them and my replies here but im sure you're bored already of my extended typing about a company that so many others have had bad experiences with.
If this review helps just 1 person i'll be happy but on a serious note !!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!!!

Worst service and customer service I have ever dealt with!!!!!

I am so incredibly unhappy and I should have gone with me gut instincts after initially reading this thread that these people are real chancers!!

I ordered a lens on 22/2, received first email 3/3 saying sorry about bla bla backlog bla bla and will be delivered next week. Today is 10/3 and receive same email verbatim! I called in clearly upset and the customer rep then, wait for it... says "I'm cancelling your order, goodbye" and puts the phone down before I can say anything!!!!!! Because I threatened to go to the consumer watchdog channel on TV. So guess what I'm going to do... go to the consumer watchdog channel! I am so pee'd off. I then called back and got through to a nice gentlemen who proceeded to tell me that my order should be with me on about 22/3... a whole month later then the date I ordered it!!! And that's only a SHOULD????!!!! Don't buy from these guys! They are dodgy as hell!!!!

From the tone of the reviews and my experiences I'm guessing at least some of the people who've left reviews here probably meant to leave them for simplyelectronics dot net rather than simplyelectronic dot com.

Don't even be tempted!

Ordered a phone from these guys, 2 to 5 days for delivery on the website. Once I bought I noticed this was changed to 4 to 10 days! Cheeky. After 10 days still nothing I chased them up with an email, 2 days later receive a reply stating that they were really busy and they still weren't sure when they could send the item. At this point I've tried to cut my losses and order a refund. Send them an email asking for a refund and they reply asking me to confirm my refund etc etc. Each reply takes 2 days.
Don't be tempted to go with these guys just to save a few quid.

The worst people I have spoke to

I have been waiting for a long time for them to email me back about my refund process but they never got back to me. So I call them up, and the lady on the phone was so rude when I asked a question and while I was asking a question the lady said "thank you for calling goodbye". All I wanted to know was the date of refund as it took so long to get the phone I wanted. Not worth it at all.

AVOID - the price is not worth it..(A lesson in the WORST online experience)

As my order wasn’t urgent and the item was shown as in stock I thought I would put up with the “bumpy ride” other had talked about. How STUPID!!

Everything about this company is a disaster. The say they have stock they don’t. They take you money as soon as they can and they ALWAYs fail to deliver. If Amazon and Argos are doing same day delivery Simply Electric are the opposite.

Their system for viewing your order didn’t work for me but when raising a Support Ticket they don’t even READ your query. They simply copy and paste the same answer.

They quote usually despatched within 2 to 3 days but their actual lead time is 10 working days for despatch and then they add another 5 for delivery. That is THREE working WEEKS.

They make their sales on price and then deliver weeks and week later. All communications are a disaster.

They also break the regulations regarding Credit Card as they take the money weeks before they are able to ship. They SHOULD hold the tranaction as Pending until they are able to fulfil the contract.

Honestly it is painful in the extreme. AVOID!!

PS; Thei "Copy and Paste" stndard responses are insulting. Just read them... I have a whole colection of "sincerel applogies" but STILL no shipment date.
