Brilliant service and cover

The process was so easy to follow that it was completed in less than 5 minutes.
Not only did SimplyExcess come up as the cheapest and most comprehensive, they also followed up with a particularly useful email to help us before, during and after the trip and car hire.
Well done SimplyExcess and keep up the great work!

Small print doesn’t cover van hire

Edit: Simply excess have refunded me and they have now added a FAQ page on their home page stating it doesn’t cover van hire. Credit where credit is due. Upped to 3 stars.

Small print doesn’t cover van hire.

Took out this excess cover for a small combi van I was hiring last week. Mid hire I decided to check out the small print of the policy and it turns out it doesn’t cover vans (even a car based van). Wasn’t made clear when purchasing and wasted money.

definitely check the small print before buying. Buyer beware.

we are sorry to hear that the policy did not meet your requirements. Our policies explicitly cover car rentals, and our coverage is more extensive than our competitors, but, in future, we will ensure that it is made clear that vans (of any type) are not covered by our policies.
In view of your erroneous purchase, we have retrospectively cancelled your policy and refunded your £4.49 payment.
