I will be posting a review for this company, Sitebuilber, regarding a bad experience of mine dealing with this company. I received an email from them that in 48 hours, they will be responding to my request. Hence, I will post my review then.
bad web developer
bad web developer. They are charging business card for 2x over and for old sites they should not be. Cant get a hold of anyone and its crazy for what I'm dealing with. Also cant transfer to get away as no one is communicating. Its a ghost town. Web.com cant even help as they said they just help them with seo. STAY AWAY BAD COMPANY
Very poor experience
They raise thier prices without warning. They tell you that your plan will renew in 14 days and ... that to prevent uninterrupted servce, they will bill your card 14 days in advance. So you basically have less than a day to respond if you don't want to renew. The user interface makes it impossible to know if you have cancelled auto-renew. These guys are basically crooks.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I would never recommend that you use them. They steel from customers who's accounts have been closed for years. Fraud company.
SCAM & SHAM Website Host
Sitebuilder.com is operated by web.com which is operated by Newfold Digital in Jacksonville, Fl.
They host and facilitate cyber crime websites created by hackers to attempt to defraud and steal personal and financial information from their victims. How do I know this? Because a phishing site that has stolen copyrighted intellectual property from my business has been operating now for over a week, even after several cease & desist DCMA complaints and letters.
There is one contact phone # for abuse complaints that goes directly to an empty voicemail. I am now in the process of filing complaints on this horrid company with ICANN, IC3, FTC and FBI.

They promised me in april of 2023 that they would have me up and running in 2 weeks now they won't take my calls unbelievable terrible and so many more negative terms
SiteBuilder.com is a garbage company…
SiteBuilder.com is a garbage company with horrific policies. In the past 2 years their fees have gone from $200 to $500 without any additional features or support. They illegally charged my card after I cancelled last year. Their invoice they send says the date of purchase is the 30th but that they bill 15 days prior. This was never in anything you sign, just a policy they tack on to your “auto renewal” that you also never sign for.
Do not ever trust this company. I have talked to my lawyer and we have decided to take this to the attorney general. Don’t fall for their trap.
Unauthorized billing is a speciality with Sitebuilder
Ya, they help themselves to your PayPal account or credit card without consultation. They cut off my Website a month early for no apparent reason.
The Chat people can help with technical stuff, but billing is NOT reachable and uninterested!
Their automatic billing is very frustrating!
Started off fine as I never really got…
Started off fine as I never really got in touch with them and it was a good initial price, then prices went up 200% every year, they didn't cancel, wouldn't reply to emails, cancelled access to the domain I used and I had paid for, and then they re-sold the domain during my contract.
Avoid!!!!
Sitebuilder - Two THUMBS DOWN
I only give a 2 because I've used them for some years without having any expectations.
When it comes to cancellation THEY ARE DISMAL.
Supposedly cancelled some time ago. Renewal notice had a unexpected huge amount to be due, so I called and cancelled. Next day (today) received a 2nd renewal notice for $22.00.
This behavior by them prompted me to research about how others feel about Sitebuilder. WOW!
I see I'm in good company. LOL
Sitebuilder Scammers
Expired debit card date used to continue drawing funds even after no service provided as domain name/website expired. No authority provided to debit credit card after expiry date from 3/220. Nearly $500 lost and now being advised that it won't be refunded. Scammers, Webpage does not allow you to remove payment details, only to replace. Unable to disable payments or cancel online via my log in portal. These people are criminals... don't deal with them
I can't even with these people any…
I can't even with these people any more. They used to be good now they are more than awful.
Don’t use these people
Don’t use these people. They must have got my details when I used iPage or perhaps they rebranded. Who cares. Point is I stopped using them 5 years ago (2017/18) and out of the blue they send me an email saying my 24 month Pro plan will be renewed. So I logon to their site and look at my account details and sure enough the plan is going to renew. STRANGE. I look at my credit cards details and it lists a card that expired in 2019. I check my account and it lists I last renewed my plan in 2020. I’m curious now I check my credit card payments and there are none around the time of this phantom renewal. So how did it renew if my credit card details had expired? Something very peculiar going on, my advice stay well clear of them.
Thank god they don’t have my credit card details!
used to be good
Not sure why this sites ratings are so low. Ive used site builder since 2019, never had issues. They recently partnered with web.com and made everything complicated. Completely ruined a good service.
Prior to partnering with web.com I would have gave sitebuilder a 5, customer service was great easy access and very user friendly. Now its a solid 1. Horrible!
Company is a scam. Unqualified
If you have a problem you are tossed around to 20 different people who have no idea what they are doing. They just read a script. If you email them they don’t read the email, they email you a script that has nothing to do with your issues. You aren’t allow to talk to IT support. They messed up my website and couldn’t fix. I have canceled my account and canceled my domain name over a year ago and they still try to charge me. I have emailed 10 different people and all I get is a script. I have told them if they don’t stop I will be contacting an attorney. I have never talked with a group of more ignorant, unprofessional people in my life. All they are interested in is getting more money and leaving you high and dry. They do not have qualified people to do their job. If you want customer support that you are allowed to work with GO SOMEWHERE ELSE you will NOT get it here. Over a year and I am still fighting these people.
You can't cancel a subscription
You can't cancel a subscription with them. Sitebuilders portal allows you to navigate to "Services" in your account and cancel the active service you no longer need. However, as soon as you click "cancel", it says you are in your renewal window and must contact support. I have tried cancelling every day of the month, and the same notification appears; therefore, you are not unable to cancel your service manually, and the billing remains. Worse yet, no customer support responds to your request. They are non-existent. Once you subscribe for a monthly service at Sitebuilder, you are stuck until you go to your bank to cancel your card and have them re-issue a new one. Sitebuilder will not lose a paid subscription and basically will not allow you to cancel your service. Absolutely disgusting. Do not use this company.
I thought this was a scam its not
I thought this was a scam its not - my 24 month renewal has gone up from £240 to £538 ! For very little service. It's time to go elsewhere.
Scammers
Scammers, I cancelled my renewal 5 yersa ago, bu they kept charging my credit card. Can't believe anything like this can be happening. Should have read reviews
