It is the absolute, far and above, by a mile, without a doubt, beyond all reasonable doubt, with 100% certainty, incontestably the worst consumer service i have ever had the misfortune to cross path

The following is the email I sent in response to their customer service spam: (warning, if you are uncomfortable with opinionated people you shouldnt read this)

Let me begin this email by saying the following: you are the absolute, far and above, by a mile, without a doubt, beyond all reasonable doubt, with 100% certainty, incontestably the worst consumer service i have ever had the misfortune to cross paths with.

It all began with my lovely little experience of purchasing my domain for 150 dollars then being redirected to an editor which wanted me to buy my domain again! Extortion much!

Then the real fun started the second day. 2 AM I get an email from some obscure arab name talking about website design and advertisement. Then another at 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, 3:00, etc. all from different people. You sold my information to spam artists. Great work, you really care about your customers! Really nice people you are!

But wait, the fun doesn't stop there, oh no it most certainly does not. Every hour and on the half 24/7 for two weeks I received calls each time from different phone numbers with my local area code all redirected to Indian call centers selling website design. *angry sigh*.... *angry sigh*.....They sold my phone number! Good show guys! Top notch job! That will certainly make people like you.

Oh you thought I was done, no no. You sold my address. This one is where you crossed the line. I got mail, and mail, and mail, and mail all for website design. Guys, thats a no no, and thats when I reported you to the FBI internet crime database.

To sum this up, you are awful people. I don't care if it is just your job to do this or whatever your bull s#%+ excuse is. If you sleep at night doing this, you are an awful person, and beyond that, this company is immoral, shady, greedy, illegal, and a literal incarnation of the devil.

With deep disdain

Wish I could give -10. I have been trying to call on their toll free number and it's giving me the message that ,number is not reachable from your area and sometimes it says that "the number you are calling is not in servive".
Poor service. Please avoid dealing with them.

Wow....that is all I can say. Trust me when I say run, run fast in the opposite direction. I wish I had read all the bad reviews before I wasted days on setting up our website.

Utterly focussed on their own money-grabbing business model and to hell with the customer!

12 different emails from 10 different 'customer service' employees...no definitive answers to my questions...email conversations between 2 and 3 in the morning. Billing and domain names handled with complete incompetence. Hidden charges re transfer of domain name.(they'll keep your name and files). They take NO responsibility for their shabby and unprofessional attitude.
A real lemon of a company and not to be trusted.

Messed up domain registration and lost …

Messed up domain registration and lost my domain!
I spent an hour trying to reserve a domain and arrange web hosting. Sitebuilder managed to mess up the domain registration and told me that the domain was no longer available it had coincidentally had been reserved by someone else using Sitebuilder servers at exactly the same time. In fact they messed up.
I cancelled my order and was able to reserve the domain in minutes from a competitor.
Thanks for wasting my time Sitebuilder.com

They were giving to refund me my money …

They were giving to refund me my money because of personal hardships. My girlfriend was hit by a car.
Anyway, I contacted them when I realized that it never happened. I did it on a chat on their website.
Not only was the rep who helped me very robotic and lacking empathy but just lacking a customer service attitude in general.
When I asked if his supervisor could call me, they asked for my information, supposedly to verify. I provided it, expecting that a supervisor would be the next step.
Instead, the agent then told me that that they would be cancelling my account effective immediately and that logs and access to the chats and website would be denied.
I asked very nicely that he not cancel it, instead give me a supervisor, to which he told me to have a nice day and closed the conversation.
I've never been treated like that ever. I work in the same type of customer service for a different company and would (rightfully) lose my job if I ever treated somebody like that.

THE WORST. Anyone deserves more respect than they give their longterm customers.

I have NEVER worked with a more inconsiderate, rude, & unprofessional company. I had a website/ecommerce store through sitebuilder for over a year & a half, solely because I kept giving them chances.
There were more than 4 different months that they locked me out of my website backend, shut down my site, & wouldn't respond to my emails EVEN THOUGH MY PAYMENT STATUS WAS UP TO DATE.
Once they finally replied days later (which is days of me losing business), all they had to say was that they weren't sure why that happened, and they were unable to give me any kind of credit to repay me for the loss of business and/or days that were fully paid for yet unusable.
NOT ONLY do they overcharge an INSANE amount for each upgrade, but they often double charge your account every month (they will refund it 3-4 days later, but without any apology or notice of the double charge.)

I have NEVER gone out of my way to write a bad review on a service, product, or anything else that I haven't liked.. so for this to be my first negative review written on anything EVER, is a huge indicator of just how disrespectful this company is.

Amazing

I tired 3 different hosting platforms and I had an issue with customer service each time. I started using SiteBuilder as my 4th and wasn't really looking forward to it because they seemed to be the lower end. But I was very wrong, any time I had an issue, I sent them an email and got an answer within 24 hours. Not all answers were perfect, I found I needed to send a conversation back and forth to really get the question totally answered, but the staff was so helpful and willing to find the answer I needed. Even when I made a mistake and didn't know what I had done, they explained it all and helped me through. I'm excited about my website and the tools they offer. I would recommend SiteBuilder, for the user friendly interface and the amazing customer service. I'm very happy with every interaction i've had with them.

Useless copmany

I have used Sitebuilder for over a year now and do not have anything good to say in my review at all.
My email address is linked to my website which is hosted Sitebuilder. Problem is that my email account keeps getting deleted. It can be days before I have noticed and have already lost a big contract with a local council worth a lot of money and god only knows what else. Potentially thousands of pounds worth of work.
Everytime I contact SItebuilder to find out why this keeps happening and to try and get it resolved, it takes a further 48hrs to get my email up and running again and no one ever gets back to me regarding a complaint.
It's really bad that you pay a company to increase sales to your company using a website and email but in turn ends up costing you money in lost revenue because they cannot get their act together with the email server.

Do your research before giving your hard earned cash to this company would be my only advise.

Worst experience ever!!!!!!

If I can give zero star, I would. They will secretly take money out of your bank, so, stay away from Sitebuilder!!! The customer service is rude, the money was never refunded to my account, the battle is still going on, and I am very tired. Please, please find someone else! You don't deserve these sh!ts!!!

DO NOT USE

My sitebuilder domain and professional email account expired even though I timely paid my renewal fee. I have contacted sitebuilder three times to have this problem fixed, and it still has not been fixed. Several of my professional contacts have called me wondering why emails are coming back as undeliverable- even worse than that, the emails come back indicating that the server expired! Furthermore, it is impossible for me to do my job without access to email. I am seriously concerned about the longterm consequences that sitebuilder's error will have on my business. It is incomprehensible to me that they refuse to fix their error. DO NOT USE SITEBUILDER FOR YOUR PROFESSIONAL WEBISTE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Do not use this company

They will make a offer to you that they will not honor. They will overcharge your credit card on purpose by design. When you call their customer service department in India - they will tell you that you signed up for a different kind of account not the one they offered you. They just plain outright lie and overcharge. My first experience with them on my first account they offered a deal of $1 a month for the first year. I took that deal and then they charged my account the following month $9.98 - I resolved that problem. My next transaction with them they offered me two deals $3.99 a month with an annual payment of 47.88 or a monthly deal of 4.99 a month for the first year. I took the $4.99 a month deal as to the fact that I was not sure if I was going to keep the website or not. They then charged me $4.99, plus $25. - I had to call them up and have them remove the extra charges. I have now noticed that they are charging my account $9.98 a month and not the $4.99 that I signed up for. I contacted them and they just lied and said they never had a 4.99 offer. Do not walk from this company RUN.

Steer clear

Just found out by accident that they have given my domain name to someone else! Two years I had that domain it's on all my business cards flyers, clothing, communications with clients. I go through to customer support who raise a ticket! I get a reply saying sorry for the inconvenience but that domain belongs to someone else, well it didn't because I wouldnt spend thousands on merchandise spend all that time building up my website basicly for nothing and now it seems at my cost!

RIPPED OFF!!

Well, after reading these reviews I don't feel alone now, cancelled my website on April 22, 2016! it is now Feb 09, 2017 and it still isn't cancelled, being bounced from one person to another all which never reply to my emails. Call them and they say it is being worked on through email and I have to respond to the emails they send for it to be cancelled.....pretty darned hard when they don't reply!! Still billing my credit card for $9.98 every month faithfully.......I want my money back and nothing to do with sitebuilder ever again.
Do not use these guys. It is horrid!!

They don't understand what 'cancel' means.

Cancelling with this company is horrible. I first wanted to cancel 6 mths ago and they gave me a prorated refund. But instead of cancelling, they actually downgraded me to a monthly plan which costs more! I finally found out they were secretly billing me. Now I'm trying to get the full refund, which they are sneakily trying to get out off by bouncing me from person to person, email to email. I still haven't received my refund. What a nightmare.

Update: After 67, yes SIXTY FREAKIN SEVEN, emails back and forth, I finally got all my money back. And would you believe a Rita Hayworth replied to one of them. Just keep pestering them guys. They can't close the ticket if you do.
