Booked an intermediate SUV (IFMR, which says Sportage or similar) for 6 days to travel abroad with Diesel option and got a petrol minivan instead. Was told by the employer this was an upgrade (lol!) because the car I booked was not available so they kindly made this “””upgrade”””. Tried to make the person to understand going from a Sportage to a C4 was not an upgrade but no chance. The best I could take was to either cancel my vacations or get a tank for free. The explanation was the C4 when I booked was more expensive (I cannot confirm since I wouldn’t imagine I would need screenshots but anyway), it’s plausible since people tend to book 7-seats car more but I don’t care, upgrade is not moving the customer category to another just because one is more expensive. It’s like you book a porsche with them but they give you a 80-seat bus because “it’s more expensive so it’s an upgrade, take it”. So frustrating to think I replaced my good and old Avis for this terrible experience (first and last at least). 2 star is because at least the car was fairly new.
I had made an error in my booking, and the team went out of their way to be helpful.

Hereby I'm leaving a Five Star Review for my 1 week long car rental experience. When arriving to the Airport, I got a warm welcome by the staff and also got a really nice Peugeot 3008 without asking for an SUV. You know I'm a tall guy, so the decision was just perfect :)
The car itself is really economical, only had to fill half of the tank back in it.
When finished with my business trip, I easily got to the car drop area where I'd park my car.
So all was great, thank you :)
I rented vehicle in Oct-22 for more than a week period. I have been struggling a lot on return of my security deposit amount. I have been charged twice on 2 different cards during the pickup. The person told me that the transaction is declined on provided card hence he needs to swap other card. I got to know once I get back to my home that I have been charges twice for security deposit. Since more than 6 weeks I am following up with CPH airport team but my amount is not returned yet. Their response is disappointing, I have dropped multiple emails but getting a response is nightmare. Also, I have been charged again for some amount on my credit card after 6 weeks (other than invoice value). I am following on that and still not able to know why the additional amount is charged. No details shared as of yet. I am panic now!
Although Sixt is generally a notorious firm and best avoided, I had a decent experience with Sixt Denmark. There was no upselling at the counter during pickup, whether that was because I had already purchased zero excess protection online, I don't know, but I was in terror walking in to the branch and came out unscathed. Despite returning the vehicle on time, I was charged a late return fee, and they did not proactively send me the invoice. Since I had yet finished my holidays I did not have the time to reconcile my credit card statements and charges, but when I did I noticed that I was charged about 320 kruna more, and when I called them to find out they said this is because I had returned it late! Thankfully, I had retained the voucher received when the car is returned to the parking lot, and I told them on the call that I have proof that I returned it to them on time, to which they were very responsive and helpful and corrected the invoice(which till now was only present in their internal system, and not with me) and sent me the final invoice with correct details, and finally refunded me the excess amount charged. Despite this positive experience, I will generally NEVER EVER RECOMMEND Sixt, but if you must, SIXT DENMARK is reliable and as an exception, NOT going to scam you (I must add that the very next day, during my pickup of a Sixt vehicle in Zagreb, Croatia, I was scammed immediately and coercively sold random packages and a payment of 150 euros that I never agreed to)

A few years ago Sixt charged me for damage to a car which I rented at Billund Airport for a few days. Out of the blue and many months after the car was returned I received a bill of 450 euro’s due to ‘scratches’. Today I will do what they did to me a few years ago: surprise them. The bill has been settled long time ago, but after seeing a sixt ad, I realized I never publicly reviewed them. Now is the time. Terrible company, I can’t stress this enough. Not only in Billund. At pick up, no one walked with me to check the car. I did a quick check, but as it was dark I couldn’t see much. The day after I had a funeral, so checking again by daylight wasn’t my priority. After use (I barely used the car) I handed over the keys at the desk. Weirdly enough (and again) no one walked back to check for possible damage. Since I decided it was unnecessary to insure the car for just a weekend, I suddenly became suspicious upon returning the car. Why didn’t they check for scratches either time?Months later I got a letter saying that I damaged the car. There was no proof whatsoever that it was me or the previous driver. I was an easy target since it was just me, no checks before or after, no insurance, no documentation. Moreover, the 2/3 scratches on the pictures looked incredibly small, that I wonder what they use to repair scratches with for €450 euro, liquid gold? I learned my lesson the hard way to always add insurance and always demand a check with an employee, but like they have accused me to damage the car, I accuse them in a similar way. This company and branch is a major disappointment. Will never ever use Sixt again and certainly not the one in Billund. Tip for other drivers: never accept a white car, apparently it damages easily.
Terrible case.
After 8 months of leasing my contract was finished and I returned the car.
I entered the office in Vesterbro and they said just to leave the car in basement (and to drop the keys in box for keys).
I asked if they want to check the car first - they said no, everything is contactless.
Okay. I've done everything like they said. The car was in good shape.
After few months!!!! I received a letter with 25000!!!! dkk invoice for "scratches" on the car, which I even didn't saw!
Sixt! Are you serious?
I have paid for insurance every single month (self risk up to 5000dkk).
And you just invoice me with 25000dkk for unknown scratches!!! It even never been involved in accident or other collisions !! For what you are sending me invoice?! Where is the report which will prove that it is my fault?! It is 25000dkk , it is not even 5000dkk which is my maximum risk according the contract!!! But even for 5000 dkk you must prove that there is my fault! I spoke with "representers/specialists" of the Sixt by phone few times and every time they "promised" me to escalate the case to higher management level, as they cannot give me suficient answers on my questions. But months are going and still there is no proved explanations. There is nothing at all!! They just want me to pay 25000 dkk!
They don't even answering to my letters where I ask to explain where in the contract is stated (legalized) such kind of rubbery from the world famous Sixt!! They just ignore my mails and keep sending me invoice + penalty. What kind of company they are ? They behave like small garage company with no idea of business rules!!
It is terrible!! Terrible!! Terrible!!!!

I was told no such premium station wagons were ever available, despite that you can go online and rent one today... Will never rent from Sixt again.

Very friendly staff at Billund and excellent quality brand new vehicle. Car was a bit hard to find because car park is quite big and you have to look for it yourself, but otherwise very smooth experience and very courteous and helpful staff.
