After being booked onto the Level 2 Award in Door Supervision with Skills For Jobs by the management at work I really didn't know what to expect.

I spoke with Rob a few times prior to the course to check details and sort out elearning to be sent to my email address and not the work email address so I could do it at home. A painless process and Rob did it instantly.

When I met Allan on the first morning of the course he put me at ease and went through the weeks schedule with me.

He then went through it again for everyone else just to make sure we knew what to expect. I was very fortunate to also find myself on a course with 9 of the friendliest, approachable people I've ever met - and we had a healthy mix of males and females too. Which was refreshing.

Skills for Jobs did the EFAW certification via elearning modules, face to face theory and a practical assessment that was completed before we began the DS course.

Running Monday to Saturday you would think the days would drag but that certainly wasn't the case.

The right mix of theory and practical to keep everyone engaged and two of the best trainers I've ever met really made the week fly by.

When Rob arrived on Friday we were all apprehensive because we'd never met him before and he was taking us through the practical physical intervention skills and assessments. We didn't need to be.

He knew who we all were even after never meeting us, and he slipped right into the place Allan had left like a neat jigsaw puzzle.

Honestly. If you're looking for a new career path in the private security industry or looking to upskill then I highly recommend Skills for Jobs.

Skills for jobs is a brilliant training company for the security sector , bob and Alan are great guys and very approachable if you have and questions, they talk you through everything and if you have learning disabilities then they are extra helpful . I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking to get into security . Thank you bob and Alan for all your help and advise over the years of me doing security. Keep up the good work.

A top draw course, both Alan Price and Rob Knowles went above and beyond to ensure the course was delivered to an exceptionally high standard. Both these individuals have a vast amount of experience in the security sector and are only too happy to impart their knowledge, backing it up with practical examples gained on the 'front line'.
They were both very supportive and patient in the delivery of the training.
I recommend without hesitation this company.

This is the course to take if you want to get your licence because alan and rob know what they are talking about if you listen to them you will pass your exams and get your licence

Great experience with skills for Jobs from day 1. They were ao supportive and Rob was great at communicating every single bit of information throughout. Allan was also helpful throughout the course itself and really cared about each individual and making sure we understood everything. Even when I failed an exam due to my own lack of at home revision, the team at Skills for Jobs ensured I was given every resource possible to pass.

Where do I start. From the get go, Rob and Allan were so helpful throughout the course and I cannot recommend it enough if you are interested in pursuing security as a career. Rob is such a switched on guy and can support you in anyway possible. Allan is by far one of the most knowledgeable people Iknow when it comes to learning the principles around the Security industry and the overall training regime which was produced.Credit to them both

Been in the Security industry 15 years and over the years have come across many training providers. Skills for jobs Ltd definitely by far the best by miles. Rob and his team provide professionally run courses his trainers our extremely knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to any security company or individuals looking for anything Sia related

I recommend fo anyone wanting to start a career in security/ door supervisor as it really is the highest course to take in the field. You will grow your knowledge.
Great people, Allan is an amazing tutor, welcoming and all friendly.

This course is amazing full on information like brutal amount of information to take in 6 days but you never forget anything Allan price had gone though or explained witch then taking the test was a breeze.

I will be gladly be going back for more courses
