Cheap rip off company. Terrible service. Taking the time to review because this the second issue with this delivery service. We need delivery so it’s important to us they are honest, fair and good service. We pay for that. This is not the first time we had a problem. I reported immediately the delivery hadn’t arrived it was claimed they have no record of that. Unbelievable. I had the order number. Any other delivery service beats this.
Sub-par food delivery service. Don't bother using them.
Some of these drivers should seriously consider another line of work. Like public transit. Ordered food several times with this service and have experienced nothing but drivers that seems to be stuck for several minutes doing who- knows-what or driving around in search of your address. Holy crap! The customer is paying you far above what the food they are ordering actually costs. Everything is service fees to the point where the cost of the food is practically half of the total the customer pays! The rest is service fees! Why should one continue to order from these food delivery services when they clearly are not operating FOR the consumer? Something to think about before you consider using these services.

FOURTH AND LAST TIME.
This is everything that was wrong with my last order:
1. Courier delivered it to the wrong door.
2. After starting a chat with customer support he kept saying that my order was delivered even though I explained to him that my door is white and you can clearly see where they delivered it in the picture it's BLUE.
3.They basically refunded me my order back without the TIP ! EVEN THOUGH THEY DELIVERED IT TO THE WRONG LOCATION AND I NEVER GOT TO SEE IT!
4.They're helping themselves and not you, how can you wait so long for your order and then through all these chats and they give you a partial amount of your money back!?Uninstalled and will never use again.

NEVER again! I live on the 5th floor of an apartment building and just had surgery. I left instructions for the Delivery to be placed at my apartment door and gave instructions for the driver. The idiot left my food at the front lobby enterance of the apartment building, while I'm waiting for Delivery here?! I contacted Skip The Dishes right away as they charged my card $40.00 with the service charge, taxes, and Driver tip. Someone, somewhere has my food! Skip The Dishes said they can only apply $5.00 to my account?! Don't think so CLOWNS!

My order was wrong, called the restaurant and they said Skip would refund me and they would not!!! No reason why just no. I asked for no EGGS and there was egg in my food. I also told Skip that if I had an allergy to EGGS this would be a totally different conversation.... This is my first time using Skip and would never use again!!!!

Didn't follow the online order. Didn't receive the refund neither from the BP nor from the "Skipthedish" . Crazy rules of both parties and poor client service.Very non cooperative online support of Skipthedish. Cannot take honest reviews or rating of the orders. Surprised why didn't they refund for a food that was $17.49 before taxes. Insane.......spoiled my daughter's celebration dinner.
skipmenu prices higher then restaurant menu prices
price on a restaurant menu is 20%-30% lower than the price on skip menu, example hamburger restaurant menu order online is $14.99 same burger on skip menu s $18.43 a $2.00 service charge plus .49 delivery so burg is $20.92. Then tip delivery. be nice if this issue was disclosed up front and in chat was told that the surcharge is added by the participting restaurants.
Worst food delivery/pickup app ever
"SkipTheDishes" Canada, which is owned by "takeaway.com", A Netherlands-based company IS THE WORST FOOD DELIVERY APP EVER AND HERES WHY:
1) Mandatory security verification upon checkout. EVERY TIME YOU wanna place an order, it then ANNOYINGLY PROMPTS YOU to re-enter a security code for your purchases, regardless if its a debit card or not. SKIP NEEDS TO FIX THIS "security feature" CAUSE BOTH DOORDASH and UBEREATS DONT ASK FOR THIS ANNOYING THING everytime you checkout
2) Horrible customer service. Their agents (probably outsourced to India judging by the reps names): DONT KNOW WHAT THEY DOING AND LIE TO YOUR FACE ALL THE TIME.
3) USELESS DIGITAL GIFT CARD CHECKOUT SYSTEM 😡😡. When you try to purchase they gift cards at checkout, THEIR CHECKOUT SYSTEM first approves of the transaction but then I get an EMAIL LATER SAYING IT "COULDNT PROCESS" and I cant get my gift card WHILST THEY DIDNT REFUND MY MONEY 😡😡😡.
If this keeps up, Skipthedishes Canada will cease to exist

Placed an Order. Skip Courier drove to my house and dropped off a Bag that wasn't my order. I ordered Chicken and Fries and they left a bag that was Coffee. I didn't order that. I reached out to the most Incompetent Chat Support that Skip has to offer. One after another they'll paste a Generic reply that refuses a Refund. Spend you're money on a different app, SkipTheDishes operation is crook run.
Irresponsible, incompetent, dishonest
Irresponsible, incompetent, dishonest. When you place an order and give them your credit card details they take the order and charge your card. They subsequently cancel the order without providing any notice or explanation. Their chat department deliberately closes your attempts to contact them so they can avoid explaining why they cancelled the order you paid for and have been waiting for. You have to subsequently check your credit card account regularly for unauthorized charges.

Disgraceful staff, disgraceful service, avoid !!
Had ordered food today and the driver delivered to the wrong address at a neighbour behind our house. I walked over to collect the food. The home owner was very kind and said he informed driver it's the wrong address. Then he mentioned to me he's never used Skipthedishes or online delivery services... so how did they get his address, who knows!
So, we decided to chat to skipthedishes about the food we paid for. Their agent told us we entered wrong address. But we have an account and the address is picked up form the profile we create which in past has been working.
We also noticed our address was given as a separate line under the wrong address line in their delivery order so something is wrong with their system on how they add address.
Yet, the agent was rude and abrupt enough to insist their system is ok - when we can clearly see our address line below the wrong one in delivery note. He (Jay K) could not bother to confirm the right address and inform the driver to deliver and rectify the whole situation. Instead, he just decides to give a 50% refund and exit the chat!
So, we lose 50% of our money, we don't get the food, while facing an arrogant agent who refuses to listen or use his intelligence to understand that an already existing profile/account automatically picks up the address.
This company should be sued to oblivion! They are an absolute sham and should not be allowed to continue - disgraceful!
Tip for consumers:
Avoid this company at all costs !! Disgraceful and unhelpful staff and bad systems and no ability or care to help resolve problems for customers.

I'm stopping using skip for good now until something is changed drastically with their accountability. Just in last 3 of my orders 2 of them were never delivered and on the app it showed delivered and the one order that came there was a missing item. Worst of all this is Skip doesn't take any accountability for their drivers. Just says "we understand your inconvenience and we apologize. We will be happy to refund".
They must be so inhuman to understand that they just ruined somebody's dinner, they left little kids crying and disappointed.

The driver got his 5$ tip but he kept 1 bag… I contacted the wendys restaurant but they cannot send it to us, we have to drive there, order a small item so that we can give me the chili that goes with the salad. My bad, I revisited the scene of the crime....occasionally I used the service since my last review. I cannot write about the same experience cause I went back for more. Tried the company again, in a pinch, and to use up some points etc. Ma___ on the chatline was similar to the first experience, I missed the call from the driver as duty called and heard the ring just as the call ended. I called the number on my phone log within minutes to get a message that the communication to the driver was disconnected and to go to chat. Mahir told me that the food was left downstairs in a public space. I dislike the idea of that so much. Also that my instructions and address were confusing to the driver, allowing no access, and that is why it was left. The conversation from the other side, obviously scripted, kept repeating that it was the address as entered that was the problem and that the driver took a photo to confirm. Now, half the time the order does go fine and the driver drops off the food at the requested spot, so the address is understandable to at least half of the drivers enlisted, but in this case, opposite to Mahir's rendition, the driver had to use the enterphone to call upstairs so they understood enough to get into the building and call upstairs. As an extension to my cell, the enterphone collects messages so if it was going to be dropped somewhere that message could be left. Nope it was just left. If you dont know what you are talking about then don't provide BS to back up that you do. To basically not be able to remedy the missed call or calls within such a short window of time is really ridiculous. The observation about how the support works at this company has been mentioned before. I did go rescue my food and brought it upstairs. When I opened the food all the extra toppings ordered and paid for, were missing. Back on the chatline again. This one kills me. Directly I mentioned what was missing. Su________ took over, and after reviewing, told me that because they had refunded so much in the past they were not going to refund the amount of what was missing. Because they had screwed up previously and tried to make good on it, they count this as the debt paid and they don't have to make good any future issues. That is just beyond reason. Sa____ came online but didn't say a word, and in the end Mar____ to fix the problem. too late. and time to eat.....it is very evident that this platform used to connect the seller and the customer is becoming more of the norm. We see it frequently and spend stupid amounts of time chasing our queries. In the present perhaps the savings to the seller make sense but at what cost down the road? What seems possible is that the connection between the seller and the customer will disappear, loyalties will diminish and the personal touch wiped out. Like others I'm sure, I have developed very negative opinions of some sellers, to which the seller will never address. To approach the seller in a lot of cases has become a daunting process. I believed at one time that a history between the seller and the customer would be how that relationship would be accessed. Now? That a seller better be a rockstar in the immediate transaction, as their survival will depend solely on the last experience. Although many purchase experiences are pretty flat, this last one takes the prize, and not in a good way.
No refund for missing item
The item was missing from my order #510794385, but the support team said that they can't give me a refund because I already requested too many refunds through SkipTheDishes. But it actually was my FIRST order on the platform.
