The worst company …period.
If I could give no stars I would 1 star is way too good. Screen Keeps freezing every 5 mins while watching live sports, sometimes it takes less than a minute. When you ring Sky they tell you your internet isn’t any good - we have Skys own super fast internet! They tell you you have too many devices, so we have turned everything else off on the house and it still keeps freezing. Sky is a con merchant dressed in sheep’s clothing, not worth paying £5 per month let alone £5 a day. Stay clear, you have been warned!
Absolute garbage
Absolute garbage. Screen constantly goes black and "waiting for your program to load" prompt comes up. This is despite having a 500Mb connection. It seems to happen more often on live TV events which are popular.
Just watched the first 20 mins of Socceraid and it went off 4 times. switched to Freeview hasn't gone off since, so it's a Sky problem. It doesn't just happen on TV programs it happens during on demand content such as Netflix & Discovery+. Also the Discovery+ included in Skystream is a con, only content thats been shown on the Discovery channels is available unless you pay extra. Not a patch on Virgin which is were I'm going back to when this pile of shit contract is up.
WORST PRODUCT EVER
Cannot add anything new to what is already listed on the hundreds of negative reviews below.
Tried Sky Stream for three days and reverted back to Q.
Quite possibly the worst product in any category I have ever purchased .
Avoid at all costs
Do not get Sky Stream or Glass..!
Moved into a new house and decided not to install satellite dishes.
Had Ethernet hard wired to both TV points in the house so the connection is stable (900mbps fibre) but both pucks constantly disconnect, lose signal, lip sync is always out and if you try to use the “skip ads” or “continue watching” features the puck will either crash or the programme will restart for no reason at all.
I cannot believe more isn’t being made out of how bad the service is and Sky isn’t interested in helping, blames the internet connection or anything else.
Decided to not continue with the contract when it expires and get two Apple TV’s instead!
Not nearly as good as sky q
Not nearly as good as sky q. You can't record or watch back. As soon as contract is up we'll be saying goodbye to sky
Watching Rolland Garros TNT sports…
Watching Rolland Garros TNT sports final set and off it goes . Happened earlier round as well. Not a rare experience happens often with TNT Sports in football as well. 6 months of a 18 month contract to go. Advice to anyone don’t consider streaming service.
Stream stream not fit for purpose
We had to change from sky stream to sky Q as sky stream is one of the worst products ive seen was like been back in the 90s with itv digital.
Adverts kept looping, programms just randomly go back to the start. Ended up not been able to watch sky stream as the product was that bad.
The app sky Go just doesn't work.
The app sky Go just doesn't work.
For a company this size with huge resources this is pathetic.
The customer service is very hard to ring you have to go through about 5 menus and bots to ring them then hold for 30mins they charge you per minute for being on hold. I HAVE BEEN DOUBLE BILLED OFF MY CARD UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVOIR FROM ANY COMPANY ANYWHERE. I HAVE THEN BEEN CHARGED FOR THE PHONE CALL TO SORT IT OUT WHICH TOOK AN HOUR WHILE SKY WERE BILLING ME MY THE MINUTE FOR THE PHONE CALL. THANT A CON BY ANYBODIES STANDERD. A CON . A STRAIGHT FORWARD CON.
I STILL HAVE NOT REVIEVED MY REFUND. THE APP STILL DOES NOT WORK.
THIS IS SKY.
Avoid if possible- Sky Q as alternative
This has got to be the worse product Sky has launched! I have had countless issues with this service and still it continues. ‘The start from the beginning’ feature is temperamental and if you want to add something to your playlist it always goes to the premium service. Then you can’t even locate the show on the normal sky Channel e.g Comedy Central
A lot of the times going through the adverts it takes me back to the beginning of the programme.
All in all it’s very frustrating and annoying and wish I had sky Q or at least the HD box. This product isn’t fit for purpose.
Absolutely dire
Absolutely dire. Save your money - buy something else. Pixelating, blank screen, locked screen. Nothing but problems. Customer service - forget it. If you have a smart TV use that. I can stream through TV without any issues. It is a Sky issue!
Crap.
Crap.
Limited amount of programmes for the price, pixilated a lot of the time, no record feature and worst of all you just can't contact them.
They just send you round in circles.
Can't wait until my contract is up, I definitely won't be sticking with them
Poor Poor Poor
It really is terrible, doesn’t come on when you press power button.
Sky sports games just cut off, despite having strong internet signal.
At times the audio is behind the picture.
Slow and jerky in the menu, and difficult to use.
Cannot record, its down load but doesn’t work well.
Customer service are poor and just blame you or your internet, but i use an independent speed test to my supplier and my internet is strong.
I will leave Sky once my contract is up. Personally i would avoid.
I don’t use iptv, and will not be, but you can see why people do, its better and far cheeper.. stick with Sky Q or an alternative
Not fit for purpose
Compared to Sky Q, Sky Stream is terrible.
Watching live TV is just about bearable with a reasonably fast internet connection. Watching anything on 'catch up' is nigh on impossible as Sky are desperate to push so many adverts and the puck incorrectly stores what point in the programme you have reached. The result . . . constantly being sent back to a previous point in the programme. Sometimes it takes 5 or 6 attempts to continue watching from the point before the adverts.
The interface is clunky and seems to have been designed by someone who has never used a streaming service before.
The pucks themselves are unstable and often either do not turn on or freeze.
Sky Stream is not fit for purpose and the fact Sky are trying to charge a premium rate beggars belief.
1000's of complaints about lip sync…
1000's of complaints about lip sync issues with Sky Stream that Sky cannot fix its been going on for over a year now. Sky blaming customers equipment. I am amazed the press have not picked up on this.
Avoid at all costs!
Often boots without sound, picture skips, very glitchy, slow. Really atrocious viewing experience - our expectations of this service from Sky is no different to the reality.
Sky Very poor
Very poor , constantly have to reset the puk , works but is just painful
1 star for Sky Stream is 1 too many.
1 star for this appalling product is 1 too many. It’s utterly crap. As the hundreds of other reviews saying the same things show. Often won’t turn on, screen goes black and then restarts somewhere else in the programme, remote won’t operate the TV, sound and picture don’t synch, FF and rewind almost never work. These are just a few of the faults. The list is a mile long.
I’ve spent hours talking to their tech people, and nothing they suggest helps. One of them told me to go to Sky Q instead (which I can’t have here), evidently knowing it’s unfixable. They obviously all know the service is a disaster, but aren’t allowed to say.
And they’ve offered me a piddling amount in compensation.
Don’t waste your money on it.
Sky Stream is absolutely terrible!
Sky Stream is absolutely terrible!! Cannot have a dish in my new location so have to have sky stream. Internet speed is (supposedly) minimum of 60MB/s yet TV constantly cuts out and although I pay extra for UHD for football, the UHD constantly buffers. Absolute waste of time but I am stuck with this as my only sky option. Would totally not recommend. Absolute shite!!!!!!
Appalling
I regret the day I ever signed up to an appalling Sky Streaming contract, NO recording facility so I can't even watch TV programmes when I want to!
Even signed up for TNT Sports to watch Moto GP for an extra £25 a month and still can't watch it when i want to and have to sit through adverts unless I pay an extra £4 a month (which I'm not going to do, they can shove it where the sun don't shine!) Issues with picture and voice synchronising too. Total rip off, don't touch with a barge pole. If I could rate it lower than one I would!
