I recently had a Level 3 survey done, which was completed quickly. However, I was not allowed to attend the survey, so I didn't have the opportunity to discuss it with the surveyor in person. Although they offered to take calls if I had any doubts, I didn't feel that this was a sufficient substitute for a face-to-face conversation.

In my opinion, the survey was quite extensive, but it focused more on general suggestions rather than identifying specific issues with the property. Notably, the surveyors missed some significant problems, such as the asbestos tiles on the ground floor, which were not covered and seemed impossible to overlook.

Interestingly, a construction company that visited the property to provide a quote identified issues and offered suggestions that were more comprehensive and helpful than the survey. If I could go back, I wouldn't spend the money on the survey again.

Please don’t waste your money on this company.
They make false allegations about your home, tell you lots need to be sorted NOW then further down the report states it isn’t urgent & report they can’t access places when they clearly can.
A lot of the report is copy & pasted adding in some words of their own every now & then. The font is changed on those words so it’s very easy to see.
Make discriminatory remarks because the estate is half privately owned & half owned through the council making allegations of anti social behaviour & noise disturbance ( no evidence for either ) but states at the time of visit it was ‘ quiet ‘

The surveyor also knows nothing about non standard construction houses as he told the purchaser a lot of incorrect information ‘ off the record ‘

You certainly got your moneys worth & are complete & utter con artists!

We found our dream home. Asked for level 2 survey just to make sure. It was advised we needed a level 3 due to age of property. This was expensive but went with advice. 96 pages of report later and we realised this was a money pit not a dream home. Thank you for a job well done. We did not purchase that house.
