We aren't local to Nottingham and we are moving here for 3 years for my PhD. My partner and I are from two different ends of the country, so it's been awkward with planning viewings and we had to dedicate a week to come and stay in town and we ended up viewing over 20 properties within 5 days, so we now know Nottingham areas well enough and are acquainted with estate agents here.
Val stood out in his genuine description of the property, areas, and even if he didn't know an answer to something, he looked it up for us while we were there, and he came very prepared. We were astounded because compared to other agents who either told us to check the ad for the details or just seemed generally disinterested, Val was engaged and transparent. Of course the property itself was lovely and the terms of the landlord like parking space and allowing a pet sweetened the deal, but it always helps to have an agent that engages with you. We are now relieved and enthusiastic about moving. Thanks, Val!

Having dealt with some terrible letting agents I can’t recommend Slater and Brandley more highly.

From the onset they have been nothing but professional, friendly and helpful. I dealt with Grace and Alicia and couldn’t have received better service or had a more stress free experience.

My experience so far has been nothing short of disgusting. Firstly, the staff lied about multiple things about the property including parking and once we approached them about it we was met with one of their workers called Michael Whyman, who was extremely rude, condescending and outright disrespectful. Not only was we labelled liars he proceeded to make smug comments via emails taunting us regarding our concerns.

Slater and Brandley hierarchy need to assess who they employ and look further into the matter.

Secondly, when we moved in we tried out the hoover left behind in the apartment which to our surprise has some sort of feces inside that was left behind and never checked by the tenancy agents.

Numerous things were falsely advertised within our property and this company has zero communication skills.

We can never get a straight forward answer out of this company, and conveniently everyone is on holiday when trying to raise a complaint.

Save your self the stress and go elsewhere.

Kev replaced taps sink plug and waste pipe and a new kitchen unit shelf..Professional finish, left everything in a good state. Happy customer!

I am not one to leave reviews at all but this one was too much to hold back! Worse agency ever! Treated us so poorly, did not fix issues that were reported before we left the property considering we were patient and understanding with the personal issues that went on with the Landlord. Then had the audacity to deduct from our deposit for a damage that we didn’t even cause because they did a poor job! Did not inform us that there was no CO2 alarm fitted or one that worked in the property before moving in. They came half way into our tenancy to fix or repair one in the property. We wanted to take this up through legal channels but we have decided to let karma take its course because we believe that what goes around comes around. They were not in anyway sympathetic. So many problems with the property including mould in cupboards and back doors which we reported but were given a spray to do it ourselves knowing that I have asthma and breathing difficulties (which worsened) while at the property by the way! Unsafe conditions including a cracked shower tray and stair rails etc. There was a guy they used to send to come over who was just rude and had an attitude and not professional! Turning up at the property without informing us. I will not be mentioning names but I’m sure they know who they are. The list goes on but the treatment we received from this agency was disgusting and no one deserves to be treated this way. Just glad we got out and never will or have to deal with them again! Living there did more harm to our physical and mental health. All they care about is your money but not providing satisfactory service to their clients. I can’t speak for the sales team as I’ve never worked with them but the lettings team are a big let down. They will soon get a taste of their own medicine. Please avoid them if you can!

Frankly speaking, it was so hectic looking for accommodation after several weeks searching all over. After finally coming into contact with Grace and her team at 55-57loughborough road, West Bridgeford I experienced a great and overwhelming reception. They’re very professional and highly friendly. They possess good communication skills and highly customer service. The place is highly hygienic and high standard of safety precautions.

A big thanks to Marc who helped me fix the leaking pipe today! He is really professional really helpful!
