From beginning to end, friendly customer service, simple process to follow, excellent communication. The inventory was thorough, my new home professionally cleaned and with nice touches like air fresheners dotted around. Matthew was a brilliant contact point, quickly resolving any issues I encountered. They also use Goodlord, the simplest and smartest looking tenancy tracking systems I've used, taking a lot of stress out of the moving process.

So far so good! My agent Matthew went out of his way to help me, meeting me out of business hours to welcome me to the property. Communication has been good. The property is cheap and conveniently placed.

The service has been excellent, professional, timely and easy communication. Grace has been amazing throughout and made the process extremely smooth and enjoyable ! :)

To start off, renting with them wasn't too bad. There was a couple of issues with the property when we moved in that got sorted quickly. But since the start of the pandemic last year, communication has dropped off a cliff. Emails have been ignored, works orders have been issued, no one has turned up, and emails asking what it was meant to be for have not been responded too.
We called them about it, and they promised to respond to us, and nothing happened.
Oh, and the opening times are wrong, they aren't open on Saturdays.

As a landlord with a few properties I have used a number of letting agencies over the years and I can categorically say Slater and Brandley have by far and away provided the best service. Professional, meticulous, and thorough - I can’t fault them. Cannot recommend highly enough!

5 stars across the board. I have attempted in the past to rent from a few estate agents and always found them not too pleasant and obstructive in most but not all cases. Thus my last long term rental was a good private landlord.

However this agent was a breath of fresh air. Professional, polite, smooth processes and very good communication across the board and answered questions well. Was made to feel welcome! This sort of professionalism and good service I would love to see across the entire sector. From the moment I called to enquire to picking up the keys, they were very good with us!

Not a great experience with Slater and Brandley. We tried to market our flat with them in a good location in Nottingham. No reason whatsoever it can't be let out.

Initial contact with Will was good. He sent someone called Joanna out, first time we met her she was friendly, second time she was rude anyway, gave them the benefit of the doubt. We got allocated James, who is lazy and rude and does nothing to help let your property. We have been with Slater and Brandley 4 months now.

His phone manner is atrocious, I called a few times and I emailed a couple of times, he needs to look at his spellings. I have thankfully taken my property and decided to let privately. Going with an agent is meant to reduce your stress and they have increased my stress. Time wasters!

The agency helped me find a flat in Nottingham during my first year. I had a problem with the landlord. Unfortunately, I should have contacted them to get assistance. I had a conversation with Mr. William Brandley who saw my original negative review to explain how the type of contract I signed meant negotiating the return of the deposit directly with the landlord. If you are in such position in the future, don't make the mistake of negotiating with the landlord if you are being treated unfairly. Give them a call, and they may be able to help. Always get informed by experts as Slater and Brandley instead of making your own decisions, specially if you are an international student and are not aware of the regulations in the UK regarding lettings.
