The best sleep consultants to exist

The entire sleeping bunnies team are phenomenal, their support is invaluable & they have helped countless families. I recommend every friend as soon as they get pregnant to book a consultation with one of the girls & they have all been saved by their knowledge.

Transformative!

Working with sleeping bunnies for my third child has completely transformed our lives. Our third was not a great sleeper at all, lots of night wakes/feeds and terrible naps and with having to look after two older children too we just got stuck in a rut. Myself and my husband were exhausted and we didn’t know what to do. Getting the help from sleeping bunnies was the best decision we made, as within a week her sleep was drastically better and her naps were brilliant. It was really gentle approach and we felt like Sleeping Bunnies were there to support us the whole way. Their knowledge and understanding of sleep is second to none and now that we have implemented strategies it all just makes sense.
We now have a far happier family and we are so grateful for their help.

We had a consultation with Sleeping…

We had a consultation with Sleeping Bunnies with my 3rd child at 9 months who previously was rocked to sleep by dad and fed to sleep by me. He woke up by any eternal sounds and was waking 8-9 times a night and only resettled by breast in our bed, so we spent half the night co- sleeping.

We were beyond exhausted and had given up all hope of ever having a full night sleep again. It was impacting our family dynamic, living in a 2 bed with our other 2 children in the other room. We took what we thought was a huge risk and big expense by deciding to contact sleeping bunnies. How wrong we’re we!!!! From the initial consultation we instantly felt supported and heard by Anna, I felt so happy that I could continue my breastfeeding journey (which has always been important to me) and I came away feeling confident that we could make progress even with him still in our room.

I can’t believe 1. The progress he made and 2. How fast he took to it 3. How achievable & relatively easy it was to implement.

I always thought I wouldn’t be able to meet sleep needs whilst also having a busy life on the go as a family of 5. The approach and tools I was given in my plan were flexible and allowed for a rubbish nap on the go and when life gets in the way.

He now sleeps 1.5 hours twice a day, settles to sleep happily, and last night slept not just 12 hours but 12.5 hours!!!! We also have learnt that our grizzly unhappy baby we thought we had, was clearly just overtired and needing to get the sleep he needs.

I can’t Anna and Sleeping Bunnies enough, it sounds cliche to say, but it has been life changing and I feel happy that not only my 9 month old his sleeping well but our family is far more harmonious as a result. We are soooooo pleased we took the chance and a leap of faith (desperate hope 🫠) and booked a 1:1 consultation with the loveliest company and team. We just wish we had reached out sooner!

Thank you again Sleeping Bunnies from bottom of our hearts 💕

Sleeping bunnies have changed the lives…

Sleeping bunnies have changed the lives of myself and my 11 month baby girl. She was waking multiple times in the night, would only co sleep most of the time and only contact napped on myself. She was doing short 30 min max naps and was constantly overtired. She can now self settle and does 2x naps in her cot and sleeps in her cot at night. She can now nap for an hour sometimes more and if she wakes in the night she can resettle herself. We are still working on cutting out her structured night feed and there is room for more progress but the improvements so far have been amazing for us both. We are both so much happier. Karlie was so helpful and supportive when we needed to change strategies a few times to suit Margaux. Thank you once again!

I still can’t believe I’m typing this

I can’t believe I’m typing this. My 19month old co-sleeping,boob monster, CMPA, sleep unpredictable, night waking baby girl is SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT.
Thank you so much to Karlie at sleeping bunnies for all your help, kindness, advice and compassion. We had a zoom together at the beginning and Karlie gave us lots of little sleep tweaks and tips which helped the next night straightaway! The next day she sent through a thorough written up plan to help start supporting us with our daughters sleep. She was really helpful on calls/WhatsApp with keeping us encouraged and motivated.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend sleeping bunnies, here’s an extended review below for anyone interested. I personally had scoured the internet for hours to find out if paying for a sleep consultant would be worth it. I always read so much into the stories of other families, trying to find one that resonated with us and our situation. I always felt so torn between the harsh pro sleep train parents and the breastfeeding child responsive earth mother types (neither of these are me and I have friends on each side and I judge no one!).

Every night we put our daughter to bed (breastfed to sleep by me or rocked by dad) we were so hopeful that tonight would be different: we’d timed all naps, made sure she had a full tummy, correct Spotify lullabies, temperature, clothes etc….still she was waking up! We approached sleeping bunnies when my daughter was 16 months old. She had been a fairly rubbish sleeper before this age, but at 15months we were faced with multiple night wakings and a miserable, tired child. We also had no idea about how to drop to one nap. We felt we were trying but all failing.

I thought I knew A LOT about sleep because I follow lots of sleep pages on Instagram, and have read all the famous books, but my husband and I felt lost exhausted and we didn’t know where to turn, so we decided to invest in some sleep training. I have to admit didn’t have very high hopes because my daughter is a boob monster, and I thought that it would be impossible to sleep train a breastfed baby.
I still don’t feel like I have ‘sleep trained’ my baby in the terms of doing something like Ferber, but we have followed sleeping bunnies advice and do have a much more content baby/toddler who knows how to settle herself in the night and grab a teddy rather than screaming out for booby. She never liked a teddy before but something clicked for her in this process.

We did have some really tough nights with the ‘sleep training’. We weren’t sure if we were doing the right thing we were worried we’d spent all this money and we weren’t getting the results that we wanted. The morning after a tough night we would message Karlie telling her what had happened and she would always have an idea of something to do differently/change/focus on. We had a lot of illness in the time that we were doing the consultation package, but sleeping bunnies were flexible kind and helpful.

Sleeping bunnies also helped us get down to one nap with my daughter using lots of clever ideas that I would not have thought of using or doing. Karlie also explained more about science than I had heard about before which was really enlightening, the biggest step that we overcame at the beginning, was working out our daughter’s wake windows. I was worried at the beginning of this that I was going to be told that I had to stop breastfeeding to have any success but that was never a consideration. She is 19months now and if she does randomly wake up but can’t settle herself then i still breastfeed her for comfort.
Our daughter has been sleeping through 6-6.30 which I never thought would happen. It took about 3 weeks for us to get results. We work full time which Karlie warned us would mean that it would take a bit longer to see her sleeping through.
She’s still sleeping through even now in January after illness and sleeping in a travel cot in 3 different locations over the Christmas break!
If you are going to embark on spending this money on doing sleep teaching, consider if you are really ready to make the changes that you want to see (you will have to make changes to get changes-I loved sitting with my baby breastfeeding her to sleep, but she didn’t actually really need this! I needed to get used to this! Ps I still breastfeed her right before going in cot but she does go in mostly awake, comfortable:)) if you are in a relationship it’s gonna be tough going but worth it in the end. Dad/partner might need to get more involved. Explain to the other people who look after your child what you want them to do and set really clear expectations, and finally-clear out your diary weekends/evenings for a month! Worth it!
Thank you soooo much Karlie!!!!! xx

'Sleeping Bunnies' is a DREAM!!!

Sleeping Bunnies has always been an absolute 'dream' for us!! Everytime we have sought advice, at different stages of our children's sleep journeys, it has always worked like magic! We have stuck to their advice and the results have always been great.
Sleep regressions, toddler battles and big-bed transitions have gone so much smoother with their help; they have helped us to feel supported and given us practical answers at very testing times!
Thanks to Anna and her team, our children now both self settle, sleep through and wake at an appropriate times

An honest, reflective review of our experience

I am writing this post in reflection of working with Sleeping Bunnies 4 months ago.
My son was 18months at the time.

I had thought long and hard about sleep training as I had never agreed with leaving babies to cry. I had read many reviews about a holistic approach I was curious and desperate to ‘fix’ the issues and thought it seemed like a good investment with little distress for our son.
I am leaving this review to give a fair insight into the service.

The issues for us was the multiple wake ups.
Our son loved bedtime routine, had a good nap routine and no longer breast fed to sleep but used a dummy.
We wanted to reduce the wake ups, remove dummy and ideally wake later in the morning.

Our first zoom call consultation was friendly with Anna the owner of the company.
We talked through our sons routines and back ground for near 2hrs and Anna said she’d share a short plan to start work.

Some of the changes involved earlier bedtime with a shorter bath and story time, going back to using a sleeping bag even though he had stopped using one a couple of months earlier.
This didn’t feel like huge progress but understood it’s meant to be holistic so continued. We had even earlier wakes but listened that this would adjust later.

Then we had our first assisted Soothe, Settle, Repeat weekend.
The consultant supports on WhatsApp messages and voice notes.
We were due to start lunchtime nap at 9.45am as we were told it would take longer.
I was very naive going in to this and didn’t understand that we would be leaving our son to cry. This first attempt took 2hrs of our son being extremely distressed, crying, screaming, sweating, ripping the sleeping bag off, hitting his mouth to cause his lip to bleed on the cot… whilst we go in and out the room to ‘soothe’ him by putting his bum and saying sleepy time until his crying reduces, but it starts as soon as we leave again. Eventually he burnt out from exhaustion and fell asleep.

Whilst doing this process, the other partner is sharing short videos of the monitor to the consultant who encourages you to keep going or go in and soothe.

Bedtime followed the same pattern - starting at 5.30pm - but at 7pm the consultant sent a message to say she had to go and was passing me to a colleague. I felt so let down, already emotionally distressed as my son was still awake in his cot.

We continued for another week, and we noticed our son seemed emotionally broken down and started to become understandably upset about going up to bedtime and developed night terrors.

For the last week of the process we received a message to say that Anna our consultant was unavailable and Karlie would be finishing our plan, who in fact never called me for our final conversation and feedback. Again I felt let down as a customer of their service.

I felt let down that communication (except the first zoom call) was all on WhatsApp voice notes, no phone calls, no warning of consultant changes, and no real response to our feedback of the effect on our son. For the expense, and from the positive language used on the website, I’d expected a gentler and better supported process.

Following this experience, we have better responded to our sons needs and development and have created a joyful calm bedtime experience that our son loves, and he sleeps well for it. Thankfully by making him feel safe and secure, he loves bedtime and the night terrors stopped.

Reply from Sleeping Bunnies

We are sorry to hear that you feel that our service was not as you had expected. Unfortunately, as with many businesses and professions we do occasionally have staff go off work due to illness and/or other reasons, we do however do our utmost to provide an alternative sleep coach to continue with the package of support (as stated in our Terms and Conditions) as we wouldn't want to leave families without support or a point of contact.

At the time of support there were two phonecalls included in the package and one call took place with Anna on the 17th of August and the other was offered on two occasions. If we do not receive responses from families it is very difficult to know how to provide support. We have a wide selection of settling techniques and often adapt plans throughout packages of support to meet the baby/child and families needs.

Once again we are sorry to hear that you feel this was your experience.

We had a really good experience with…

We had a really good experience with Karlie from Sleeping Bunnies. We’ve gone from our 10 month old waking every 40-120 minutes and taking short naps to him mostly only waking once a night and doing at least 1 long nap a day.

We took a very gradual approach with no tears and whilst our baby is still not sleeping all the way through we are confident it will happen soon now that our baby can self settle.

We’re so happy to have our evenings back thanks to Sleeping Bunnies.

Thank you for everything!

Karlie at Sleeping Bunnies has been amazing. We’ve gone from 6 + wakes a night and constant daytime nap battles to having structured sleep and much calmer, easier bedtimes. Our son is so much happier following our consultation. Best money we’ve ever spent. The weekly check ins and calls are great and empowering. Thank you for everything, it’s been such a positive experience

Tailored support to get a baby sleeping through the night with good naps - priceless

I did not think it was possible for my 10 month old to sleep the way she does now. We had multiple wakes (5-8 was quite normal) a night and were happy if she did more than 3h straight. It was not easy and it was not an overnight fix, but with the support of the Sleeping Bunnies team we managed to get her sleeping 12h straight and goes to sleep herself without any fuss. We could not have figured this on our own, the approach that they use really is tailored to the child and family. If we tried something that didn't work, they suggested an alternative approach and at the second suggestion it almost always worked. I am so glad that I chose to give this a try, I only wish I had known about them sooner so we could have done the same with our first born.

The best money we have spent!

The best money we have spent!! Our little girl has gone from being rocked to sleep, short naps and multiple night wakings to longer naps and falling asleep independently with no dummy! We are amazed!! Kelly has been incredible throughout this journey and has given us the tools to tackle any issues we may face in the future. I can’t recommend sleeping bunnies enough, they really have changed our lives.

Thank you Karlie!

Our 15 month old used to be a great sleeper, until a family holiday over the summer meant we were now back to endless rocking, multiple failed cot transfer attempts, lots of wake-ups (some nights every 20 min) and her waking up screaming and upset. Our back was in bits, we were dreading nighttime, and had no idea how to go back to our old routine in a gentle and responsive way that didn't involve crying it out. Karlie was great - she is knowledgeable, patient and supportive. Within days of implementing her advice little one was back to falling asleep independently and sleeping through the night. We successfully transitioned her to one nap and she now wakes up happy and well-rested. Karlie was always available to answer any questions or concerns and was always there to encourage us and celebrate big and small wins. Overall we would highly recommend Sleeping Bunnies!

Life changing

In just 4 weeks our lives have changed. Our lovely 9 month old was having short naps, would only be fed to sleep, was co sleeping and was waking around 10 times a night from 7-7. I had low expectations of what I wanted to achieve from the process and those have been exceeded ++ Our daughter is now in her own room, going down for naps (1.5 hours each time!!) and bedtimes with no fuss and falling asleep by herself within 15 minutes each time. Her night wakes are no more than 2 to 3 and she has slept through the night this week too. Kelly has given us the information and confidence on what to do next to make any further changes and she has been so patient with me every step of the way, adapting to us with the pace of changes and listening to all my worries and providing reassurance and advice. I would recommend Sleeping Bunnies to anyone, it’s been so worth it.

The best help to drop from 2-1 naps!

We have been using Sleeping Bunnies for help with the 2-1 nap transition for our daughter who's 16 months old. We were really daunted with where to start, but could not have felt more at ease with the guidance and support that Anna offered. They are so kind, thoughtful, knowledgable and helpful - truly going above and beyond to adapt advice to your own family and baby. We could not recommend more!

What a fantastic team, helped all throughout the process from start to finish. So supportive and non judgemental. We just thought our first two weren't 'good sleepers ' but thought we'd give it it a go. Wow what a difference it makes, our family is so much the better for it. Just thank you :)
