7 months later..

7 months later... Avoid like nothing you've ever avoided before!!
So after 7 months of lies and being fobbed off I had to take out court action. This was weeks after Bensons had gone into administration with PWC and the new investment owners took over. The day the court action was filed and I'd started to email senior management, a date was provided for Bensons to come and collect the faulty mattress (that was deemed faulty 7 months previously). The delivery chaps turned up on the date planned, which is a mircale unto itself, and guess what? The driver tells me the mattress must be wrapped before it can be taken away! With what exactly? Toilet roll? Not once was I told this in any correspondance. Luckily enough, we'd just bought a new mattress from The Bedman in Redditch (amazing service and products by the way) and I fetched the wrapping out of the wheelie bin to put the Bensons mattress in. The comment from one of the drivers as they were loading it into their van just about sums it up, "This mattress is a bit bloody floppy isn't it?" Oh yeah. You'd better believe it. £400 mattress as well. To end this miserable experience, we ended up getting a full refund. Right now Bensons For Beds is not fit to be a high street retailer. They are taking money from custmers and providing delivery dates that simply cannot be fulfilled - and they know this as well. Spend your money anywhere - absolutely anywhere apart from Bensons for Beds. Simply the worst company with equally despicable lies and overpriced junk furniture on the high street. The faster this company goes under the better off we will all be.

Bought a £700 mattress from Bensons

Bought a £700 mattress from Bensons, after 10 months it has a 6 inch depression on both sides. Homeserve Inspection (arranged by them) says no issue! They acknowledge that they have no formal complaints procedure, won’t respond to our issue of mis-selling and basically accusing us of lying! No Senior Management response! Don’t use them, we’re in touch with BBC Watchdog as Bensons have basically washed their hands with us, so much for customer service and a 5 Year Guarantee!!

Horrendous company. Avoid!!!!!!

Awful. Avoid at all costs. I waited 6 weeks for a bed. 14 minutes before the delivery slot I was called and told that the bed isn't in stock and they don't know when it will be. I now have no bed. No one can deal with it. I've slept on the floor for 8 nights and every day up to last Friday someone told me they're shipping an airbed for me that day. It's now 4 days later and no one has contacted me since. I've never used such a horrific company in my whole 40 years.

cancel order

we were told our order for £1600 would delivered in September,, no mention of a time limit to cancel no mention of term and conditions,, we had carpet fitted , so i though i wouls check on when the new bed would come,, shock and horror it was 20th October 20,, nearly 2 months from order date,, when i phoned the shop to cancel i was told there would be a 20% deduction, although there was no mention of this when we bought the stuff, when i had a go at the women in the shop she admitted that she did not give us there T & C leaflet because she did not have any,,,so now i have lost £306, myself and my wife are both disabled and only live on old age pension,, when i tried to get through to customer service,, it took me over 20 hours to get through,,, and basically was told to read the T & C,, i told them i did not get the leaflet,, and the women in the shop had admitted she did not have a leaflet to give us,, the women in customer services did not care ,, just said read your T&C,, where it states 20% deducted for cancelations,,

Avoid buying the Tec Motion Plus 6'…

Avoid buying the Tec Motion Plus 6' TOPPER VERSION unless you want lumps in the middle of your back, pull the topper back up the bed and replace sheets every morning, push the topper sideways back on to the bed every morning or if you get up in the night. Obviously know of this problem as silicon like bobbles have been added to top of the mattress to stop this sliding down, they deny there is a problem even with photographic evidence with topper hanging odd bed. Surely simple solution like other more reputable companies zipped on topper to main mattress. Benson for Beds just as poor with customer services. Taking court action now.

Buyer beware.

I am still waiting for the report from the man who came to look at the 6 month old mattress that collapsed at the side. This is the second time I’ve asked for the report and all you do is ask for my detail then don’t get in touch. Am not going away and I refuse to speak to you rude and ignorant customer service. Am taking this to the ombudsman so I need the report. Am disabled and been treated despicable. You are a money grabbing company who doesn’t care about their customers. Any one reading these I would go to dreams trust me. C4828136

cannot give them a 0 as it dont go that low -- they are actually minus .
This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with , & I am 73 .
Been waiting for over 3 months for my mattress to be exchanged under their gaurantee -- they have been sitting on £1100 of my money for 3 months & I have a mattress I cannot sleep on -- I am registered disabled but this dont matter to them - they cannot give me any idea whatsoever when they can deliver -they say supplier problem ??all suppliers work on lead times & schedules - but to much for bensons to find out .
This company borders on robbery .
STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE - TREAT THEM AS IF THEY HAD A PLAGUE -inept , ineffective , totally abysmal outfit -- I sincerely hope they go into liquidation as they truly deserve -- DONT FORGET : AVOID THEM LIKE A DISEASE .
Cant even get my money back as it is an exchange under their " sleep gaurantee " - just been on fone again & they are adamant they have " no idea at all " when my mattress will even be made !!! & that is a quote .

Trying to get a refund for a month now.

I have been trying to get a refund now for a month. The whole thing has gone on for 2 months (Simply trying to get 2 pillows!). Its been so long that my 'not in stock' product is suppose to be in stock again on 9th July (I no longer want it due to it's terrible non existent customer service)! Everytime I am contacted and given a number the person on the other end basically tells me they can't give me a refund as it is internet sales and it's a different team. Why can't anyone give me the correct number and a person who can actually carry out the refund? This has been the biggest pain for 2 months now. That is a lot of time waiting for a product. If you don't have it, don't say you have it in stock online! Very angry.

Dreadful company

Dreadful company. Just read the posts on Facebook to see how terrible they are.
They have delivered faulty beds twice and have now asked for a refund but have said that they can't refund until the beds are collected and will not be collected due to Covid 19.
Avoid. They are crooks

Bensons for Beds Dodge a bullet do not order anything from this Dreadfull company

my bed was ordered and delivery date given afew days befor delivery we were given notice of cancellation we asked for a new delivery date and they had no idea when on that basis I wanted to cancel which customer service said they could not deal with as I purchased the goods on the internet I did ask the reason for failure of delivery and was informed corvid 9 was the problem I asked in a polite tone if indeed that was the case why are they still taking money and orders the advisor then cut me off! I have sent email after email to internet sales adviseing them of cancellation and my rights under the consumer 2015 act with no response today we had a text message advisng that delivery was now 8th of july???just don't know what to do next as we have to wait 59 days before getting the ombusman involved I wish I had the foresight to have checked the reviews on Trust Pilot as every review tells the same Story I Don't feel that this situation will have a happy outcome!

Totally disgraceful service from…

Totally disgraceful service from Bensons for beds Stoke-on-Trent.
Purchased a kingsize Silentnight micrafill orthopaedic mattress and drawer divan bed in late 2017, within a few months the mattress was sagging and uncomfortable so contacted BFB and basically told me I had to prove the fault and at my expense £40 for them to send out an engineer to assess if mattress was at fault.
Engineer had an attitude and you could tell he was not independent and found no fault other than 30mm sagging and dismissed the fault as within manufacturers settlement tolerances.
I still have the report stating he carried out a pressure test which was himself pressing down on the mattress and checking the sag with a piece of string.
Bensons refused to action any replacement or refund so was left £500 out of pocket and had to keep using the mattress, we have just bought an Emma hybrid memory foam mattress and it's fantastic.
Take my advice and steer clear of the cheap suits and false smiles from the showrooms because once they have your money tough luck.
I have all original pictures of pre engineer visit BFB requested and FIRMA engineers report.
I have also started a complaint with Silentnight direct.

1 star as there is no option for 0 stars.
This is as bad as it gets. Told delivery was 10 days, then 18 days, then "hopefully by September" which was 5 months away. Then I asked for my money back, this was refused as I had to email. All emails to every mailbox I have been given have been ignored. Every phone call involves an hour on hold. Please save yourself being in this situation. Aviod bensons for beds. Having to do a charge back. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Bensons for beds Kings Lynn ( Terrible Sevice)

Ordered wardrobe which was delivered broken and smashed. 6 weeks later another delivered with smashed mirrored draw and damaged lighting surround. Was told by Anthony at Kings lynn that it’s only you we have had trouble with and blamed it on the COVID 19 crisis and the firm fitting the wardrobe. This was before the lock down.

Rep for manufacturer was supposed to have been in touch with us as well as Bensons customer services but nothing.

DO NOT TRUST THEM.

The team at Kings lynn are rude and will blame any one and everything apart from them selves.

Don’t know how long before it’s sorted now as have 3/4 of a wardrobe installed.

Don't buy from Benson's for beds

Ordered two door mirrored wardrobe and two sets of drawers. Specifically requested mirrored door to be on left-hand side. What happens - it came with mirrored door for right hand side. Rang reading forbury road branch to be informed we need to ring customer services. Rang customer services to be told to ring Reading branch! After 2 hours and being told
1. We rang wrong branch no - we didn't we rang he number on the invoice

2. Told we had ordered it on line - we actually went in to the shop and on our invoice it gives the address and name of person who served us.

3. Told they never had that wardrobe in the shop - I don't know what we saw in the shop to make us order it!

After 2 hours and being told to send a picture they are sending someone out to have a look at the wardrobe even though we requested the store to arrange for someone to come and put it together and they were still here when ringing customer services. Now we also have a set of drawers thatwe have a handle hanging off as the screw won't bite. So another half a day will be wasted getting that sorted.

I think benson for beds is the worst…

I think benson for beds is the worst company to deal with my daughter has had no end of problems with them wouldnt touch them with a bargepole stay well away from them from sep 2018 my daughter ordered a bed they got the delivery date all wrong was told her bed would be delivered in two weeks was given wrong information bed was not going to be delivered until october then when it did arrive the matress was ripped so she had to wait another month for a new one now eight months later the matress is ripped yet again was offered a repair which really isnt good enough so they said as a goodwill gesture they would replace it in three weeks it is now four weeks and no one has said when this matress is being delivered im moving house and i was looking to buy bed and furniture i definitely wont be using bfb i will be going to john lewis instead as there products are so much better all they are offering to my daughter is a compensation which is a joke 75 pounds its cost her more in phone calls to there customer service they dont look after there customers at all not happy with there service at all

Disgraceful service-

Disgraceful service-my complaint went on for over a year and finally the Furniture Ombudsman took on my case.I was promised £86 compensation-yet to materialise -probably have to get ombudsman involved again if I want this compensation .
