Deceptive Tactics

I bought a day pass to watch a World Series Game. At least I thought that is what I was paying for. I went to view the game. I couldn't because they wanted me to subscribe. They use deceptive tactics! They better not charge me for anything else!

I don’t think they deserve the one star…

I don’t think they deserve the one star but had to enter something. They had a known service outage and I paid just 4.95 for a day pass and within minutes never could use the service. I contacted them to ask for credit to use another day and was refused. They even know they had an issue and if they can’t even move service to another day which I paid for then they are dishonest..

Service Failure and Unethical Refund Denial Policy

On 10/20/2025, I purchased a Sling Orange Day Pass specifically to watch a live NFL game. For the entire period of the pass, the service was completely unusable. I experienced continuous technical errors, including repeated failures to connect to the service and constant loading issues. I immediately performed all standard troubleshooting steps (restarting devices and internet, reinstalling the app) without success. The product I paid for was never delivered, as I received zero minutes of viewable content.

I contacted Customer Support via Live Chat on 10/21/2025 to request a refund due to the complete failure of their service. The representative was immediately dismissive and insisted on the company's "no-refund policy," labeling the complete lack of service as a mere "inconvenience."

I had to aggressively press the agent, emphasizing that their system failed to deliver the paid product, which they could verify by checking my account’s viewing history. Only after I escalated the issue and forced them to confirm my lack of viewership did the agent begrudgingly issue a refund as a "one-time exception."

This process demonstrates a deceptive and unethical business practice. Sling TV’s default action was to deny a refund for a service they failed to provide, forcing the customer to fight relentlessly for accountability. The entire interaction was extremely poor, unprofessional, and wasted my time.

Video stream is all dried up - SLING TV SUCKS!!

Tried their one day pass to watch Monday Night Football and it was unwatchable. The game would play for a minute - if at all. I tried the google phone app, their website on a web browser on my laptop and app on google tv. The results were consistently bad. Netflix worked just fine on google tv and youtube on the same browser so it wasn't the internet. Their service simply sucks.

I tried reinitiating the app, rebooting the smart tv and the results didn't change. Played for a few seconds and then just black screened.

Some would say that the problem was the load due to game 7 of Jays/Mariners but that simply can't be the case because the same issue continued after the end of the game. So the conclusion is that their service sucks.

Others would say that it has to do with AWS being down earlier in the day. Again, I had zero problems with netflix. So same conclusion - Sling TV sucks!

I was going to try the day pass as a way of checking the service out before upgrading to the monthly subscription. I'm so glad I tried this approach cause Sling TV SUCKS!!

This company needs to shut down

This company needs to shut down. I can't access any television program tonight via the app on my TV or even directly from their website. Their customer service does not exist... they have shut down every phone number that they used so you can't call them anymore, and the chat on their website doesn't work either.

Sling has been out most of today 10/20. Over the last month there have been many outages and issues. You can be watching a news show, get kicked out and then have trouble and a lengthy time getting back in. Lots of loading issues, recorded shows stop midway through, you can’t fast forward thru ads on recorded shows, etc.

Sling tv

Sling tv!!!! I don't know why I keep giving it a chance the channels never load always a error and than you can't talk to a real person and their chat system won't even load what a joke and it won't let you chat about the technical difficulties so annoying youtube tv or Hulu live tv never does that I just choose sling because it's cheaper but I guess you have to pay high dollar for something that will guarantee work so once save your money don't purchase sling tv!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Constant Connection ProblemsFor a half hour now I have been…

For a half hour now I have been watching the comet chase it's tail. It's not my TV, all the other LG channels load. I can stream my internet subscriptions that I watch on my TV. My internet speed is 97 everything works except sling and this is a common occurrence. Sometimes I can get Sling but I can't get my recordings. They are a lot of channels at a decent price, so for that I give them a 4, some other things a 3 but for aggravating connection problems a 1. Thus, the 2 rating

Sling TV is a scam

Sling TV is a scam. My husband paid for an Orange day pass to watch a baseball game, which the website said was included in the Orange day pass, but the platform wouldn't let him watch it. We requested a refund but they said, with no explanation, that no refunds will be given. They take your money and don't provide the service.
