I used Smarter Mortgages to re-mortgage for the first time (late 2023, so when interest rates were changing daily), I spoke with a lady called Kayleigh who couldn't be more helpful. She was on the ball and updated me when things changed. She was happy to speak on the phone or via whatsapp and was only ever too happy to help with the different queries we asked her.
I will be using them for every re-mortgage/house move going forwards and can't recommend them enough!
FANTASTIC company and service. Would give higher than 5*s if I could!

I have been using Smarter Mortgages for around 8 years now, specifically Adam, following a recommendation from a colleague and am nothing short of delighted with the service I have received.

Adam is approachable, very knowledgeable, has the patience of a saint and is very accessible. Adam is always supportive and has talked me through many options over the years and always obtained a fantastic deal for me. He is very, very proactive and given the recent changes to Base Rate has been completely on top of securing me a new deal at exactly the right time.

Smarter Mortgages were extremely helpful throughout the process as first time buyers. Our circumstances made looking for a mortgage more difficult but Richard was reassuring and thorough. Richard obtained a mortgage in principle for us in less than a few hours after a single email notifying him that we had made an offer and needed it that day! Kayleigh continued to contact us after obtaining the mortgage, offering her assistance and answering any questions that we had. There is no doubt in our mind that we would use Smarter Mortgages again when the time comes to re-mortgage. We cannot thank them enough!

Richard and Kayleigh have not only gone the extra mile, they literally went above and beyond to make sure that we are comfortable and have all the information available to make the best decision along the way. Without them, the experience of buying our first home would have definitely not been as smooth as it was. We were given rough quotes for our mortage. Spent some time uploading eveything they needed. Didn’t hear anything for days. Then despite showing my earnings and P60 they said I couldn’t get the mortgage. Conflicting information between emails as too many people working on the case. We dealt with Richard and Kayleigh whom we found very unhelpful and didn’t really understand my working pattern which is why this went wrong. Since then we have now had AIP from another mortgage broker and hsbc. Which goes to show that Smarter mortgages didn’t really know what they were doing or they don’t deal with people who work flexi hours or zero hours contract
I would recommend using AP solutions as they will fight your corner and get you your mortgage

Adam was fantastic. He makes it nice and easy and has a great knowledge of the market and options available for you. Would definitely recommend.

You'll struggle to find a better broker. We have used Adam on two purchases since 2017 and he has been excellent throughout. The first purchase went on for over 9 months and with our second we have been in contact for a similar period. Most people can find you a good rate but the service you get with Adam is second to none. I recommend him to everyone I know and will continue to do so.
