Smart Balance have now spent six mounth pretending to fix my sons hoverboard.

Infact - they do nothing. They just stall..

Don't ever use this company.

Horrendous still awaiting refund a single mum waiting for 170 pounds it’s been over 7 weeks now!!! They don’t correspond and don’t care!!! Fuming

Ordered a hoverboard that arrived in 4days. It has been used daily by my 8year old for the past 6weeks. No problem at all 😃

After reading various reviews I was wary after I had placed an order and bought a balance board off this company in November for my granddaughter. But I’ve got to say they were brilliant. When I emailed them with a question the answer came back almost immediately, the board arrived when they said it would, and to say my granddaughter is thrilled with it is an understatement. I have now two more grandchildren wanting one and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy off them again.

Fraudulent company do not use . Paid £169 for a hoverboard that was due to be delivered on the 31.5.21 still not arrived . The dpd tracking shows the parcel clearing customs in Netherlands and going to Belgium and then back to Netherlands . The company are not interested and I have had to raise this with my bank to try and get a refund

Disgusting company very ignorant will take money no problem x been trying to get replacement for 1 of the boards I ordered in Nov 2020 x they havent got the decency to reply to my e-mails x they just ignore you very bad company DO NOT ORDES ANYTHING OFF THIS COMPANY

9 weeks and still no reply ! after reporting a fault, do not waist your money on this company they are a fraud company saying that they have a UK base ,

STOP - A complete and utter Scam - I can't believe I have to even give them a star.

Purchased a Hoverboard from this company late November 2017, Santa Gift for my 10yr old. Site looked every bit official, create user name and password etc etc. Delivery time 2-5days. After a week sent them email for update. They sent me an email stating item was in transit with UPS along with tracking number. Contacted UPS directly who contradicted their email, item was not in transit nor had they received it, knew nothing about it. Sent them a few more emails, got no response. In a panic then mid December found legitimate Hoverboard site who were very professional and provided me with an excellent product just before Christmas Eve. I was blessed, as you can imagine.
Thankfully I paid smarthoverboarder.uk by Visa, Visa suspended payment to smarthoverboarder.uk who trade under Alphatrade and was refunded by money. Smarthoverboarder.uk had the cheek to send me an email on 31.1.18 to ask whether I had received my board. ( which I hadn't of course). Please do not get caught out like I did, the stress this caused me not knowing whether I was going to get my child's Santa gift before Xmas. Thankfully I had a happy ending, money refunded, and ended up buying three hoverboards from another Hoverboard site.

Charger quit working after 2 days. Still waiting replacement from company despite numerous emails. States UK company but seems to be from China. Stay clear!!!!!

I received a badly damaged Hoverkart from this company (a huge split in the plastic seat) which was not discovered until my son opened it on Christmas day. You can imagine the disappointment. Despite requesting a RMA, return address and refund 3 times, I heard nothing. It wasn't until I threatened to go to Trading Standards and social media with my story that I did receive a reply; 10% off my next order or keep the wrecked seat and receive a refund of £20! I paid £60 for the HoverKart!

I still have had no luck getting my money back as my credit card company have asked me to get an expert involved in confirming that the product is unfit for purpose.

Please do not use this company - they don't appear to have anyone in the UK interested in helping their customers.

SCAM DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE. I ordered a hoverboard for my son, believing I was buying from the UK, as the website claims to be uk based. It is not, it's actually in China. I did receive the hoverboard and although it looked reasonable, it was fake!! It had been shipped from France and came with a two prong plug, they sent a travel adapt with it!! Luckily for me I paid with PayPal and opened a dispute, after having no response from the so called company. I won my dispute and PayPal told me to send the hoverboard back to an address in Manchester. That's when the so called company started sending me emails requesting for me to send it back to France! The hoverboard is now somewhere in Manchester and I have been fully refunded, thank goodness. Please do not use big big scam!

Fake fake fake fake paid 190 for my sons hoverboard on Boxing Day have heard noting since not even a confirmation email. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have contacted my bank to see if I can get money back and trading standards have been notified.

Rip off Christmas present for my girl going through courts as we speak to get compensation as this thing seriously shaken vigorously and threw her off e-mailed them a few times no reply they will be getting a shock very soon 😉

Received hoverboard for christmas. worked for approx 30minutes. Contacted Smathoverboarder several times through links via the website and direct to their outlook account. 2 weeks later and 6 emails still no response. Do not deal with this company.

Only gave them one star as it wouldn't let me give none. It's a scam website. You will be sent a hoverboard which does not work. Then you wouldn't be able to return or receive your money back. Website should be reported to trading standards and closed down.
Absolutely terrible con of a website to buy from, our hoverboard worked for a day then overheated and has not worked since.
Have sent several emails with no reply.

Do not trust this website!!!!!! If you do your in for a massive shock.

I bought 2 for my sons for Christmas one didn’t work on Christmas Day battery kept cutting out and it threw my son across the street, I have emailed smarthover boards UK several times to try and sort this out they have not replied to me. Not good having a child in tears on Christmas Day with cuts and bruises.

I ordered this from Ireland 2 weeks before Christmas and like a few others here I had a panic when I read negative reviews here on trust pilot.

The items arrived within 7 working days and so far seems to work fine. The company is obviously run from China but the item was shipped from Germany and I was sent a tracking number so I could see the status

I bought the 8.5" hammer-smart-balance-wheel-gray. The bluetooth function works fine and it came with a handy carrier bag. It did come with a European plug but I had anticipated this and had bought an adapter for it.

As with all devices with rechargeable batteries I would advise people to not leave them charging indefinitely, hoverboards have been known to catch fire when being charged.

Bought a hover board from this site and got stung! The website looks promising and guarantees 90 days return and claims genuine product etc.

I only realised once I paid my money that its not a UK based company!
I tried to contact their customer service to cancel the order but no luck. In fact it does not exist.
I received the product and the whole packaging and feel of the product screams fake!!! It does not feel right to me and as a mother I would feel quite worried for my boy's safety.

I emailed the address posted on paypal and it became clear to me that this is some make shift website created by some Chinese profiteers who does not give two flying monkey about customer services or health and safety for that matter.
The first respond I received was just this:
'why do you want to cancel it?'

Second respond:
'sorry that we cannot help you cancel it,we have sent it out yet,pls you can check this link' (link removed)

Third respond:
'If u don't like them, would u mind try selling at lower price or send as gift to your friends who want them?'

I mean this is a joke right for a company that actually states on their website that they do 90 days warranty and 90 days return!

I ordered a Bluetooth hover board on 19th December (Tuesday) for Xmas as it stated same day dispatch. Began to panic as no dispatch email came in so googled for reviews and thought the worst as I began reading bad review after bad review. I live in the Scottish Highlands and it often takes longer to receive goods here. Hover board arrived by courier on 23rd December (Saturday) by courier and I was delighted and surprised after reading all the reviews. Excellent delivery times and one happy boy on Xmas day. My only criticism would be for them to keep on top of dispatch emails to stop people panicking. 😊😊😊

Had full refund from PayPal as after ordering quickly realised this was not a UK company which is why I'd decided to buy from here in the first place I tried to cancel within minutes of placing my order but they said it had been sent then when the item came it only had a 2 pin plug ! Instruction booklet is all in foreign writing no English at all.No guarantee booklet provided.Got no where with the company ,it became apparent they're based in China.Theres no return address on their page either should you have problems while it is under their supposedly 12month warranty! After researching this company it appears to trade under many names.Ended up paying slightly more from another company but the product does seem genuine this time.Feel much better knowing my child won't be using a potentially dangerous and fake hoverboard.
