Absolutely avoid this company

Absolutely avoid this company. They are dishonest and do not honor their commitments. No one showed up for the vehicle return, forcing me to leave the car at the hotel. I then had to arrange my own transportation to the airport, which was the agreed return location. They do not respond to calls or messages and have not refunded the security deposit. A complaint has been filed with the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai. Stay away from this company.

“Smart Lease Dubai charged me for an MG5 but delivered a lower-value Kia Pegas. Despite returning the vehicle in full compliance with the rental agreement, my deposit has not been refunded, and all attempts to contact the company have been ignored. This behavior constitutes unfair commercial practices under UAE Consumer Protection Law.”

Beware

Beware – Poor Car Rental Service Experience

• They promise deposit refund in 30 working days, blaming Salik and traffic fines
• In the UAE, Salik and fines do NOT take a month to appear
• After the waiting period, follow-ups are ignored
• The accounts/refund contact number stays switched off
• Even after giving a specific refund timeline (e.g. 48 hours), no refund is processed
• Currently still struggling to get my deposit back
• No response, no accountability

Think twice before renting.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Refuse to return deposits. Chasing them for weeks now to try and get my deposit back and keep getting told it will take time even though the 30 working days are long past. Avoid renting with them at all costs

DO NOT GET IT FROM HERE!

This is the worst car rental company i've ever experience. i NEVER write reviews eventhough experience is bad, but the fact that i spent my time here to write reviews? explain how dissatisfy i am.

1. Car given was completely in zero tank.
2. They said no deposit, but they have lots of additional charges that were not mentioned. Returned the car and suddenly asked for a "cleaning fee"
3. when it comes to them asking for payment, they replied within seconds. SECONDS. and when it's time to returning the deposit, i got read for so many times. messaged them for days, all i got was a read.
4. 30-35 days deposit will be returned they said. BS, it's been 40 days now, after several times complaning, calling, they "made" the transfer, which i HAVEN'T receive till today by the way, and they send the screenshot of the receipt, it said cheque will be credited end of the month (which is 25 days from today) . i'm not even sure if i will get this money or not, let's see in 25 days.

WORST EVER, DO NOT GET IT FROM THIS ! It can look "cheaper" than other rental, but consider your deposit is gone.

they should change their name to something else because clearly SMART is not the one.

I rented a car from Smart Leese

I rented a car from Smart Leese. The car itself was fine and the rental process was straightforward.

I am still waiting for my deposit refund after returning the car, and it’s over the 30 days.

I’ve been following up with the company for an update. I hope to receive the refund soon and will update my review once resolved.

The worest car leasing experience ever I wish I've seen the reviews a week ago. They even ignore the calls and the reach out via WhatsApp
I am reporting them to customer rights they gave me a damaged car and refusing to exchange it for the whole week I have been after them

They are very rude , they don’t respond and didn’t answer to any call that they know the number so I try to call with another number and they answer but they didn’t refund my deposit back yet police and dubai should make them responsible for their scam

This is the worst experience i had in my entire life with a care rental i spoke to them yesterday they said that they can’t deliver at night so i understand, today i contacted the guy named Rizwan at 10am he stated that he will deliver the car after 3 hours ,
3 hours passed no response i messaged him he said at 3:30pm for sure they will deliver and i was waiting and waiting and the guy stopped responding to me
I wasted my entire day waiting for them ro deliver they couldn’t be honest and just say we don’t have the car they kept me till last minute,
It’s so frustrating i don’t recommend them at all

DONT. I have left a review before on Google

I have left a review before on Google. Leaving another one here. Please if you want your life to become miserable and develop high blood pressure issue, get disrespected and be spoken to rudely all the time, then rent from this company.
Remember my words ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are rude and disrespectful. They will not fulfill obligations from their side and will stop your car from running if you are few hours late on rental.
I told an employee named Raheel to send someone for car service, I was told by someone in their company that they will handle it while giving me a temp car and then return the car when service done. Raheel told me no we won’t send you have to come to AlQuoz and “ When car engine have some some problems then we will check this is our problem or your”

Terrible company with horrible customer…

Terrible company with horrible customer service DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They will attempt to give you a broken car you didn’t select and promise that they will give you what is selected for weeks without communication

They will block your number if you complain
They will try to bully customers who they have wronged

Delivered the wrong car at 11:20 , was supposed to. be 11:00. I was in a hurry so had to take it so i didn't miss my appointment, the sat nav and car play both did not work, had to drive using my mobile phone (illegally) to go not far thankfully. Said they would swap it, it is 21:00 and i am STILL WAITING on a new car. The original car, a small one that i booked. Customer Service is an absolute JOKE! They DO NOT CARE! Noone has any sense of urgency.. and left me waiting ALL DAY! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

Bunch of thieves. I still haven’t received my deposit. They redirected me to their finance WhatsApp, but I’ve gotten nothing back. Do not use this company — they are a bunch of crooks.

I rented from Smart Lease Car Rental and paid the full security deposit. Months later, I am still waiting for my money back.
Car delivery was 6 May 2025!

Their process is always the same:
1️⃣ Ask for your name “to check”
2️⃣ Redirect you to another WhatsApp number for “finance”
3️⃣ Claim they are “looking into it” for months
4️⃣ Stop replying altogether

This is unprofessional, unacceptable, and feels like a deliberate tactic to keep deposits. Many customers risk losing their money the same way.

Think twice before renting from Smart Lease Car Rental.

I had the worst experience with a car…

I had the worst experience with a car rental company. I've been waiting for my refund for five months. Their name, "SMART LEASE RENT A CAR," is quite fitting, as they appear to be very clever about using customers' deposit money. It feels like they are playing games with their customers.
