The Worst Dental NightMare I've Ever Had

SmileLA appears to be just as every other dental office. But don't let the smooth taste fool ya... These pretty ladies in the front, are all only inviting you to be shivved by the dentist later, in the back. I suspect they are not the only unethical amoral dentist in town, but they are the ones who mistook me for something I'm not and shivved me anyway.

Literally The Worst Experience With Other Beings I've Ever Had In My Entire Life. The Abuse & Exploitation Began Almost Immediately.

I've worked and earned every dime I've saved. And I'm still a nice guy. I genuinely do unto others as I would have others do unto me. Not because I expect want or even need anything in return. U Can Only TransMit Who U R Inside. I love and give love so freely because I love myself. (I thought that was the whole point)

I surround myself with the best educated most competent professionals I can find and honor them, by always treating (and paying) them accordingly.

But occasionally I encounter predators.

I wrote a glowing review after my first visit. But the very next visit I caught them trying to charge me twice what they should have (they have a billing clerk and an office manager) when I noticed, they made waaay too much of a big deal about it, "of course" only being a mistake, 'anyone could have made'.

It was not my first red flag with this office.

I stayed the first day for more than four hours. I needed the work done and they apparently had the time. I was only grateful.

The next day I got a call from the office manager Nancy. Initially only following up she then went on for the next 40 minutes about the death of her father, apparently the last strong man left. It was weird.

Like I was suddenly the strong man in her life. When I didn't respond positively, she started punishing me (like I was her boyfriend) Cancelling my appointments at the last minute. In the short month I was there they changed my appointments three times, the last time just 17min before the appointment. It was as if because my time is my own they were free to do with as they would without any regard to or for me.

I've never felt more disregarded and abused.

Add to this they were literally charging me twice what they should have been and billing my insurance company as well. I honestly feel I've got dental PTSD now. I just wanted to get my teeth taken care of.

All was fine, until I noticed they were both overbilling me and also charging my insurance company for the same work. If you're not checking your bills, you are doing yourself a serious disservice.

I'm in such a great place in my life personally. This whole thing and the thing they did after has just broken my heart. It's remarkable someone would be able to so deeply hurt me. Literally the worst experience I've ever had with another sentient being. And that my friend is saying a lot.
