New Product Check In
Rudy was great at our original install and when he came by to do a check in on a hanging placement we had. Very professional, knowledgeable and made the process so easy.
I’m still waiting for my order
I’m still waiting for my order - several days after it was promised. Apparently the whole order was held up because one blind was defective. I paid a lot for two day shipping. The blinds that were ready should have been sent on time and the do-over blind sent separately. Very disappointed.

I only rec'd 1 of many fabric samples orders. No one was able to give me any information on when or if I would receive the other samples. I cannot move forward without fabric selection.

Poor Service
Purchased a flip home earlier this year that is full of Smith& Noble products. They refuse to service these products because I am not the original purchaser. I have offered to pay for the service call, but they refuse. I planned on buying more product, but will now look for another vendor.

Knows how to make it right for the customer
Smith and Noble is smart to employ Christina in the Home Services department in California. She went above & beyond to make sure we had a positive experience with the company and it was greatly appreciated. What happened: There was a mistake in the purchasing process and we were short a room with little time before the holidays, when we were hosting people and needed blinds in that room. Christina ensured the company made good on its initial promise despite tight timelines. I am extremely happy with how it turned out and the product itself looks great and the installers were very friendly/efficient. Usually people write reviews when the company screws something up and doesn't make it right. I wanted to write a review because of how well the company handled the mistake thanks to Christina's approach. Mistakes happen, processes are never perfect - but someone who cares that much about ensuring the customer is happy is a real asset for a company of that size.
Worth the wait and price
I was told upfront that measuring is extremely important and it would take time for the order to be delivered. I was able to view lots of samples of material to make a choice and could have called S&N for help. When it arrived it had to sit in the box for a month while we went away and then painted the room they were to be hung in. They were packed carefully with plenty of hardware and instructions. My husband is very handy and got them hung fairly easily. The material, lining everything is great quality. Very Happy.

I've had Smith and Noble shades for…10-15 years
I've had Smith and Noble shades for years and have been pleased until recently a internal cord broke and I'm left with an uneven droopy shade. I called to order a replacement and was quoted $608.00 for that one shade as they are individually made. I thought the quote was a mistake but it wasnt .
Bottom line BEWARE if one of many shades fails.

Blind defective and sent with wrong brackets
We purchased a faux wood blind for our bathroom. It arrived on time and we were happy with how the product looked. However it was sent with the wrong brackets so we couldn't hang it. We requested new brackets which were supposed to be expedited overnight or 2nd day air. It took 4 calls to Smith and Noble to find out where the brackets were. No one could tell us when or if they had shipped or give any tracking information. The brackets finally arrived 1 week later. It took 7 days for the brackets to be delivered on an expedited basis. We finally installed the blind only to find it was defective. We are working with customer service to have the blind remade. I've given a 3 star review because the customer service representative has been excellent to deal with so far. If the blind isn't promptly remade and shipped on an expedited basis I would give 1 star and not make another purchase.

Terrific customer service
I have ordered from Smith and Noble for years and have always gotten high-quality window treatments. I worked with a designer over the phone for a recent drapery order. She was terrific and took a lot of time with me, but unfortunately there was some miscommunication over the measurements and they arrived much too long. After reviewing the notes, the company sent new drapes (and all new hardware, which seemed like a waste), at the correct length but two panels were too narrow. Again, the company remade them. They were finally installed at the correct measurements yesterday. Start to finish, it took five+ months. However, customer service was terrific with correcting the errors. I’m glad I had paid for installation, as the installer handled the communication with the company directly, which was a big help. I will continue to order from Smith and Noble.
