Really helpful and courteous staff. We've used Smiths on several occasions in the past and have always been delighted with the quality of their service. In addition, they have always at the very least matched prices elsewhere and sometimes been cheaper than their competitors.

Used Smiths of Harrogate several times now - always a pleasure to visit. Steve, who generally helps us, does a great job. our second major purchase. They have a very impressive range of furniture.

The salesman Malcolm was brilliant. We went in for a certain chair and was half way through ordering it when my wife saw one that she preferred. He moved the chairs next to each other so we could compare them. Seeing them next to each other made our decision easy, (the second one). Malcolm chatted away to us and was was helpful in completing the order. First class service, great choice and good surroundings. An all round good experience

Value for money, and a pleasant, if a somewhat exhausting day. The fitters did a fine job and were very nice people.the carpet looks great.

The sales assistant Christopher HUGILL was amazing. He was knowledgeable and extremely patient!!! We were looking at a new settee and a new bed - we were in the store for 3 hours - the choice of products is excellent.

I had a problem with the springs in my mattress, about three years after its purchase. I was treated very courteously by Smiths and advised to sumit a photo. Within a few days I was told the makers had decided to replace the mattress free of charge rather than repair it. I was invited back and time was set aside at Smiths to choose a replacement. This was delivered promptly and the old mattress removed by the efficient and pleasant transport staff. This was very impressive service.

I would highly recommend Smiths of Harrogate and the Store Manager Jamie Dalton and Scott Davison who runs the warehouse and delivery operation. I wanted to support an independent store when I ordered my new mattress and their customer service made all the difference.

I spoke initially on the telephone to discuss the various models of Himolla sofas available. The salesperson, was knowledgeable, polite and prepared to discuss purchase options. I travelled over sixty miles, based on this conversation, to try the options available. I was not disappointed. The range was extensive. I was able to try out numerous styles, try different cushion firmness, see multiple colours of leather and wood frame and reclining options. Nothing was too much trouble for the salesperson who guided my wife and I through the selection process. The model we decided upon was made with an informed decision with absolutely no second thoughts, as is often the way when buying expensive items. Due to the thorough, patient, attentive manner of the salesperson exactly the right sofa was chosen. Thank you

I required a new electric reclining chair with prompt delivery. In the showroom I was shown a selection and having had a demonstration was left to make up my mind without any pressure. Having made my choice the chair was duly delivered as promised professionally and on time on Friday.

Unfortunately, over the weekend, a fault developed. I rang Smiths at 9.10 am on Monday. By 1.30 pm not only had someone come out to diagnose the problem but a new replacement chair had been delivered and installed. Please note `I live 14 miles from the showroom.

Frank was very knowledgeable on different makes of bed and the price was very competitive

We were welcomed to the store and explained our objective for the visit. We were shown various options along with different wood colours. We never felt under pressure and were allowed to make up our own decision. We revisited some items again before making up our mind. Placing the order was easy and delivery fitted our desires well.

Having initially visited Smiths furniture shop in late October, from the moment we arrived at the shop my wife and I felt we were looked after in a way that only a family run business knows how. My wife has disability issues and I was due to have an operation just prior to Christmas, Jamie Dalton who served us made every effort to ensure our chairs arrived prior to the Christmas holiday. The attention we received was excellent ensuring that we felt we hade made the right choice of furniture with regards to our needs. I will without doubt return to the Harrogate shop in the future and recommend Smiths to anyone looking to purchase new furniture.

Contacted Smiths regarding an extra height riser ring for a Himolla Mosel chair.

Christopher could not have been more helpful. He established the correct colour of wood (the Mosel can be manufactured in a variety of shades of wood) and size for my particular chair. He explained the timeline and costs involved in shipping the ring to Scotland once Smiths had received it. He made the ordering experience very simple and easy to understand.

All in all, excellent customer service. Even although I live in Scotland, I wouldn't hesitate to contact Christopher and Smiths again if I needed further help with my Himolla chair!

A wonderful store with a vast display of high quality furniture. Customers are valued by the courteous and knowledgeable staff. On this occasion we only went to purchase a Himolla recliner chair, the range was wide leading to some confusion on our part. Chris expertly guided us through the selection process, pointing out the models most suited to my body size. From a short list of two I made my selection on my preferred chair style.
Invaluable assistance, will return for future purchases of well discounted stock with free delivery.
