We went last week to choose a chair which would suit my husband, what a gorgeous shop with so much choice. Found a chair which was delivered this morning by too wonderful young men who had no trouble accessing our retirement apartment on the second floor.

We have just moved from York to Knaresborough.
This was our 1st visit to this store and it was a fantastic experience.
I phoned initially to enquire about a certain make of settee and spoke to a gentleman called Steve.
When we went to the store we were greeted by Steve and so glad we were.
He made us feel at home,left us alone to browse and decide which furniture we wanted,no pressure whatsoever.
Took some sample books home,returned a few hours later and purchased it off Steve.
If only other stores had staff like Steve!!!

For years I gave my custom to Smiths they stood out above ALL the rest. Then about six years ago, I went with my partner to furnish our flat. We walked round for approximately half an hour, nobody approached us, even though there were four staff standing all together talking about horse racing, not even Good Morning!! s we walked out, one of them said Can we help you? I said then I’d never go back into the store! Thank God I did last week. It was a pleasure to be served by a lovely young lady called Justine, she knew her stuff, pleasant, friendly and very helpful. And today, two very nice young men came to check sizes for sofa chairs etc I’m buying, They were so nice friendly and helpful. Thank goodness The Rink going back to how it was when Colin and Mr Smith himself were there VERY IMPRESSED Mrs E Leak

I'm always skeptical when I see fully 5 star ratings and bunches of reviews that they're fake, however I can say with confidence I absolutely believe Smiths of Harrogate are deserving of the 5 stars!

I purchased a new bed and bedside tables through their website, as after an internet search for the particular Ercol range I wanted, Smiths were the cheapest. I didn't know the company before so was nervous about spending so much online, but I can honestly say I'll be going here first for future purchases for our new first home.

They always answer the phone quickly, are local (I'm in York) and really cheerful and polite. Delivery was free, quick, and on time, and the two delivery men even put together the furniture quickly and took away all of the packaging. They were very professional and efficient.

Thank you Smiths, I will be back!

Clear communications regarding delivery and despite an accident when the item was delivered, what was most impressive was the way the team dealt with and resolved it, which illustrated a real desire to provide excellent customer service.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Smiths of Harrogate again and refer to family and friends.

Really good experience from start to finish. I had read lots of positive reviews about Smiths, and am really pleased we chose them for our new Amtico floor. The sales staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. The floor fitting is fantastic and done to an extremely high standard. Would highly recommend the team at Smiths!

The transport manager went over and above to get my delivery out to me when I wanted. The young men who delivered my items came on time and like the transport manager went above and beyond to build and place the furniture exactly where I required and throughout their attitude was positive and affirming. We know from past experience that Smiths (the rink) could deliver quality products and good service. so When we were looking to replace our old carpets we decided to return them. We found the service and advice we received excellent. When the time arrive for fitting. The fitters were prompt, friendly and efficient. Working none stop over the two days. They made an excellent job of fitting the new carpets, removing the old carpets and leaving the rooms nice and tidy. We highly recommend them.

Staff in store were very helpful and didn't apply any pressure to buy. The manager Frank went above and beyond to help and made our purchase a smooth transaction. Great communication, Would highly recommend.
