Ordered a book weeks ago. Same as every other review; the website is “down for maintenance ‘ , had an email with no delivery date between 8 and 11 am. I wouldn’t encourage anyone to use this site at all. Unfortunately people only realise after purchase that they are unprofessional and probably a scam. I’m going to get onto the bank and flag up their business with the fraud team because they now have our full card details.

Awful company! I ordered a book almost 3 weeks ago and receive an email in my junk folder to say this had been cancelled as it was out of stock, despite the book still being available to buy on the website. I then receive an email 5 days later stating the book was ready to be despatched on ... (no date included) and the delivery driver would call me 1 hour before delivery. Obviously I haven’t received the book or any communication from Smyths’s to let me know what is happening with this order and whether or not the money will be returned to my account so I can leave this mess and order it from elsewhere.

Would never use this company again or recommend anyone else uses them!!

I have ordered a book a few weeks ago and I am still waiting for it.
I haven't got any email at all.
Money was taken from my bank account and now the website is in maintenance.
This website looks a proper scam.

Don't trust this company!! Seems like this is happening to a lot of people despite the "outstanding" reviews they published on their website.

Ordered a book from them for next day delivery, when I checked on my order the status showed as cancelled emailed multiple times with no response ended up having to purchase the book from elsewhere. About a week and a half later I received an email saying my book was being dispatched and still haven't had anything since and no response to not one of my emails and no refund - I think this site is a scam and I would avoid it (this may have no correlation what so ever but a week after my order with them I had a fraud attempt on my account and this was the only site I had used out of the ordinary again this may not be related but seems suspicious seeing as as soon as you place an order it is cancelled and you can't get a response from anyone who actually works there)

I don't believe this is a genuine company. I made a purchase which was immediately cancelled. I received an email saying the item wasn't in stock and that I should try to purchase it again. The item was still online a few days later so I repurchased it. I didn't get any email notification and money wasn't taken from my card so I used a new card thinking the payment was a problem. This 3rd purchase was immediately cancelled. Several days later I received 2 emails saying my items had been dispatched but several parts of the emails were missing where tracking and other important information should have been. The 2 orders that were supposedly dispatched were the cancelled ones. Obviously, nothing has been delivered. The website, which has now been shut down, claims that they are the biggest booksellers...

Order #72260 placed almost 2 weeks ago, still not received, now website is 'down for maintenance'. No response to email. Looking likely this is a scam.

Ordered a book and paid , cancelled without my knowledge for reasons I don't know , emailed to ask why? And where is my refund? Not heard a thing. Don't buy a thing from the cowboys.
