Myself and my wife went through a bad patch in our life , we got into debt fell behind on payments and had poor credit history . After being rejected by high street lenders. After feeling defeated and feeling we had let our children down . we came across SN mortgages after a friendly chat on the phone with no judgment we managed to get a mortgage in principle within few days which eventually when on to be competed mortgage offer . And to get back on the property ladder and give our kids a great future . Steven and his wife work in a very professional manner with no judgment. We were ready to throw the towel in thinking we couldn’t get a Mortgage after bad advice from another broker, came across SN Mortgages after a quick Google and filled in their contact form as a last ditch attempt. Thank goodness I did call from Steven who treated us like human beings listening and fully understanding our needs sorted things out so quickly as we were on a tight schedule with a Right to Buy application. He answered emails and called us out of his work hours and even whilst he was on holiday going the extra mile to help, his wife Sue also went out of her way always available to help and answered all of my questions assuring me they weren’t silly as we really didn’t have a clue what we were doing as first time buyers. Then onto Aisha no waiting around for a reply to an email they were answered in minutes nothing was ever any trouble for her and she kept us fully up to date. All we can say is definitely give them a call we were very quickly written off by others but Steven and his team treated us with dignity and respect from the start and got us what we wanted as they were willing to put in the work and deserve every penny of their fee and we can’t thank them all enough so happy we found you 😊 Mortgage offer received very quickly after what we thought was impossible.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Sue and Steven. After I had credit difficulties in the past I never thought I would be able to own my own home buy with the kind help and advice from them we managed to secure a mortgage and have been in our home for over 6 months now.

Highly recommend!!! They have been a godsend. They went above and beyond to get us the mortgage we needed to purchase our property, where others wouldn't or couldn't help. Their fees may be a little higher than most but if that is what it takes to get the deal done, it was worth every penny. Amazing service from first point of contact! My initial contact with Steven Neale on the back of what I thought was probably a bit of a hopeless enquiry led to him sourcing me a mortgage, skilfully negotiating pitfalls and Steven and Sue working with me to collate the necessary information to progress to a submission. From there, Zoe Vango has been amazing, constantly keeping me updated and requesting information timely which has today led to a mortgage offer which at 60 yrs old, I had given up on! I only wish I had contacted them years ago! Thank you so much to all involved!

I contacted this broker to discuss my case. I had contact with another broker before hand who I was somewhat unhappy with. I followed up the conversation with an email. Steven then took it upon himself to copy the original broker into the email chain (without my consent). Exceptionally unprofessional behaviour!

We really struggled with obtaining a self employed mortgage and lost a house, time and money with a few others brokers. We were more or less broken and our mental health was certainly suffering.
Eventually we found Steven Neale, well, our only regret is that we’d found him a very long time ago.
Yes, Steven and Sue do charge a larger fee than most brokers and whilst I can see how this could be off putting at first for many (I for one, was one of those people!) please do not be fooled into thinking this isn’t worth it! We pick up the keys to our house today, something that seemed so out of reach months ago. We are in still in a state of disbelief to be honest. After much effort, Steven found us a mortgage that so many other brokers could not or would spend the time to do so. Steven and Sue worked extremely hard for their fee from us and they honestly made us feel like we were their only client. They answered their phones efficiently, returned our calls usually within minutes, answered emails swiftly, communicated with the mortgage lender efficiently and passed on the info to us immediately. There were many, many times that my husband would ring Steven out of normal office hours and he’d be there on the other end. Nothing was too much trouble, yes, they are charging a fee, however with what they did for us, over the months they worked for us, I would want to be paid that also and quite probably more! Other brokers we used that were charging less, wouldn’t even return our calls for days, sometimes not at all, we never felt they had our best interests at heart and that we were just another client running along many.
Steven and Sue deal with complex cases, there is A LOT of work involved, they are not taking advantage of people, I have to disagree with the previous review.
For us as self employed, trying to get a mortgage has been utterly hellish, the most stressful period in our lives to date. I can see from many, many forums online that this is the case for a lot of people. It is unfair how the self employed can be at times, treated by lenders. I will recommend Steven and Sue to everyone I know that is struggling. Please, please do not be put off by their fee, I promise you, they work harder than any broker we’ve ever known (and we’ve known a few!). In my opinion, they have done more than any conveyancing solicitor has done and nobody ever questions their fee, it’s just a given, so please bear this in mind!
Thank you again Steven and Sue, you have a business to be very proud of and thank you for the humility you have shown to us when we have been left feeling somewhat downtrodden to say the least, for the last year and a half.

Charging an obscene amount to help me and my wife find a mortgage - £2,000 when competitors are offering £500 as their broker fee. Taking advantage of those with bad credit by the looks of things!

A fantastic service provided by SN Mortgages once again. Highly recommend SN Mortgages, they have been brilliant at finding the best rates for us, keeping in regular communication and quite frankly achieving the impossible! Where other brokers fail to come back to us or could not find a deal, SN would always go the extra mile and revert back. Once the mortgage had been found, SN were tenacious and comprehensive in their approach in order to minimise the lenders queries and get the mortgage offer through in time for us to complete prior to the stamp duty relief cut off at the end of June - which they did, saving us thousands! Due to my adverse credit, my wife and I struggled to get a joint mortgage through our own bank and other high street lenders.

Prior to contacting Steve & Sue we had been bounced back by two mainstream brokers who had not taken the time to understand our financial circumstances fully. After previously being unsuccessful with an adverse lender through our previous broker, we had very little expectation that they would be able to help us. Steve not only found us a suitable lender, he also secured us a significantly better rate and term than we had been previously turned down for! Their level of detail and fact finding gave us the reassurance that they fully understood our circumstances and could convey this to the lenders. Our only regret was that we hadn’t contacted them first as we would have saved ourselves a lot of time and stress!

We had some fantastic feedback from the developer regarding the communications they received from Sue and Steve, and that helped alleviate some of their concerns when our reservation expired.
