I approached Alex after finding Mortgage Chain through one of his YouTube video guides, as I was honestly completely out of my depth and did not know the first thing to do when starting the process of buying my first home.

Alex made everything understandable in an engaging manner and answered all of the questions I had about the potential minefield that buying a property can become. Everything was dealt with quickly and explained in both detail and in a way I could understand.

Throughout the process of dealing with conveyancing we faced multiple issues, due to errors on the side of my seller’s solicitors. Alex and his team continuously went out of their way to ensure that all mortgage related matters were handled correctly, promptly and without issues. This also included personally contacting both conveyancers and estate agents, and helped to get the process moving.

There were multiple delays towards the end of the process regarding exchanging and completing, again due to errors caused by the seller’s solicitors. This meant that I had to complete on the day my mortgage offer came to expire, which fell through into the next day with no margin for error or delay. Naturally this was a cause of anxiety for anybody, however I have had a history of severe anxiety and what meant the most to me out of the whole experience is that after contacting Alex asking about what my options were he dropped everything. Mortgage Chain then did everything possible to ease my anxiety and help the process complete, whilst putting everything in place incase I couldn’t complete. Just the fact that they clearly care about their clients like family speaks volumes.

Without a shadow of doubt I will be contacting Alex when the time to remortgage comes up, as the level of professionalism demonstrated is not something easily found these days.

The best mortgage advisor that I had. He was able to tell from the beginning that there shouldn't be any problems with the mortgage application, and after 2-3 weeks, I received my application approval. I highly recommend.

I want to write my review starting with that i completed on my purchase in Aug 2024, but I didnt want to rush a review inorder to be as fair as possible. First here are the good parts, I loved the system Alex has created and the resources you can find from his website, the ability to book in appointments into his diary aswell it is all great for the client experience. Alex is very lovely, did well to listen to our needs.

The constructive parts - we had to go through 2 applications with Alex, there were parts were we found we had to re repeat e.g source of funds. I believe it would helpful to have some notes on a client profile which key elements to help remember key details when it comes to finding the right provider for them.

The reason for my 3 star review is we paid the highest fee of 2k to Alex and a couple of weeks later a high street lender gave a mortgage offer 1% less than the one Alex had recommended. This meant that we were saving £400 a month in our mortgage payments. Ultimately you to a mortgage broker so you can find the best deal for your situation and for us it meant that we lost a lot money rather than saved money.

Outstanding service from Alex, was in a sticky situation due to blemishes on my credit file, other advisors just tried to get me on any deal, where as Alex gave me advise on what to do be in a better situation which I’m grateful for and guided me through the whole process.

We were in an extremely tricky situation with our mortgage application due to the higher loan amount we wanted to borrow and the fact that both of us have second jobs. We had already applied twice, only to be rejected without any explanation, leaving us completely lost. To make matters worse, the previous mortgage brokers we worked with offered no help or guidance, and even after consulting several other brokers, no one could identify the reasons for our rejections—until we met Alex.

We've had a trickier situation than most when it's come to securing a mortgage because of being self employed, and we actually went through a couple of brokers before we found this one.

Alex has been great from start to finish - always having the time for our many questions being first time buyers and never giving up on our complicated case. We were beginning to think it just wasn't possible for us, but Mortgage Chain made it possible!

As a former bankrupt I doubted I could get a mortgage. I found Alex through his YouTube channel as that is where I find so many experts in their fields these days.

However, there were some issues: we were initially referred to a solicitor who didn't handle new builds, and the insurance follow-up was lacking. I had a great experience with Alex, we had an initial call where he told me I wasn’t ready and gave me the steps to take to be ready in a few months. I did all that and came back and he held my hands every step of the way. He was always a phone call or email away whenever I needed. When we had an undervaluation in the property, he got us through it and looked for another borrower. Eventually got us a discount on the property.
