Alex was absolutely fantastic to deal with again! I have dealt with him previously on other mortgage related situations and cannot recommend him highly enough.
Often these things can be tense and frustrating at times however Alex has always made me feel calm and at ease from start to finish of any deal. He is always honest, friendly and professional, a real help.

I would not recommend this company. Last year when I bought my house, the property agents who dealt with the house recommended them. The experience was not great; the principal advisor Alex, who apparently is the managing director of the company as well. He was very poor in communicating the progress, if I made any query he would not be very prompt in responding. It took a long time to get the documentation right. With lot of hiccups the deal somehow got completed.

This year I had to revise a buy to let mortgage for my other house. I though to give him another chance. The experience was even worse. Despite spending nearly 2 months, the advisor could not even complete the requisite paperwork promptly. The lender asked for some documents which I had already provided to him, but they were not provided with the application to the lender, hence underwriter delayed the processing. One day I got a letter from the bank that my application is closed. When I tried to contact the advisor he was away on holidays. I tried contacting his office, there was no response. I had to myself contact the lending bank to find out the matter and I was advised that the application was filed as a solo application instead of joint application hence it was closed. When I wrote a text message to the advisor about this, he send a very unpleasant and unprofessional reply making all kind of ridiculous and obscene remarks against me, as if he was in an in-abbreviated state of mind. He abused me for having contacted the lender myself. When I tried to contact his company to ask my case to be moved to another advisor and to make a complaint against him, I realized that there was no process in place for making any complaint as the receptionist could not provide me the names of any other higher person in the company. She said that she would get back to me after speaking to the other director about transferring my case to somebody else. Within minutes the next thing I get is a text message from the same advisor / director that he has dumped my case and not willing to work any further for me. After wasting 2 months I had to start from scratch and could not file another application with the same lender due to an existing application, which was neither closed by him nor the bank would deal with me directly due to a broker filed application.

I would never advise to work with this company. Very unprofessional.

Alex from Mortgage Chain was my mortgage advisor for the property I recently purchased. Being a non-UK resident with no UK citizenship and not owning a property anywhere made this case for every other broker impossible, but not for Alex. He went out of his way to find me a deal and guided me through the whole process - from discussing potential properties, getting in touch with the seller's agency and a solicitor to sorting out a competitive buildings insurance and advising on further steps. I am so happy I came across him and I hope this is just a first of the properties we worked on together. He never failed me, always replied and turned out to be a very trustworthy partner to work with. I would recommend him any time.

I have utilised the services of Alex 2/3 times. He is skillful in finding the best solutions and rates. He is also helpful and assists with administrative aspects of the process which he is not really obliged to do. This alleviates the burden in what can be a tedious process these days as lenders become more demanding. Thus far he is the best broker I have used.
