This has been a great experience
This has been a great experience. However, there are psychological set backs that I think need to be really emphasized. We live in a "Foodie" society and are bombarded with images everyday of food and how we are supposed to eat 3 meals a day, blah, blah, blah. In the beginning I was doing great, losing weight, gaining muscle and energy, detoxing from the fasting, etc. But then stress set in, anxiety from the news, war, work, family stress and my only go to is FOOD. So I fell off the food wagon 3 times in the last 6 months. It has set me back. I keep getting back on and trying again, with a mind set to NEVER give up. I didn't become a diabetic over night, going into complete remission is going to take time for me. I'm so not motivated to work out, not even go to walks after meals. I'm exhausted and don't get enough sleep as it is, so there's that. I'm not sure I find it encouraging to see others making their A1C goals in a matter of weeks or a few months. It's like, "why can't that be me?". My pancreas is giving me the middle finger everyday. I can hear it saying........."You abused me all these years, and now you just want me to roll over and heal........screw you!". Dr. Snouda's plan and this group of people have been awesome and I would not have gotten this far without any of you, so thank you. Think good thoughts and send them my way so I can stay the course and beat this horrible disease. Kelly. :)
