Sales service was easy and person was not pushy. Able to answer all questions and very helpful. Very experienced installers and very helpful. After sales service was a little underwhelming and difficult to get answers to some questions especially installation dates. System neat and tidy order 306783

Have called multiple times and emailed but have got no response at all. I was promised my refund over 2 months ago and still waiting. I would strongly caution anyone thinking about going with this company as once the sale is done you are unlikely to get any follow up or be able to contact anyone.
I will now need to get the authorities

Update 19 June 2026 since posting this review I have now received my refund. It should not have taken me threatening to go to authorities to get my refund back. Still have not received an apology or any response to my emails

Our battery stopped working over a month ago (14th of may), installed April 2024 under the Queensland Government Solar Battery Booster Scheme subsidy. Despite informing SBG immediately when the battery stopped working, the company SBG has done nothing substantive to address the situation in the past 6 weeks. Our monthly power bill has gone from $60 a month to over $200 a month.
In an email from their 'support' team, SBG has decided that our problem is between us and the manufacturer of the battery, effectively telling us that we will have to wait for the solar battery manufacturer to make good the battery rather than SBG addressing the problem themselves.
To me this seems like they are outsourcing the issue, we never, and I imagine the Queensland Government never, entered a contract with the battery manufacturer. We have a contract with SBG and they should accept responsibility for what they are selling.
Btw, calls to them can go unanswered as I have discovered.

The office has been asking money over and above the quoted among.

After repeated emails to their support personnel I have not been contacted in over 4 weeks. My system is still not working!
These guys just don't care.

It has now been a further two weeks and still no resolution!

A wise person once said that the secret of life is planting a tree that you will never live to eat the fruit from. That’s how at my age (1956 was a vintage year) I feel about my solar battery system, professionally installed by Solar Battery Group Feb 2026. My Goanna Batteries were replaced with a 40kw capacity and I decided to go for broke and include a battery backup system which has now been tried twice while Western Power ‘blacked’ us for 2 separate days whilst replacing poles in our area. 1x power and 1x light circuit flawlessly kicked in so lights & internet & telly, music were still available. The only issue is that it seems that the power inverter is powered only from the grid so no battery charging occurred during the blackout. (I still need to make enquiries in regard to this issue)
Very competent and friendly technicians made a the removal of the old batteries & installation seem easy. Most helpful to answer the many questions I had for them. The only hiccup was the fact that the toggle need to connect the system to the internet was not presently available so there was a delay whilst waiting for the component to arrive. On the topic of support, I did try and contact Solar Group on a few occasions to find out when I could expect the component to arrive and found that I always seemed to get a ‘busy’ notification. To their credit though, I always received a call back to answer my enquiries.
Performance?? Installed at the end of Summer (no clouds in sight) so batteries quickly charged to 100 % with self-sufficiency in the very high 90’s … Now June and Winter is setting in. Batteries with a break in the weather are presently getting up to the mid 30’s and back to the 20’s in the morning. Presently. depending mostly from the grid. Not until the system runs for a year or so can I fully assess the benefits over whole seasons of weather. We will see?? but overall the system seems robust and user friendly. I hope this helps. The team at Solar battery are very professional and the service exceptional.
Technicians who installed the baterry were very polite and cleaned up after themselves.

The solar panel / installing team were on time, a quick and efficient installation of system. Very polite at all times.

Everything was great with the service and process

Overall engagement was good, easy with a fair quote. All the questions I had were answered quickly and the process was easy. The product is of a high quality. The installation has been working well and the contractors who installed the system were very courteous, timely and left the place clean.

The installers did an excellent job extending the connections across the front of our heritage home. The new wiring was very well hidden from view. The workers arrived on time and cleaned up well

The system was installed (321367) and worked for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks the system stopped exporting power to the grid and stared using power from the grid even thought there was plenty of battery capacity. I have been in contact with Synergy, Western Power and Solar Battery Group and it has become a blame game. I arranged for Solar Battery Group to talk to Synergy direct but have had no feedback for over 2 weeks. I have sent various emails to Solar Battery Group and they have not responded. Not impressed.

This company is a sham. Flyers sent out with a system cost, but not included required legislative checks, so price went up immediately. Order placed, can not contact company again. No reply to phone calls or E mails. Rang from different phone no and got through. Told can not install for months. Order cancelled, can no longer contact company via phone, no reply to E mail and no refund. Be very very careful.
Issue resolved, deposit returned.

I'd like to say at the outset, my background of 50+ years is as a Tradesman (3 different trades), two of those, a Qualified Electrician and an Electrical Fitter.
I have extensive experience with Solar and batteries of varying technologies.
I've been dealing with the Solar Battery group for more than 4 years. My first battery, was installed by them, subsequently upgraded to a larger capacity twice, and the second full installation was to a bigger capacity and different brand (Dec 2025).
On all of those occasions the process has been smooth and trouble free.
The sales team have been excellent, the technical backup guys are spot on and the installer (the same guy every time), is a great guy whose workmanship is what I would expect from a qualified Tradie, absolutely first class.
I recommend if you are starting out or upgrading, talk to the Solar Battery Group, my experience with them has been nothing short of excellent.
