We chose solar star power for our solar Tesla battery installation after a recommendation.
The installation team, Dave and Ben, were absolutely fantastic with nothing being too much trouble. A special mention for Tony who also came over for a day when he should have been on holiday to make sure the job was done on time.
They exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend Solar star.

We had the lot by that I mean 12 solar panels, water heater Tesla battery plus car charger.
I asked every question that came in to my head about each product and received answers for eveythig with no pressure at all.
Installation was smooth clean and quick.
If anyone is thinking about solar, this company are the one.
This is a genuine review and I would gladly talk to anyone personally .

After months of of research and speaking with David we knew that solarstar were the company for us, and they did not disappoint. All the teams from scaffold to panels fitters to electricians, all went smoothly very friendly and efficient service

I would just like to tell you how pleased I was with the 3 members of Solar Star Power who came to fit my battery yesterday.
Dave, Tony and Ben worked so hard and the standard of their work was way above anything I have seen for a long time, despite the heat they all worked tirelessly, I would have no problem telling anyone that I know who was thinking of getting a battery to use your company.
If you could pass on my thanks to the entire team it would be appreciated.

Solar Star Power fitted a Tesla powerwall for me. The installation was very neat. Dave and Tony were helpful (my constant questions) and efficient. I'll definitely go back to them and recommend them to others.

There were a couple of communications that didn't get immediate replies during the process but understandable considering the huge influx in demand for renewables in the current climate.

I have purposefully waited a couple of years before writing a review of Solar Star Power.
Many companies seem to do a good job initially and then problems show later on.
I am happy to report that was not the case.
David was friendly, knowledgeable and we had a very interesting exchange of ideas before settling on a 9.6kWp system with two Tesla Powerwalls.
The installation was meant to take two days but the team were great and did it all in one. The system was installed in a tidy and professional-looking way, all the rubbish was taken away.
The documentation folder was thorough and had all the required certificates and included the Part P for the Powerwall installation.
There is even insurance in case the company ceases trading during the warranty period.

I have since requested Solar Star Power to expand my system by installing two more Powerwalls. It took a long time to get them (due to supply constraints) but they honoured their original quote and the installation was meticulous and looks great.

I always had a reply from David to my emails and text messages and found the team to be approachable and pleasant.

I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone (and have, actually, to quite a few friends).

We had to wait quite a long time before our Tesla battery arrived, but now it is in place we are very pleased with it. We are now able to maximise the use of the power we make from our solar panels and our consumption from the grid has fallen dramatically. The two men who came to fit the battery did everything we asked for, nothing we too much trouble. They both worked very hard, it was a struggle to get them to drink a cup of tea!

We did a lot of research about solar panels and then contacted many companies (over 10) to ask for a quote. It was amazing the amount of differing and conflicting advice we were given; and none of them mentioned the shading on the roof which we knew would be a problem and require optimisers to combat. The size of the system we were told we would be able to have was different, as were the prices. All required a large deposit, in some cases 60%, and some wanted a deposit before they would come out to survey. After discounting them all for a variety of reasons ranging from an uneasy gut feeling, a lack of solidity when checking them out on Companies House to reviews and feedback on Facebook and Trustpilot, we looked locally and approached Solarstar Power. What a difference! We were given honest advice about our odd shaped, partially shaded roof and then a system was designed that made the best use of it. No deposit, no money upfront, no fuss, no hard sell. We had to wait 4 months for it to be fitted but it was worth it. Everything went according to plan, no delays or holdups, no fuss, super installers and a fully working system that looks good and does exactly what it was designed to do. Brilliant!

I have had a great experience from the admin Staff Fiona, Karen & Helen, and the fit out of the 10x Solar panels and Solax 5.8KWH battery by the installers was spot on. Neat, tidy and friendly.

I am now paying a 1/4 of what I was on electricity after only 3 weeks, with the weather improving and lighter days this im sure will only get better and reduce further.

If you are looking for a reliable team solar power star get my vote. More than happy with the product.

I've been really impressed with SolarStar who have fitted solar panels ( ground mounted) and batteries for us.
The communication has been good and what I like is that they've done everything they said they would.
They are all extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional - I'd definitely recommend them.

Excellent service from start to finish which was 10 months due to Tesla struggling to deliver Powerwall 2 batteries to the UK.
Even last summer with just panels I was getting Bills around £35 per month including gas from my supplier.
Now fully up and running with battery and gateway and moved my supply to Octopus after my 2 year tariff ended February 2023, more than happy with figures showing on smart meter.
The black panels on back facing 150 SE and further 8 on front ensure I get maximum hours of sun .
Battery fitter Tom was so experienced and excellent at explaining everything.

We had solar panels installed back in 2020. I was really pleased with my choice of installer as they appear to be a local company. At the start they were friendly helpful and seemed professional. Throughout the quotations and installation process we discussed the options of increasing or relocating as required at a later date should we feel if beneficial. We were always given the clear impression that this could always be a possibility and looked at if required.
However, I’ve spent what I believe is more than a year trying to communicate and investigate this option with this company. They have been dismissive and difficult to reach. They have basically washed their hands of me as it would appear the job was done! I have little to no confidence that they would actually full feel any warranty obligations. They do not appear to follow up any questions I’ve raised about this option. Each time I’ve managed to contact them and enter into a discussion about additional panels, they just find excuses about not wanting to explore these options.
Personally, I actually regret offering my business to a local company such as solar star power. I truly wish I’d actually picked a more reliable company. Shame, as at the time they appeared so friendly and helpful.

Two stars only. They are technically competent and good installers. The negative is their back office paperwork and response to queries. All I can say is it's verging on the incompetent. I had a double install put in April last year. Because of their paperwork errors I am unable to register my system so am exporting electric to grid and not received a penny yet. Not what I expected from a large capital investment. In addition I ordered two Tesla batteries from them in April. I got one, the other one? Nothing and no updates from this company. I would seriously find another co if you aspire to put in a solar system with export. Frankly I regret contacting them. I also regret recommending others to use them, the first of these has had issues too. The basic fault is their back office and support. It's virtually non existant. Great if your system is simple but if it goes wrong in any way, expect a long wait for service.

Very professional company to deal with. Prompt response to all emails (thank you Fiona!). Mark, who came out for the site survey was very knowledgable and helpful. Definitely worth considering!

PS: don’t bother with national company Project Solar UK, their salesman wasted three hours of my life and then never bothered following up with a quote or correspondence! My advice, go local!

Let down very badly by this firm who installed solar panels in the summer for me but then never fulfilled the battery install - dates arranged for this which were never met - no communication - very unprofessional customer relations - all they could ever say was "Ooh I don't know!" messed about, fobbed off and lied to over and over - clearly having supply issues - AVOID!!

Placed order for Tesla charger installation some four weeks later still chasing our installation after several unkept appointments. Would not recommend

I couldn't recommend them enough, They were amazing from start to finish and did everything they could to get me up and running as quick as possible. All the guys that turned up were totally professional and made sure i was aware of everything going on and at what stage they were at before leaving for the day.

Very disappointing experience.
Contacted SolarStar for a quote, which they did comeback with £9.5k and invited to ask questions and book site visit.
Did ask Karen questions via email and rang to book site visit never heard back from them again, no with answers to email or visit arrangement!
I guess it is very selected customers they actually provide service to.
