Terrible terrible service
Terrible service. Topped up $10 to buy 8hrs extra data, finally got to site and without doing anything except go to spark app, had used 3 dollars. Brought 4hrs for 6 dollars... confirmed 4hrs data max speed. Then it was 7mins before i could go online!!
Rung 0800 number to complain, spark tells me i have no credit to make call and hangs up. I am done.
Hahah if the man was closer…
Hahah if the man was closer…. Nah it’s not great at all honestly, girl in store made it out cheaper but when all the great discounts were done, I felt scammed and heavily charged, now I have BAD credit and even when I did call—the guy SIGHHHHHED SO LOUDLY WITH ME WANTING FURTHER CONFIRMATION ON MY BILL OVERVIEW, if ur company is shit— customer service is shit then maybe it’s time for a change: in all departments!!! I’ve just cancelled my account after 2-3montns and yes I did do my research before signing up and they appeared credible ATM until u sign up. Heaps of account and emailing issues as in nothing came through unless it was overdue. Charged for early disconnection of mobile and broadband and he even tried to offer more shitty and pointless discounts—as if that is going to pay for my already heavy amounts of overdue— MIND YOU MY BUDGET AS A UNI STUDENT WAS ONLY $60 something— I’m currently having to pay back $431.85+ like wtf!!!! Emailed them about my log in problems, no response, no help no nothing just long waiting times with no option then to cancel. Anyways not a happy customer and don’t recommend in future.
Kept Charging even after cancelling
We changed over our spark internet usage to another provider. And they kept charging us for another 2 months without us knowing. Now refusing to waive the extra billing saying it was our fault and they never got notice? Terrible excuses going back and forth. Unwilling to be helpful or find a resolution. Completely stressed and angry about this whole situation. Never use them
Spark nz 1star at the least
Spark nz 1star at the least. Keeps charging me monthly bills and im noteven registered with them anymore because i had too many unsolved problems left too long. I paid a bill off squared everything up and then closed my account only to have been sent another bill. Poor customer service and wait time ober the phone is ridiculous.
I’ve had no internet for almost 4…
I’ve had no internet for almost 4 weeks. Chorus have said it’s a Spark issue and each time Spark does the same thing lodging it with Chorus. I can’t believe how bad the service and accountability for Spark is with protocols to resolve issues are. Shame a long standing NZ company has lost its credibility. I wanted to stay with them after 15+ years as a customer but really it’s astonishing the terrible service & hampster wheel they put you on as a customer without support. Beyond ridiculous
Total scams
Total scams, I paid for the 48 hour unlimited data plan but the internet kept cutting off
Do not use spark..Absolutely disgraceful customer support
Tech team go in circle and don't actually know what they are talking about, been lied to 3 times about when it would be connected each time waiting hour after time specified then ringing for an update went from 2pm to 5pm then from 5pm to 6.25pm well it's now 9.30pm and they have done nothing not to mention the wireless via SIM card is terrible
Service? Correct Information?
I got on here to read as WAS going to swap from ONE NZ. Well after reading I think i'd be jumping into the fire again. Who is a good provider when problems arise?? Where did you all go or to whom?
Running a business? Consider alternate mobile service
Calls drop on arterial routes in Auckland. If you run a business and travel a lot, expect this sub par service.
If travelling on SH1- southern motorway- expect the call to be dropped if you’re on hands free
Remuera Rd arterial routes for SH1- Eastern Bays
Too big to care
Too big to care. An extra star because customer service was polite
Be careful of these guys
Be careful of these guys, they do not assist, and their account management is terrible. You are welcome to look at the speedtest dot net result (18370303090) for my Max Fibre connection. When you pay for 815MBS download, and the fastest you record during your three month contract is 23MBPS, then there is a problem with the provider. At least my previous provider had peaks of 700MBPS and never really dropped under 100MBPS.
It took two months of hassle just to link the product I added from my account, to my account.
As one of the biggest service providers in our country, this level of incompetence is really unacceptable. I think companies like these give the service industry a bad name.
Help with Wifi issues!
Had a Women called Elvie help me today.
She stayed on the phone with me for about 1.5 hours helping me with an issue with my Wifi.
I really appreciated the time and patience she took with me.
In the end we figured out the issue and she sent me two free items to help fix the problem.
Cheers Elvie!
We need more friendly people like you x
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Smart Spark modem that has been disconnected for a couple of months whilst we moved house. Been dealing with Spark call centre for over 24hrs and they have taken my nz driving licence number, passport details and Permanent residency details and still cannot accept proof of rights to be in nz.
I already have the sim and modem and just need it to be reconnect. So much hassle for something so insignificant.
Literally use any other company! Not Spark!
Prepaid packs are a joke, plus you can only top up starting from 10$. I made the mistake of topping up and purchasing a value pack then sent a text thinking oh surely enough time has passed for it to have processed. Then spark said I had low funds. I was off by 20 cents from a 21$ values pack that I had purchased that morning. WHAT A JOKE, This company also charges double on occasions, with absolutely ZERO help, their “help questions” makes you go in circles with no actual help or solution. Can never get a refund which is theft when it’s a double charge, but what can you expect from a company like that especially considering the type of people that work there. Absolute garbage company and people.
I have tried calling 10 plus times to…
I have tried calling 10 plus times to sort my spark bill, call the number and get hung up on every single time! Don’t have a customer service line if you have no customer service will absolutely never use spark for anything again absolutely atrocious service.
Moving home
While trying to transfer my broadband online on the first attempt it said it would be disconnected 3 days before moving date and could take 3-7 days to be connected at new home.
Tried again at a later date and didn’t realise you had to give 10 days notice of moving date so I was going to be at new house with no broadband.
On connection date I had to msg via app back and forth for 7 hours to not even be connected, they couldn’t find my moving order connected to my account even though I had email confirmation of my moving order.
Ended up ringing and the man on the phone said it would take up to an hour to be connected again.
3 hours later still know connection. Finally next day it was connected.
A lot of hassle just to move my broadband to another house, customer service was poor when insinuating I hadn’t placed the moving order.
Moving home is time consuming and stressful enough, the online system for moving house seems to need fixing.
And the service via chat on the spark app was extremely frustrating.
Paying for max fibre and speeds drop…
Paying for max fibre and speeds drop below 30 or so slow every nite that you can’t watch the news. Tried engaging with Spark but no solution with them saying can’t guarantee speed ( so why charge for high speed max ?) suggest other providers must be better
Worst service in a long time
We got hit with a price increase 2 months into a 12 month contract, basically got told to swallow it up or leave! Package included McAfee and Netflix. The irritation is we keep getting these horrid AI bot generated replies to emails. Now moving everything away from them to a different provider, including phones. Also have to sign up to Netflix again, and find a new security package, after 2 months. They'll never see me again.
Terrible provider
Terrible provider
Been with Spark for more than 10 years and had no customer service. Required notice even though I did but still charged me.
Rip off ! There is so many good providers with better price than Spark!
