This company requires you to confirm the appt you already booked within 24 hours but they won’t tell you confirming is required until 2 hours before they need the confirmation. They cancelled my appt and I have an event at my home tomorrow. I can’t believe a company would cancel last minute like this. We had a whole back and forth conversation and already confirmed the appt when we made it last week. I have a newborn baby and don’t have time to be checking my texts multiple times a day. They sent me a text yesterday morning letting me know that they require confirmation within 24 hours. This was 2 hours before the 24 hour mark. They basically set me up to fail with that one. Pretty much every business sends confirmation or reminder texts and emails but I’ve never had to confirm an appt I already scheduled.

I only wish I had read these reviews…

I only wish I had read these reviews before wasting my money with this company. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.
I had booked in to get our 2 year old 3 seater sofa cleaned.
The person that showed up did not speak and did not seem professional. We were charged $350!!! No invoice given just transfer via EFT into this account.... Dodgy??. For this cost I expected the couch to look pretty good. In fact it looked worse. Streaks everywhere.
I contacted the company the next day to express my disappointed with the job that was completed. I also sent through photos of how poor the couch looked. I requested that we had a different person come and redo the couch.
There was no urgency to the complaint and after I chased them. They said they spoke to the cleaner and he said there was stubborn stains. However this was not expressed on the day. And as I said why streaks?
As that was the cleaners response they then advised they do not give any guarantees and therefore will not be offering any revisit!!

I have had couches and mattresses cleaned in the past. And I understand what the results should be. This is absolutely disgusting service and $350 for a 3 seater couch would be the most expensive price I have ever paid.
Do not use this company!

A better result can b obtained without the ridiculous car

Kim doesn't have her act together at all!! Gets clients addresses wrong, fails to stay with plan and is inconsistent. Chops and changes her mind. Way over priced.
Has workers wearing double layers during hot and humid weather with no fans or air-con. Long tights, collared work shirt and thigh length tunic over the top of all that
She is a very average cleaner who only has a pretty pink uniform and pink car going for her. Clients are blinded by her overheads and high prices. Clients can get a much better job done through another cleaner with little or no overheads and delivers greater results.
I noticed her workers do not enjoy working for her, by observing their facial expressions and body language. I recommend doing some searching on the internet or by phone for better cleaners with reasonable and acceptable rates. DO NOT PAY FOR PRETENTIOUS OVERHEADS

They are the most dodgy company I have ever come across!
Ruined my mattress after I had it cleaned! Mick was rude, Shane was disgusting swearing through the phone saying you will not be getting a refund! Made up stories as they went. The ABN is not even for this company - it’s under a completely different name! Protrude humans!

Expensive but good job

I contacted Sparkling Cleaning Services through the internet to clean our stained blinds. Originally I was going to get the company to clean 14 blinds in our house, but they were so expensive that I got them to clean 3 out of 14 blinds.
The company who got back to me, and did the actual job, was called Marks Maintenance Services.
While they did a good job of removing the stains from the blinds, I felt that they were way overpriced ($330) for a job that took 50 minutes.
Would I use them again, I don't think so give the excessive price charged by Marks Maintenance
I suspect that Sparkling Cleaning Services contract Marks Maintenance Services to do their work.
Services.
3 stars for the job and 1 star for the price.

dubious charging - different state, same company

I got my carpets cleaned today 10/3/20 through Sparkling Cleaning Services. I live in WA. SK Cleaning Services is what it says on my bank statement. And searches regarding both names bring up the same problems in reviews. Appears to be the same company but with different names in different places, also utilizing sub-contractors and using misleading quoting.

The job was fine, the reason they get 2 stars, however be prepared that the quote they give you on the phone is an “estimate,” even if they don’t say so. Because of that when you invoice is more than you expect it is because extra care was taken because of the condition of the carpets, or that they add the gst after the fact. None of this is the fault of the person that did the work but the business itself how have it organised this way. As a customer you feel swindled. The gay should be included in any quote. And if extra care is to be needed then that should be stated before work is done or before that extra care is taken. They also apparently didn’t include the rug I asked for in the initial quote on the phone. If using them or “marks maintenance services” (which is what the invoice actually says) then get your quotes upfront and stick to them. You can’t just add gst after quoting. Stick to your guns and they’ll charge what you were quoted. But very shoddy. Shan’t use again.

Brilliant job

Due to pet damage, the team had the daunting task of repairing many separate patches. when the team come to carpet repair and is genuinely keen to ensure the best outcome for the customer. they did a brilliant job and I have no hesitation in recommending them and would use them again.

No Ethics, dishonest, terrible customer service

If I could give this company a 'no star' review I would.
I hired Sparkling Cleaning services online to clean an L shaped chaise lounge and 2 medium rugs (approx. 1.5m x 2m each). Although the person online was friendly and professional sounding, our experience with the person who actually came, and afterwards when we complained was appalling! The person who came wasn't even 'Sparkling Cleaning Services' - it was Marks domestic cleaning or some similar name. The man who came, dealt with my 21-year-old daughter and knew that she was paying using my credit card, on our behalf as we were at work. I asked for a quote the night before this person came and was told that the cost would be around $36 per chair and $40 for each rug. Even with the lounge being assumed to be as large as 4-5 seats, my expectation was that the cost would be $250 maximum.
The man who came had such a bad verbal ability with the English language, my daughter couldn't understand him.
He took over the power in the cleaning job and started up-selling various services (so I found out later), but she couldn't understand what he was saying and didn't know how to handle it. She did agree to an anti-bacterial clean of some sort but had no idea of the cost because he did not tell her in any way that she understood. He then proceeded to apply scotch guard to the lounge (he did not obtain approval to do this and she had no idea what it was). At the end he presented her with an un-itemised invoice for $600. She tried to call me as she was shocked at the price but wasn't successful as I was working. He then pressured her into making the credit card payment saying he had to go straight away.
When I found out the cost, I was shocked. I called the contractor and demanded answers – his English was so bad that I actually couldn’t understand what he was saying. I called the company to complain and eventually reached the person who called himself the manager. His level of English was quite bad also, but I understood enough of what he was saying to know that he didn't care that I was appalled at the cost and contested it. He claimed that his cleaning contractor clearly outlined cleaning treatments and costs. This is totally untrue. He said that it was my word against the contractor and he essentially said 'go your hardest' when I said I would be contesting the credit card payment claim and making a complaint through QTAC. He simply didn't care. His ethics and that of his contractor were the lowest and most shocking I've ever seen. I am beyond angry! I will never ever deal with this company again.

They came to clean my lounge suite

They came to clean my lounge suite. I asked the cleaners if they were sure they had the appropriate training and qualifications to clean an antique velvet Lounge suite, they assured me they had....Well, not so, they sort of cleaned, the lounge suite was only lightly soiled, but they didnt manage to clean it properly, then they told me the "scotchgard" was in the cleaning solution...I had to ring the company to get them to scotchgard AFTER cleaning...Then they assured me the "stripes" would disappear when the upholstery dried, but bone dry and I wiped with a cloth as they instructed, to no avail, the fabric is now discoloured in stripes! they ruined my lounge suite, but they dont want to know, I will have to go through consumer affairs for compensation

Terrible Service

Terrible Service. Quoted us $130 over the phone after seeing a photo and clearly knowing couch size. Then proceeded to charge an extra $12 per seat (totalling $190) after the job for the seat cushions. I'm pretty sure most couches have seats??

Then after the job, which included a steam clean only, the couch smelled far worse then it had before. And the room was actually smelly as a result. We then rung them at least 5 times over 2 weeks with false promises of a call back and resolution. We then fixed the problem ourselves with a basic upholstery cleaner. An absolute joke. We will never use cleaning services again if it really is that simple and they charge $190 for a half hour job with no cleaning products except a steamer!
