The engineer attended on three occasions and weren’t able to find the source of the leak. I incurred over £1500 in leak detection costs in the end without any clear evidence on where the source of the leak could be and had to get another leak detection company out in the end who found it in one appointment. The details of the report they provided were also suboptimal and not thorough enough. I suggested a partial refund given how bad my experience was but was faced with gaslighting behaviour from the owner. I do not recommend their services. You will be far better off to get a more professional company to do leak detection.

Called in to find a leak in the central heating - boiler losing pressure constantly.
The engineer visited - checked the ground floor radiators. the report did not include details of any checks on the other floors. They recommended a power-flush before gas testing. The quite for power flush was £1600.
We got some other quotes for a power flush - they were all around the £600 mark.
Around this time we identified the leak ourselves - there was evidence on the ceiling of a ground floor room. I'm not sure how this was missed but I would have expected specialists to pick this up pretty easily (owing to heat & damp).
Overall, disappointing and almost more costly than needed. Very pleasant admin people but let down by the end product. Shop around & read the reviews.
Update
Following my posting of this - the company contacted me and offered a partial reimbursement which was dependent on if I would amend or remove the review. I declined their offer .

Arrived on Time and carried out a very thorough check on all systems and fault was quickly found and repair was executed very professionally. Tyler is an exceptional leak detection engineer. Great job and great service.
Excellent service from Specialist Leak Detection. We had a leak from central heating on coldest day of the year. I phones the team at 6pm on a Friday and Tyler was with us at 8am the next morning.
Tyler was excellent in his approach and very reassuring. He worked hard to detect the leak, uncovered the area and fixed it with minimum fuss. He then spent a long time getting our central heating system working again. He was excellent throughout and communicated everything that he was doing clearly. We felt like we were in safe hands.
The report came through in a timely manner and has proved very useful in helping our insurers to manage the claim.
I cannot recommend this firm highly enough

We had pressure dropping in the airing cupboard and I was sure there was a slow leak in our office as I’d already checked rooms myself. Before booking I explained to the company we had suspended flooring and a hardwood floor in that room specific room. Tyler was sent out and to cut a long story short we handed over £500 and due to it being a suspended floor and hardwood floor on top he couldn’t effectively check that room but told us there was no leak coming from any other rooms which I already knew. I was not amused and so he said it could be a TRV in the airing cupboard and so I paid a further £150 and have got that changed and it isn’t the TRV as the pressure is still dropping so the moral of that story is if you have hardwood floor, suspended flooring or the pressure is only dropping marginally but consistently don’t call this company. To be honest don’t call this company full stop as it achieved absolutely nothing other than a dent in my bank balance.
Mr Mohammed Noor – Director of Specialist Leak Detection – will be unhappy with this review. At the outset I advised I would be pursuing my claim for a refund as per SLD website - “If we don’t find it, we won’t charge it” - through the small claims court and also I would be leaving a negative review on Trust Pilot.
I recently attended Slough County Court for my claim for breach of contract against Specialist Leak Detection, which was defended by Mohammed Jabar Noor, Director. SLD were unable to indicate where our property leak was and recommended various actions to be taken to allow them additional testing techniques (at another full call out fee and no guarantee of finding anything). We employed a local plumber who found the leak area and subsequently traced and repaired a leaking toilet cistern.
Having both given evidence, the Judge ruled in my favour and I was awarded a full refund, plus interest and costs to be paid within 14 days. This was not forthcoming so I sent a chase up email reminding SLD of the details of the Order. Mr Noor arranged payment in the full amount the following day.
This process has taken nearly a year to conclude. In my opinion, this should never have gone to court – SLD should have been honest and fair about promises and obligations according to the bold statements on their website.
Useless - advised the wrong location and depth for a water leak trace. Unwilling to discuss any kind of refund despite providing worthless advice. Whoever writes their emails didn't spend long at school as they are so full of spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes my 8 year old granddaughter would do better. Don't waste your time and money.
Our engineer Tyler was absolutely brilliant. He identified the leak quickly and explained everything to us as he went. We felt we understood our options and he efficiently repaired the leak and made sure our home was back to normal afterwards. We cannot thank Tyler enough for the excellent and professional service. Thank you also to the office staff who were quick in arranging our visit.
Ignore the 'strap line' and carefully read the small print T&C particularly para 7.1 for the criteria for 'successful detection' and membranes. Otherwise like us you'll be paying £475 plus VAT to be told you have a 'leak', which we told them at the outset. We suggested a partial refund but have been informed the circumstances were 'beyond their control'. Employees polite enough but not quite the 'advanced experts' as the website suggests.
Tyler was helpful from start to end. He explained everything clearly.
Excellent service from the Specialist Leak Detection company. Was able to get an appointment within a few days and the booking process was really easy. The engineer was extremely friendly and professional and sourced the leak issue quickly and efficiently. He was also able to provide insurance advice which was really helpful. Would highly recommend!
No complaints, on time, on budget, Highly recommend 👍🏻
The company were able to attend quickly and efficiently. They explained to myself, tenants and neighbour the work information.. Sent me photos and neighbour and tenants as well. Quite expensive for me but so far all good and worth the cost if all fixed.
I have given 5 stars as I found the customer service very good. I made contact via the Internet late at night & got an email the next morning (from Victoria) explaining the booking process & scope of work. I booked an appointment for a leak search, but after continuing to look myself, luckily I think I have found the leak. I was able to cancel my booked appointment with ease. Should I be wrong and my leak still be hidden I will certainly get back in touch & rebook a visit so a thorough search can be carried out.
Couldn’t recommend these guys more. Very professional, quick to respond, on time, isolated the leak. Wasn’t sure whether to use them to resolve it too but glad I did. They knew exactly what they were doing on the excavation and gave great advice to prevent us sealing up without drying out first. Victoria in the office is polite and clear.
