would not work properly after auto-update

First of all it never would remove the severe Trojan I got on my pc, only identified it, I had to pay for another program to get it removed...
I had used Speedy PC for almost 2 years. I didn't have any functional problems with the product until right before I renewed my subscription for the 2nd time. One week before my subscription ran out I received an auto-update, I installed it, this is when the problems began, my spyware protection/scan quit working, I paid for the renewal and it still didn't work. I contacted the company and they suggested some things to fix it that didn't work. Then they wanted remote access to my pc to see if they could fix the problem, I told them I didn't want this, so I cancelled my subscription.

We regret to hear that you cancelled your subscription with SpeedyPC Pro because of an unsatisfactory experience.

Please note that SpeedyPC Pro is not an antivirus program, therefore it is not designed to remove Trojans. While the program can remove certain types of malware, we do always recommend using it in conjunction with a full antivirus suite that scans in real time to catch malware like viruses and Trojans.

In regards to the issues after the update, this is not something we encounter frequently. In situations such as these it can often be useful for one of our senior technicians to remotely access our program files on your system to determine what happened.

Blue screens

Never received my $10.00 rebate

Took one star away because of some technicality that i would not receive the $10.00 rebate after sent back the coupon form. It was not worth spinning my wheels again.

Computer Healthy!

Speedy Pro has been protecting my computer for quite a few years now and I have never had any problems with viruses or malware. Keep up the good work Speedy Pro! Just one thing though, is there anyway you can speed up the process of getting the $10 rebate? Last time I had to send a follow up letter reminding them that I purchased the product months ago and had not yet received the rebate. Thanks much.

They will cheat you out of your rebate.

I can't tell you how well the program works. I can tell you that after dancing thru hoops, doing everything possible, my rebate for resigning is not going to happen. And there is no way to reach these clowns, so my assumption is that if there is a problem with the software, you are stuck.
A simple rebate (promised on their renewal promo), and all they can do is cheat you. So I don't hold much promise for them. They are dishonest and unreliable as well as not reachable if you need help. There are many other competitors out there...check them out.
