I gave Spinnup the best dance song in all of Existence AND I did not win the bangers challenge. I did submit it correctly and at the correct date.
I've had trouble with them not accepting my tracks and calling them 'Snippets'. I've been told if I want to improve my released music, then I have to cancel the subscription and pay again. I will ALWAYS update my music, if I can think of a way to make it better. My music is NEVER frozen in time.
Not to mention, they raised their album price by 100%. No, you do not get sales on Spinnup. We get sucked into it because we think we want to be signed up by Universal.
If Spinnup is a Representative of Universal, and my music is judged by popularity, sales and not how good, original and unique my music actually is,
Then I probably don't want to be signed up by Universal.
Does what it's supposed to and nothing more
The site itself is easy to use and does what it's supposed to. My problem with it is that there's no way to contact support if you have a question that doesn't fall within their FAQ. This makes the site seem cold and like it doesn't appreciate its users. I'll be moving back to what I used to use because they do the same thing but with actual support.

Worst f****** customer service ever.
AVOID AVOID AVOID
I was excited to use this service after all the back on forth on the cover photo I thought it must be good but
1) they haven’t sent the track to everywhere they said they would. For example it’s not on Beatport but their site says if you say your track is dance or electronic then it’ll go there.
2) they don’t provide a list of where they sent it to - only 4 stores are showing which is really poor for a distribution service.
3) It was my first release and Spotify can’t find the release to set up my Spotify for artists account. I can’t claim a profile if they haven’t set one up for me. The sign up process said they would do that for me.
4) it was on YouTube for a day and now it’s disappeared!!
5) you can’t actually get in touch with them because THEY DON’T PROVIDE CONTACT DETAILS!! I found an old email to try and get in touch and I got an automated response saying they don’t answer this email box look at our website for help (where you will find absolutely no help!)
So basically my experience of using Spinnup has been terrible. DO NOT USE!!!

I planned my release on Friday, however they released it on Saturday, they messed up my release. Also there is ZERO support, it's not possible to get any answer from them.
Worst distributor on the market
Terrible, just terrible... they changed my release date out of nowhere and created so much hassle for me. They also provide a very limited service compared to other distributors. On top of this, it’s ridiculously expensive. By far the worst distributor on the market

I do not get these comments. Spinnup are doing more for indie artists Free then any other distribution.
They sign acts to UMG, run competitions free, put IG posts out about artists they like, add you to playlists, and are genuinely trying to give Indie acts a chance.
Also if Corona virus was not here, they run a festival tent and once again offer indie acts a chance to play in it.
Just because they reply late to messages means that they have 1000s of emails to read through, come on guys and girls these comments are ridiculous about a company that is trying to help people have a serious career in music.
No distribution is going to get it right all the time, its human nature.

The worst experience with a distributor.
I tried with Spinnup because they offree free single distribution due to the pandemic.
I uploaded my project one month in advance and they still hadn't sent it to all the stores.
Also, they made a mistake with the song's title...
Outrageous!!
Sharp Practice
I updated my new credit card details with Spinnup to avoid my subscription expiring in 6 months time, but Spinnup treated this as the start of a brand new subscription. When I tried to obtain a refund I was told it was my fault for not reading the small print and that there was nothing they were prepared to do about it. Not what you expect from a supposedly reputable company.
Terrible service
Terrible service, one of the worst customer support systems ive ever seen. I was told by them that if I sent my song off to stores way in advance I would receive my promo link before my song was released. It is now about a week after release and still no promo link or reply from customer support. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Stick with one of its competitors such as distokid as they actually take pride in they're work and in assisting they're paying customers unlike Spinnup.

Please don't make the same mistake I have by choosing Spinnup.
My team and I worked very hard to get my music accepted on blogs and playlists.
We submitted extra early to make sure nothing could happen. About 3 weeks before the release we noticed the song was not appearing in the "upcoming releases" tab. We enquired for 3 WEEKS!!! And very minimal help, each response taking about 3 days- a week.
Fast forward to release day, the song is no where to be seen. THEY HAVE NOT DISTRUBTED IT.
Imagine the embarrassment and how unprofessional it looks to have to go to each blog and playlist and explain the situation.
You would have thought that enquiring 3 weeks prior would have made a difference Nope.
They have literally ruined months of preparation on my end, no body is helping and we are still waiting for a response.
I am going to take this as a lesson to never use Spinnup again. If you care about your music then trust me, don't use them. They don't care AT ALL.

@Spinnup they block the account first with out an explanation then when you inquire they take 48 hours to reply world class customer service if you ask me. when you ask spinnup to take down your music so you can release your music else where they don't an till you get PRS for music involved. I used the same cover art spinnup decline on tuncore who released the project with the art work on spotify and apple. This company clearly needs some restructure your not here to police peoples streams your here to distribute music and that is it. Don't try and justify anything I'm not an angry customer just look at your reviews 90% are bad reviews except the few bogus reviews staff at spinnup type up to help the companies appearance.

I‘m a first time client of Spinnup
I‘m a first time client of Spinnup. They‘re okay but rather slow with syncing the process with the stores. My song is in stores since three days and I still didn‘t get my „Unique Promo Link“ to advertise my music on my landing page. When you write customer support it can take up to 2 days (!) until you get an answer. On weekends nothing happens at all. I‘m super on top of my work and especially as a newcomer, a smooth and flawless PR is everything to me. It messed up my whole process a little and makes me look less professional than I am thanks to my distributor. It shouldn‘t be that way at all and this doesn‘t comply with my personal work ethic. This stuff can drive someone like me completely insane!
I gave some stars though because they intervened with the store to release my song earlier which worked!
Always problems with artwork.
If you don’t have a problem, Spinnup will create one for you.

This is my 3rd time using Spinnup and I must say I’ve never been so disappointed and angry with them in all my dealing with them. They used to be good to me. I have an EP that they released directly to YouTube without my permission while I tried to prepare fans before my music was to be released on the digital market. I went to the digital market and no EP in my name. Now I have to wait for the unsupporting support, who kept giving me the runaround when I had everything in place, mechanical license for cover song included. They kept asking me for things I had already submitted, then chastised me for continually putting in requests. Weeks became months with the back n forth. Now everyone gets to download all my songs for free After I paid spinnup to put me on the market. I’ve been robbed and screwed for doing business with and trusting them. I’ll never use this service again. They’ve just messed with the wrong servant of God.
Wonderful company to work with!
Wonderful company with a great website full on information about your releases. I never had any issues with releases going live when they were supposed to be. On that note you do have to take some responsibility on your end. Spinnup is strict and wants you to release the best you can. Many times I’ve had to update my album art due to it being out of focus or a lower resolution than they would want to send out. So pay attention and you won’t have any issues with your releases. You should be grateful a company wants to make sure you look good when going through them for distribution. 5 / 5 review for sure and have also had playlist placements using Spinnup!
