In the old days, the client would use words like “plastic” and “synth” after listening to a orchestral track, not anymore. This product has crossed the threshold, so they focus on the music. Well, lets face it, they only focus on the picture, but you get my point… Absolutely top notch and most importantly, intuitive and easy to play.

Abbey Road Two library is a stellar recreation of such an iconic sound. The depth of thought behind this product is outstanding. Sonically it has a playability and a realism that defies reality. The arranger is a powerful tool too. One is almost tempted to use that as the string part but when you add the individual lines you get the real magic. Only downside is the size of the samples but that is not beyond the scope of a new computer to handle even with only 16GB of ram. Top class.
Amazing sound! Brilliant! Thank you Spitfire! :)
Phenomenal. Utterly chill inducing. I quite frankly never thought a library this good was possible.
Eleanor Rigby lives! Fantastic instrument set.
THE best legato patches for solo instruments I’ve ever heard! The solo patches are brilliant. Clear, detailed, British sound. Easy to use, very adjustable, great sounding! However, the ensemble patch needs some attention. Phasing, especially when the multi-voice is turned off (I think it gets confused which notes it’s following on which instrument). Please allow for vibrato to be controlled on the long patches, it can get quite annoying quite quickly! Finally, it would be great to be able to turn the auto-panning off and on, as sometimes I want a violin for example to come in on the right, or a cello on the left, and would be a great feature to include to make the product even more user friendly and adaptable to all styles of music. Other than that though, a really superb set of recordings, that can be placed into any environment using third party reverbs and delays. Again, the detail in the Legato patches is incredible, and spitfire need to be commended on their work!
It is very convenient to use.
Great sounding library. Just epic! A great extension to the Abbey Road One pack.
Wow, very powerful and vivid. A must buy! I often record string quartets with a vintage desk and some old RCAs, and this library set the bar very high. The spicattos are exceptionally great. Nice choice of plate reverbs!
What drew me to this library is that the sounds are relatively dry and there is not much of the 'room' sound in the samples. This is perfect for pop and other contemporary music where the strings need to sit in the mix and not somewhere in the ambient background. Also the portamento is the best I've heard! Superb Spitfire quality as always.
This product is just wonderful!! I didn't know I needed it until after I used it. Now I can't do without it. Do I need to say more! Just buy it, because you will have no regrets!
After few hours testing : ***** 5 stars Well, about recording technics : Waaoo ! I'm so impress by the mics choices, the accoustic, it's brilliant. **** 4 stars Well done with the looping technics betwen the differant samples, no phasing problems, no doubling etc. Just sometimes a little power loss around 20% to 30%. But with 50% signal compression, this disappears. ** 2 stars About the GUI, which is great for Lab sounds and just few controls, but here we need more room. Ok it's a pretty interface but open 5 instance at one time and it's very difficult to find your children (as we say in france). Or the characters are too smalls. * 1 star only Why don't we keep the mix prefs between mics when we change a preset ? The lock fonction doesn't work. Why don't we have the vibrato option on all the presets ? A bug turn off a mic when you turn on another. What's the use of "velocity mapped to dynamic" ? nothing seems to change when I use it. Anyway, for me the best Solo strings of the market, because of the sound. Five stars !
Great sounding chamber string library that offers many different articulations and invites production exploration. Abbey Road Two is incredibly musical and gives a composer many options.
Out of the (many) Spitfire libraries I own, this one is particularly special. The quality of the samples is "best-in-class" as is the their proprietary user interface - which keeps improving, becoming increasingly more intuitive. Although branded and presented as a "crisp and dry string library", you will find the (pro version) mic placement options so versatile and ready to meet the needs of many situations handily.
It’s that sound! If you don’t have a string quartet at your side you need these guys. Gritty and real. Love it.
Best library you ever made.
Superb sound, very playable, easy to configure. I love it. Now, I really must get back to enjoying it! Cheers!
Brilliant!
