This is a big Niche-filler. Spitfire have obviously identified a market of hobbyists like myself, who obviously do not have an orchestra at our disposal to play our music. Well, now we do! I have been following on YouTube other musicians who have bought Core for precisely this reason. It's not perfect - it lacks a Cor Anglais and solo String players, which is a bummer. But these can be made up for by using other libraries/products (in my case it will be my Roland RD-2000 doing those duties for now.) In the meantime I'm loving learning to use it, and I'm loving hearing my orchestral ideas start to come together in a way I would not have believed possible ten years ago. Many many thanks to Christian, Paul and the team at Spitfire. You've made possible a dream of 35 Years. Suggestion for a future product: Why not put out a package which consists of the instruments that Core is missing? You've already got them all there, why not put them out as a package that Core users could buy, giving them the full range of instruments such as the Cor Anglais and Solo Strings? I would buy such a package! To sum up: I am over the moon about this product, especially at the Sale price!
Of terabytes of libraries, this is the only one I will never be without. THE orchestra in a box, ready to load, all in one place. Sounds excellent, the perfect platform for programming and composing. There are no more excuses, you have the sounds. Time to make them work.

BBC Symphony Orchestra is amazing! It has everything necessary to compose beautifully expressive pieces. It really is a perfect vst.
For some years I have been using orchestral libraries from other companies and they have served me well. I felt it time to add another. After some research I chose the BBC Symphony Orchestra Core. As I had suspected, the sound qualities of the instruments are first rate. And, it works really well with my other libraries. It brings a whole new color to my work. Another aspect I really appreciate is how well it's laid out. It is so easy to use. I will definitely be upgrading this product soon.
Great lib! Much more articulations and parameters than in Discovery version. Sounds are quite decent. It lacks solo strings a bit, but well, still great deal for the price. Really like tuned percussion here.

I really love BBC SO. The sound is incredible and the usability is great. The core edition is very affordable and accessible with a great set of instruments and articulations. I have found a few glitches as I’ve begun using it in Logic which bumps the review down one star but overall I’m very happy. Thanks Spitfire for bringing orchestration within reach 😁.
This orchestra is really well balanced. It is very easy to sketch the music and have it sound realistic. Some instruments would be really good in this reduced set. A single bass trombone, and a bass clarinet... But other than that, good job, spitfire.
Amazing sounds and a great, simple, easy-to-use plugin that has a decent amount for what you'd need for composing. The sounds are excellent, much more enjoyable to listen to than logic and the vast array of articulation for the instruments gives you the tools required to create exactly what you want. Great bit of kit.
BBCO Core it's been super useful for playing back my score when I use Dorico , an instant gratification !!
