Incredible tool for the aspiring composer. Very realistic especially if you use key-switches for technique and play w expressions.

I use BBCSO Professional in almost every cue that involves an orchestral layer. It is extremely playable, extremely flexible, and most importantly, it sounds great!

Inspiring, articulate and full.

Just as they say, this is THE starting point. A foundation that is so easy to build on top of. Quite an indispensable tool. Works great on its own and blends with other sounds quite well.

Gobsmackingly impressive product. hard to be mroe nuanced; it does everything it needs to do so well. I chose it above the Abbey Road product because of its completeness. For my purposes, having everything, including soloists, is very useful. But of course, there are many different use cases.

I just purchased a new laptop and was looking for a sketching library for travel. I use Dorico Pro, so BBCSO Discover and all of the Dorico templates that SA provided are a great starting point. But what is really cool is when I move a project from my laptop to my desktop and mode-switch into BBCSO Pro. Everything just automagically works! Hopefully this is a paradigm that many more software libraries vendors will adopt, as it is super-useful when wanting to have a low storage footprint on the go that transfers over to a desktop without having to reconfigure a bunch things! Great job SA!! Hopefully we’ll see BBCSO Discover soon for Dorico on iPad!

Outstanding! And there's so much to explore. The quality is superb and I am thrilled to be able now to really explore the orchestra. This has taken my arrangements to another level altogether

What a beautiful library this is! I've always loved spitfire libraries for their fullness of sound, but with this library they've taken it one step further in giving you full control of mic positions and reverb, and instead of having "high strings" or "Low Brass", we now in this package have full control over every single instrument group - so flutes, oboes, clarinets, as opposed to high woodwind. As always the sound quality is awe inspiring.

This is a very nice orchestral library for scoring, song producing and film sound track which I’ve been looking for many years. But there are still some problems of BBCSO,such like there are no enough choices in percussion part (cymbals are a little bit fewer, and there is no mark tree),and there are noises of some samples (if it’s in a quieter part those noises will be heard easily ,especially strings part, sometimes you will hear a release note or some noises from others when that note is over). In the other hand ,this library is made of very high quality recording and quite a lots options of mic positions, so it’s convenient for mixing and making a impressive melody line in a orchestral song. The option of solo instrument or an ensemble is very practical when doing a score which I can decide how that instrument sounds like or is it a tutti part in a same note.Almost all the woodwinds and brass have this option in solo or a3.It’s powerful when you’re doing some ensemble music which doesn’t have a whole orchestra in the same time. And the last thing I want to mention is ,this is a really big sample library, I bought a new pci-e SSD to replace my older SATA SSD to run this, but kindly there is a ram option in setting mode which can be adjusted to be compatible with your computer, so there will be no problem with running this library if you are using a SSD or USB3 SSD,it still takes some time to load them into ram when opening a whole symphony orchestra project, patient is good!

BBC symphony orchestra pro, fab sounds!

My first impression on BBCSO professional is quite positive. Strings and woodwinds are very good. The brass sound nice and warm, maybe is missing an extra layer of dynamic in order to get that kind of angry brass. I’ve noticed some differences of volume between articulations, perhaps this can be fixed with an update. Percussions are good. I personally don’t need so many microphones options, but for other users this can be a great future.

I started my journey with the BBC SO with a free copy of Discover earlier this year. I’m happy to say I was so impressed with it, I soon picked up the Core version and was suitably blown away. And now with Professional, all limits are gone. Just an outstanding library of sounds, mics and techniques. And the proprietary app lets me work at the speed of thought. I like it so much better than Kontakt. ;) keep up the great work, Spitfire!!

I met Spitfire at the time of the pandemic and I have been accompanied all this time by the BBC Orchestra, in its initial version, then Core and now the Professional. It is a great library of symphonic instruments. I use it daily to make my creations, because it has great strengths in its friendly operation, great timbre quality and sound resolution.
