Brand: Spitfire Audio

The critically acclaimed British Drama Toolkit provides an instinctive yet intense connection to the heart of your composition. Created in collaboration with composer Samuel Sim, it features an ensemble dedicated to the emotionally potent sound he is lauded for — but also presents a unique way of interacting with the players, which sets this instrument apart from anything we have created to date. For anyone looking to embrace an alternative approach to scoring, this NKS library toolkit gives you full creative freedom without the barrier of technology — allowing you to simply respond to the scene in front of you. We can’t write your music for you, but we can help you find your voice.

Play even the most prosaic chords sounds amazingly realistic with any of the presets in this library, really looking forward to getting the most out of it, which will probably take many years!

Limited, but still useful. Great for what a paid on the Black Friday sale.

The best library for just sitting down and coming up with something. The genius is in its simplicity- you play with both hands, and find yourself responding to the sounds instead of any abstract schemes that might be in your head. The characterful samples help the process along. You might decide to use other libraries once your idea is flushed out, but this will help you develop your idea faster than any other orchestral library out there.

Stellar, would have loved modwheel on it. But it’s a very unique library with soul for days. Very well optimized in terms of RAM.

Drama of a British style! Much has been said about how is this a British Drama? I would suggest purchasing it, play it and just let the unique sounds envelope you...behold! A British Drama! In all seriousness this toolkit has a quality all of its own, lush sounds that reveal underlying currents of angst and with your own feel for melodies this toolkit will certainly add a flavour that only Spitfire Audio can give, like their namesake...Spitfire sounds British, discernible from everything else in the air, this too will raise the hairs on your neck in a pleasant way! One of my favourite libraries, one that will never age, one that I highly recommend!

Beautiful, emotive, affordable, and most of all 'real'. It's an absolute pleasure to use this library, and very easy to get lost in thanks to the depth of expression available.

Sounds amazing.

It's ok, but I find myself calling on other libraries to try and mask the imperfections on this one. Unfortunately, I lost all interest in jumping to use this library, the sounds just got old and to much to fix to make anything work. It feels like there's just to much room sound, or not the greatest mics, because there's so much movement in these samples, it really doesn't work with spitfires colourful recording ways. I do want to see more unique libraries like this from spitfire however, I see a lot of potential in these ideas. Back in Time records have some great old ostinato loops that still work well, Peter Sidelezack has his collection too which are fantastic, there's always room for these if they work, and really must be recorded mono or with a differ't approach then regular note sampling or else it's just a mushy mess to arrange and mix with anything else.
